Two Cardmaking Challenges in One Card Design!

Hello Everyone,

Today’s card has been created for not one but two Cardmaking challenges!

The palette is from the Creative Colour Challenge, whilst the layout is taken from the Inspire Create Challenge

I used the Positive Thoughts stamp set and matching Nature’s Thoughts dies for my project…

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial…..

I just had to sneak in my beloved Stitched So Sweetly dies too!

A you h of ink emphasises the stamped panel and adding dimension to the butterflies adds even more interest to the layout.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Going Monochrome with the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set

Hello Everyone,

If you’ve just started on your cardmaking journey, it may be that you have a limited choice of supplies.

My cards today show that you can still create beautiful card designs with just a couple of inks.

I used the Free Textures & Frames stamp set, with a favourite set of mine from the annual catalogue…. Positive Thoughts.

I decided to use Very Vanilla cardstock for a vintage look. I think it looks great with both the Merry Merlot and Night of Navy variations.

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial….

I love how these cards turned out…. Do you have a favourite?

Here’s a close up of the original sample!

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Grungy Vintage Card featuring the Positive Thoughts stamp set

Hello Everyone,

I’m using one of my favourite stamp sets today, Positive Thoughts.

I was going for something simple but with grungy vintage vibe combining Rococco Rose and Early Espresso!

The coordinating dies include this gorgeous panel which I emphasised with some soft blending.

See how I made this card in my video tutorial….

I made my original sample using Pool Party. I think this would also work with Mint Macaron, Petal Pink or So Saffron… What do you think?

And here they are side by side. Do you have a favourite?

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Feel Good Wishes

Hello Everyone,

The Positive Thoughts stamp set is easily overlooked but I think it makes some incredibly lovely yet simple cards.

I cut the card layer a quarter inch smaller than usual and adhered this to a Rococo Rose card base.

Leaves were stamped with Soft Seafoam ink, with an additional image die cut and layered over the top.

The beautiful sentiment was added using Blackberry Bliss.

Some Champagne rhinestones completed the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

CAS Colours and Sketches #353

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing my project for this week’s CAS Colours and Sketches challenge.

This time it’s a sketch challenge. The design team have made some wonderful samples as inspiration. You can see them here

And this is what I created!

This is quite different from my usual makes, but I am very pleased with how it turned out.

The base was made with Basic Black card stock. The Nature’s Thoughts dies were used to cut more black card which was layered with Basic Grey card before adding with dimensionals.

For the topper Basic Grey card stock was cut to size. The sentiment from the Positive Thoughts stamp set was added in black ink.

Other elements from the set were stamped on to Whisper White card stock and die cut.

The pieces were adhered to the card with glue and dimensionals.

Some champagne rhinestones were added to the butterfly for some extra sparkle.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.
