Inspire.Create #035

Hi Everyone,

It’s time for a new challenge from Inspire.Create.

This time it’s a sketch challenge. As always there are plenty of ideas from the Design Team. See them here

This is my card for the challenge.

I used Mint Macaron ink to stamp the base card with an image from the Dragonfly Dreams set. I cut a Doily and adhered this with Multipurpose glue.

A strip of Share What You Love Designer Series Paper was added across the middle.

The sentiment was stamped with Tranquil Tide ink and added with dimensionals.

Three Bitty Blooms were punched and decorated with rhinestones.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Thanks for stopping by today and happy Stampin’!

Birthday Cupcakes

Hello Everyone,

I love how this card turned out, pretty and simple design but really effective.

The card base was built from Whisper White card stock. A smaller panel adhered to black card stock before adding to the base.

The cupcakes and sentiment were stamped on to a separate sheet and allowed to dry.

Each cake was coloured with watercolour pencils and a blender pen then cut out with a 1-1/2 inch circle punch. Dimensionals were used to add them to the card. An extra dimensional was put behind the centre one for extra depth.

The sentiment was trimmed down and also added with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Hello and welcome to the Sale-a-bration edition of the Pootlers team blog hop.

Please click the blue button at the bottom of this post to carry on hopping through the other projects.

I have chosen to work with the Botanical Butterfly DSP and Part of my Story stamp set.

The black card base was covered using the small butterfly print design.

The black check sheet was cut down for the centre. The reverse of this sheet was then used to punch out the butterfly embellishments. These could be fussy cut too.

The sentiment was stamped simply in black ink.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Green Swirl Birthday

Hello Everyone,

This card I made for an Irish friend who loves green.

And if green isn’t your colour, this design can easily be made in colours to suit your taste.

I like building backgrounds with different colour inks. The Swirly Bird stamp set is perfect for this.

I started with the largest image, stamped in the lightest colour, Soft Sea Foam. Stamping in threes is generally pleasing to the eye too.

The smaller images were added in the other colours, finishing with the splatter that was stamped with the darkest colour, Shaded Spruce.

Shaded Spruce was also used for the sentiment. This was added to over hang the layers behind the background panel.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Lovely Day #GDP173

Good Morning Everybody,

The Global Design Project challenge this week is a sweet colour challenge.

As always there is plenty of inspiration from the Design Team on their blog. You can see them here!

And this is my project.

I have to say So Saffron is not one of my favourite colours, but a challenge is a challenge and I was pleased with the end result.

I started by picking out the stamp set I wanted to work with… The pink and green led me to Flowers so I chose Forever Lovely.

Flowers and leaves were die cut and put to one side while I composed the rest of the card.

I opted to use So Saffron for the sentiment. The card stock was trimmed down and corners rounded. I added the hearts to the background to lift the sentiment, which I adhered with dimensionals.

The white layer was added to Soft Sea Foam card stock, and then to a So Saffron card base.

Finally, I added the flowers and leaves. Some used double height dimensionals for extra depth.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Butterfly Thanks

Hello Everyone,

I almost made a one layer card….. But then I thought my dimensionals would feel left out!

I have used the Beauty Abounds stamp set again today, I just love it, and this time I used some of the dies too.

The large floral image was stamped first with Coastal Cabana Ink.

Two stamped butterflies were added with Bermuda Bay ink. The sentiment was punched separately using the Classic Label Punch.

The tiny butterflies were die cut from Bermuda Bay card stock and adhered with multipurpose glue. A few white sequins completed the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Blooming Happy Birthday

Hello Everyone,

My project today is an entry for a Facebook sketch challenge.

This was the perfect opportunity to use the Stitched Rectangles Framelits.

Once I planned out my layers, I opted to use some designer series paper. I chose this fun pattern from Happiness Blooms. From here I chose Pineapple Punch card stock for the card base.

The focal image and sentiment come from the Amazing Life stamp set.

I used Blueberry Bushel ink and added the strip with dimensionals.

The cake was coloured with watercolor pencils.

Spring Summer Card Swap

Hello Everyone,

With each new catalogue there are more wonderful products to choose for your paper craft projects.

To share some inspiration, some of us demonstrators do a card swap.

These aren’t exactly the same as the ones I sent, I forgot to take photos of those…. So I remade them with 2018 in colours, the originals were in 2017 in colours.

The Stamping is all done using the Beauty Abounds set… I love those bokeh dots.

