Coloured Blooms

Hello Everyone,

This week I’m doubling up! Two cards each day with the same or similar products!

Today I am using the Pocketful of Happiness stamp set. This is also reduced at the moment making it a real bargain too!

This card was stamped with Memento ink and coloured using Stampin’ Blends.

The flowers feature over the base layer, softened with vellum.

Additional flowers were also fussy cut and adhered around the sentiment.

For card number 2, the flowers were stamped over the card layer with Stazon ink and coloured with watercolour pencils.

The panel was layered with black card stock and added to a white card base with dimensionals.

The same sentiment was stamped and cut with the Pretty Label Punch.

So which do you prefer? The vibrancy of markers or softness of watercolour pencils? It’s hard for me to choose!

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

In My Heart

Hello Everyone,

All the projects I am sharing this week will feature at least one retiring product.

Today it is the Modern Heart stamp set.

I kept it simple heat embossing the image with clear powder.

The facets were coloured with watercolour pencils, though I think a “real” watercolor effect may have been more successful to achieve the rainbow look.

The sentiment was added with black Memento ink.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Some little dots from the Beauty and Joy set we’re added to fill in the background.

Cherry Cobbler Ink was added to the edge of the card stock before adhering to the card base.

The sentiment was added at the bottom with dimensionals.

Warm Wishes

Hello Everyone,

I have had this idea in my head for a while, finally it is made a reality.

The card uses the Rustic Retreat stamp set which I fear has been a little overlooked but I love it.

My card base was made with Crumb Cake card stock. The pine bough image was used to embellish the background using Early Espresso ink.

The topper panel was stamped with the treeline image with Shaded Spruce, Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz inks. This was layered on to Poppy Parade card stock.

The cabin and sentiment were stamped with Early Espresso and Poppy Parade inks respectively.

Watercolour Pencils were used to add a hint of colour to the cabin before Die Cutting with a Stitched Oval die.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Inspire.Create #048

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Every other Monday I share my project that I have used as my entry for the Inspire.Create challenge.

This time it’s a theme challenge. The design team have made some wonderful samples as inspiration. You can see them here.

And this is what I created!

I have used the Beautiful Day stamp set for a simple feminine card.

The butterfly was coloured with watercolour pencils and a blender pen.

The image is easy to cut out. The wings were shaped with a bone folder. Dimensionals were placed behind the wings to keep the shape.

For a multi coloured sentiment, the stamp was inked with Stampin’ Write Markers.

Double dimensionals added extra lift against the butterfly.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Great Places

Hello Everyone,

There are so many ways to colour stamped images…. Today I am using watercolour pencils.

I prepped a card base by stamping the clouds images with Pool Party ink.

As I was watercolouring, the balloons were stamped on a separate piece of card stock with Stazon Ink.

Colour was applied to the images, concentrating on the lines. A blender pen smoothed out the lines and pulled the colour in to the rest of the image.

I used the coordinating punch to cut the balloons which were adhered with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

A sentiment was stamped with black ink and trimmed to size.

The elements were adhered to a white card base.

Birthday Cupcakes

Hello Everyone,

I love how this card turned out, pretty and simple design but really effective.

The card base was built from Whisper White card stock. A smaller panel adhered to black card stock before adding to the base.

The cupcakes and sentiment were stamped on to a separate sheet and allowed to dry.

Each cake was coloured with watercolour pencils and a blender pen then cut out with a 1-1/2 inch circle punch. Dimensionals were used to add them to the card. An extra dimensional was put behind the centre one for extra depth.

The sentiment was trimmed down and also added with dimensionals.

Good Morning,

Getting back to my schedule following the holiday season, so today I have my Global Design Project entry to share with you.

The theme this week is…. A new year. See the design team projects here

I have used the Birthday Cheer stamp set to create my project… I thought the party hats were just the thing for the theme.

I built the card base using Melon Mambo card stock. I then added a layer of glimmer paper and Whisper White card stock.

For the topper, I heat embossed the sentiment with gold powder.

The hats were stamped in Stazon black ink and coloured with watercolour Pencils and adhered using dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Birthday Presents

Hello Again,

I love this card, it turned out really great with the pastel colours.

I started this project with the presents which were stamped with Stazon Ink. This is a water resistant ink perfect for watercolouring.

I used watercolour pencils and blender pens to get this soft pastel look. These were then fussy cut. Later these were adhered with SNAIL or dimensional adhesive.

Because there are so many colours in the focal images, I used a small layer of black card stock to frame the central portion of the card.

The confetti image added some extra fun to the base card which I stamped with Smoky Slate ink.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Me to You

Hello Everyone,

For today’s post I have used the Time for Tea bundle.

I started by stamping the leaves along the left hand edge of a panel of Whisper White card stock using Smoky Slate ink. This was coloured with watercolour pencils and a blender pen.

The panel was adhered to Balmy Blue card stock and then to a white card base.

The sentiment was stamped with Balmy Blue ink and die cut.

The tea cup was stamped and coloured as the leaves were. This was also die cut and adhered with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project.
