Monochrome Friday – Lemon Lolly!

Hello Everyone,

Today I’m bringing you the card I made for this week’s Monochromatic Instahop!

You can hop through all the projects from my post @stampinwithinkybutterfly

This week…. Lemon Lolly! 🌟

I have used tone on tone stamping to jazz up the card base.

A Basic White layer adds some definition to the feather panel, which was also stamped and a little ink blending around the edge.

The Modern Oval was perfect for the sentiment which was embellished with Lemon daisies, sheer ribbon and rhinestones!

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Dimensional Topper using the Flowers of Beauty Dies

Hello Everyone,

Sometimes it’s the little extras in a stamp or die set that can become the feature element of a card!

The Flowers of Beauty dies not only coordinate with the stamp set, but has these cute tiny flowers too.

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial….

I used the Stylish Shapes dies to create frame around the sentiment.

Each little flower was shaped and added with some multi-purpose glue. Rhinestones were added for lots of sparkle!

Here’s an alternative layout using different colours for the flowers and iridescent pearl centres.

Love how this turned out! I think would look great as a wedding card!

More Makes using Basic Beige!

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to have another play with Basic Beige again today alongside the Lifetime of Love stamp set.

The matching ink pad created a soft background that doesn’t distract from the feature element.

The roses were stamped with Early Espresso ink and some Wink of Stella added some shading and a soft sparkle.

I used a slightly different layout for this example with the roses more visible!

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Project Share Project Blog Hop – May 2024 – Colouring!

Good Morning Everybody,

Welcome to this month’s Project Share Project blog hop. Our theme this month is 3D!

See the other projects by using the links below, or use the “Next” button at the bottom of this post!

Victoria Littlewood – VickieLou Designs

Jayne Frank – Craft with Jayne

Heather Forgan – Stamp With Nellie

This month our theme is colouring, so I’ve decided to get my watercolour pencils out!

I’ve used the Timeless Charm online exclusive stamp set to make my card today.

The pencils give a softer look compared to Stampin’ Blends!

The images were stamped with a water resistant ink and allowed to dry completely so it didn’t smudge.

Coordinating ink was used to stamp the sentiment which I die cut with the Stylish Shapes. I used a die cutting trick to create the layer behind.

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial…

I added some colour to the background with a blending brush to make the white square stand out.

I used Stampin’ Blends for this version of my card! Which colouring technique do you like to use?

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Introducing the New Stampin’ Up! Colours

Hello Everyone,

Today I’m bringing you sneaky perks at some upcoming products that will be available to customers in May when the new Annual Catalogue goes live!

We have 5 new In Colours (left to right);

  • Peach Pie
  • Shy Shamrock
  • Summer Splash
  • Pretty in Pink
  • Petunia Pop

I used a new 3D embossing folder too, this is called Eyelet. I added coordinating ink to create an ombre look to the background.

I used the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set and punch for the sentiment.

There is a stunning die cut peeking out from behind the sentiment banner… I am going to be using these dies a lot I suspect! 😂

The In Colour ribbon is lovely and soft and ties into a bow very easily.

We have another colour joining the core range too…. Basic Beige! Sounds boring? I know…. But this is going to be so versatile… I think I’ll need to get another pack!

And look how beautifully it goes with Early Espresso!

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Project Share Project Blog Hop – April 2024 – 3D Project!

Good Morning Everybody,

Welcome to this month’s Project Share Project blog hop. Our theme this month is 3D!

See the other projects by using the links below, or use the “Next” button at the bottom of this post!

Victoria Littlewood – VickieLou Designs

Heather Forgan – Stamp With Nellie

Jayne Frank – Craft with Jayne

Those of you who follow me regularly will know this is not my usual style of crafting, but I have had a go at making a paper bag mini album.

I’ve used a mix of retiring and newer products to make my project today.

The 2023 In Colour Treat bags form the body of the album. These ones are Boho Blue.

The stamping has been done with Boho Blue and Starry Sky inks… These colours go together so well!

I recently discovered the Of Art & Texture stamp set… Love it!

You can see how I made the album in my video tutorial… It’s a longer video but I hope you enjoy it.

Here’s a view of the inside. Journalling panels were added to the pages, decorated with the same stamping and ink blending for a coordinated look.

Measurements (inches):

  • Front/Back Cover – 4⅞ x 6⅛
  • Spine – 4⅞ x 1¾, score each side at ½ inch
  • Journalling Panels – 4½ x 5¾
  • Front Panel – 4¾ x 6

I also rounded the corners. You can of course add additional layers as you would like.

This sample was made using Wild Wheat and Early Espresso, bring in the Petal Park stamps instead of Colour and Contour, (both sets are retiring)

The panels on the inside were layered on to the darker cardstock (I completely forgot on the blue version)
