Inspire.Create #046

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Every other Monday I share my project that I have used as my entry for the Inspire.Create challenge.

This time it’s a colour challenge. The design team have made some wonderful samples as inspiration. You can see them here.

And this is what I created!

If I’m honest I wasn’t sure what I wanted to create to begin with, I don’t have all the ink colours. But I have the card stock! I already had these Stitched Rectangles left over from another project.

For some added interest, though it is not clear on the photos, I stamped the script image from the Very Versaille stamp set with versamark and heat embossed with clear powder.

The coloured rectangle was added towards the right hand side of the card with dimensionals.

I wanted a bold sentiment, I picked this one from Rooted in Nature.

This was stamped with Memento ink and die cut with a Stitched Circle. Each circle was mounted on to a Pearlized Doily.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Thanks for stopping by today and happy Stampin’!

Very Versaille Thank You

Hello Everyone,

I just love the mixture of images in the Very Versaille stamp set!

This background was really simple to create.

I wanted a more vintage feel, so I used some Very Vanilla card stock to stamp on for a change.

I positioned the text first, stamping this with Crumb Cake ink.

The foliage was stamped next with Mossy Meadow ink. This was done twice so the leaves ran along the left hand edge of the card.

I decided to heat emboss the ornate frame image with gold embossing powder.

I did try to add the sentiment directly to the card but it got lost on the background. To get round this, I stamped it again on to some scrap card and cut it with a 1″ punch.

The card front was layered onto Mossy Meadow card stock and added to a Crumb Cake card base.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Hello Everyone,

Isn’t this the most adorable stamp set?

I couldn’t decide which was my favourite so I used them all to create these simple cards.

The images were coloured using watercolour pencils and blender pens.

Each was die cut with a Layering Ovals Die and adhered to a corresponding Scalloped Oval.

A sentiment was stamped with black ink and trimmed to size.

The elements were adhered to a white card base.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Cards in a Flash

Hello Everyone,

Have you seen all the amazing Designer Series Papers in this years catalogue?

These cards use the See a Silhouette collection…. They are so pretty, I didn’t want to cover them up!

I simply added sentiments that were stamped with black ink. For contrast, these were mounted on black card stock before adhering to the cards with dimensionals.

It was so easy, I made two… This pattern is the reverse of the first.

Each 12 by 12 inch sheet can make 6 standard cards in this way… with 12 sheets in a pack, that’s a lot of cards!

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Life is So Good

Hello Everyone,

I love the flexibility that two-step Stamping offers…. These flowers could be any colour to suit any recipient.

I originally stamped the images on to a Whisper White card layer starting with the foliage.

The flower heads were added next, these were easy to line up by looking through the clear block.

The sentiment was stamped next with Memento black ink. Once this was in place, I added the little dragonflies.

I opted to die cut the images with a Stitched Rectangle Die. I adhered this to a white card base with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I have used the Beauty Abounds bundle to create my project.

The bokeh dots in the set were stamped onto the background in Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo inks.

The largest Layering Squares dies were used to make the topper base. This was adhered flat to the card base.

img_20190528_223706_wm

Four of the smallest Stitched Squares were cut and added to the topper using dimensionals.

A sponge dauber was used to apply ink to some Whisper White card stock. The butterflies were stamped over top and die cut. These were adhered to each of the squares.

The simple sentiment was stamped below the topper in black ink.

InspireINK Blog Hop – Retiring Faves

Good Morning Everybody,

Welcome to this month’s InspireINK blog hop. This time we have a themed challenge to say a fond farewell to retiring products.

Please be sure to click through all the projects in the hop by clicking on the link below.

I had to use the retiring In Colours for one last card…. It was really difficult to pick which stamp set to work with. In the end I chose the Wishing You Well set with that adorable bow!

The background panel was stamped first with Lemon Lime Twist ink. I added the flowers using Powder Pink ink. This was adhered to a white card base.

The focal image, was stamped on to a Stitched Rectangle die cut. Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig were used for the foliage and Blooms. The cute bow was added with Berry Burst ink.

I finished off by using Fresh Fig ink to stamp the sentiment which was then added with dimensionals.
