Something Different with the Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle

Hello Everyone,

I’m trying something different with gorgeous Pearlescent Speciality Paper which has carried over to the 2021 Annual Catalogue!

I definitely prefer the addition of the Calypso Coral to the seashells and card base.

My original sample using Crumb Cake ink and gives a much more subtle effect.

One Card, Three Ways with the Art in Bloom Bundle

Hello Everyone,

I am so excited about this new product from Stampin’ Up!

The Art in Bloom bundle includes a stamp set, dies and a hybrid embossing folder!

The products can be used independently or in combination to make simple effective cards.

1. Simple stamping – use the stamps alone and colour them with your favourite medium or the two-step elements in the stamp set! I used Stampin’ Blends for my card.

2. Just emboss – use your Stampin’ Cut and Emboss to emboss your card stock. I’ve used Basic White and added colour with Blending Brushes. Why not try other card stock colours?

The ink picks out the embossed details.

3. Stamp, cut & emboss – easily line up your stamped images with the die and embossing folder. The die sits inside the folder which is specifically designed so that it is not damaged in the process – it’s so clever!

(Do not try this with your other embossing folders)

I raised the die cut pieces up on to dimensionals.

This shows just 3 options, but there are so many other combinations to try!

Layered Card with the Grace’s Bundle

I do love this stamp set and I am sorry to see it retiring.

The sketchy artwork makes the images very easy to colour, whether you use Stampin’ Blends or watercolour pencils!

Layering the die cuts gives the card lots of dimension!

Monday Colour Challenge with the Tranquil Thoughts Stamp Set

It was so tempting to get out the Friendly Flamingo stamp set, instead I turned the the Tranquil Thoughts stamp set.

I’ve used this before for a challenge, but this time I am using some of the additional dies in the bundle too.

Adding the ink with a blending brush brings out the embossed detail from the die.

Rainbow Bloom Wreath

Hello Everyone,

I thought I would make something fun and bright today, so I pulled out the Brights cardstock and started punching!

I used the Small Bloom punch in the annual catalogue for my flowers which I layered on to a die cut scalloped circle!

Stamped Background using the Inspiring Iris stamp set

Hello Everyone,

I fancied creating my own stamped panel today.

The great thing about this is how customisable it is…. These flowers could be any colour or indeed left uncoloured to suit your project.

I have used Sahara Sand, So Saffron and Soft Sea Foam as my subtle colour palette.

I used a slightly different ribbon on the original card, but felt it was a bit lost on the busy background.

Champagne rhinestones really finish them off, so pretty!

Grungy Vintage Card featuring the Positive Thoughts stamp set

I’m using one of my favourite stamp sets today, Positive Thoughts.

I was going for something simple but with grungy vintage vibe combining Rococco Rose and Early Espresso!

The coordinating dies include this gorgeous panel which I emphasised with some soft blending.

SU Colour Challenge for October

Hello Everyone,

This is my second colour challenge of the week, this time a Facebook challenge…. Why not check it out and have a go yourself?

Of course, this just screams autumnal leaves, so I chose the Loyal Leaves stamp set for my card.

Tropical Autumn

Hello Everyone,

Today’s project is all about using a stamp set in a different way!

This tropical set is going autumnal!

The colour scheme was influenced by some scraps on my craft desk which I chose to incorporate in my design.

The coordinating inks were used to stamp the leaf image.

Rainbow Leaves

Hello Everyone,

Every now and then I think it’s good to remember the beauty there is all around us.

Autumn will bring all sorts of colour to our surroundings soon, but today I am going all out with this rainbow of leaves!

I have used the Life is Beautiful stamp set available in the August to December mini catalogue.