I thought the sentiment was fitting too as we are all friends in the Stampin’ Up! community.

I added the butterflies using the Butterfly Duet punch and adhered them with a glue dot.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

The Great Card Swap

Hello Everyone,

Today I am sharing a card I sent out as part of a swap group. The theme was “congratulations”.

I chose a simple design using the Well Said bundle allowing the sentiment to remain the focal point.

A splatter image from the Beauty Abounds stamp set was used to add colour to the background, increasing the intensity around where the sentiment would be positioned.

Three sets of leaves were die cut from white card stock and adhered with Multipurpose glue. The panel was added to a Gray Granite card base.

Night of Navy ink was used to stamp the sentiment. This was adhered over the bottom edge of Die cuts using dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

So Glad #GDP172

Good Morning Everybody,

This week’s challenge from the Global Design Project is to Case the designer.

The inspiration card is from Shawn. You can see what the design team have created here.

I have used the Incredible Like You stamp set. The colour scheme was chosen to match the fabulous Reversible ribbon.

The card base uses Gray Granite card stock… This is such a great addition to the Neutrals colour family.

I substituted the strip of card stock with the stripes from the stamp set.

The sentiment was stamped with Gray Granite ink and adhered with dimensionals.

Some leaves were added to the background before adding two of the Blooms. These were stamped with Coastal Cabana Ink and fussy cut.

Finally, a bow of Reversible ribbon finished the card.

Those Who Inspire Us

Good Morning Folks,

Today I am combining a Sale-a-bration freebie with one of my annual catalogue favourites.

If you do not know what Sale-a-bration is all about click below to see more about the offers available.

I built this project by starting with this great sentiment. This comes from “Part of my Story” Sale-a-bration stamp set.

This was stamped with Lovely Lipstick ink and Die cut with a Stitched Shapes Framelit. A Scalloped Layering Oval Die made the card stock layer.

The card base was made with Lovely Lipstick card stock. Ribbon was wrapped around the white layer before adhering to the base. The prepared sentiment was added usind dimensionals.

The Pop of Petals stamp set was used to add some greenery to the background. Three flowers were stamped & punched. These were secured in position with glue dots.

Finally, some leaves were punched from Lemon Lime Twist card stock. Glitter Enamel dots completed the card.

Inspire.Create #034

Hello Everyone,

The Inspire.Create team have set a brand new colour challenge.

The inspiration has come directly from the Happiness Blooms suite of products from Stampin’ Up!

See what the design team have created with this palette here

I opted to let the experts do the hard work combining the colours. I picked out this pattern from the Designer Series Paper pack.

I wanted to add a sentiment to suit the bright colours. I chose this from the Friendly Expressions stamp set. I changed the layout by inking parts of the stamp separately.

I then used the Stitched Rectangle dies to cut the sentiment and a small strip of Night of Navy card stock.

Finally, I added some extra embellishments by punching some Bitty Blooms from Calypso Coral card stock. A Pineapple Punch enamel dot was added to the centres.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Pootlers Spring Summer Blog Hop

Hello Everyone!

Today I am blog hopping with team mates showcasing the products from the Spring / Summer catalogue.

If you’ve not decided what to buy or need ideas for projects, this is the hop you need.

At the bottom of this post is a link to the other entries… Please do check them out!

I have resisted using this gorgeous stamp set especially for this hop. It’s called Wonderful Romance. I have also incorporated the stunning Speciality Designer Series Paper, this particular sheet is actually printed on to Vellum!

The main image was stamped in Stazon Ink. An aqua painter was used to watercolour the image, once dry this was die cut.

Dimensionals were used to adhere the die cut to the card base.

The sentiment was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink, punched & mounted on to the lovely oval die cut from the same bundle.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Watercolour Rooster

Good Morning,

I have to admit this guy was not top of my list to choose as a Sale-a-bration freebie…. But look how cute this card is, super pleased with the watercolouring!

If you do not know what Sale-a-bration is all about click below to see more about the offers available.

I started by stamping the rooster and sentiment with black waterproof ink using the Stamparatus. While that dried completely, the background layer was stamped with Crushed Curry ink.

Acrylic blocks make fantastic little watercolour palettes. Whether the ink is taken from an ink pad or a Stampin’ Write marker this is perfect for smaller projects. The blocks are easily cleaned with a cloth or Stampin’ Shammy.

I used my aquapainter to add colour to the image.

I decided to stick to a neutral card base, using Crumb Cake card stock.

The stamped topper was adhered to the base using dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.
