Upline Colour Challenge 2

Hello Everyone,

Here’s another colour challenge card, just a bit of fun during these crazy times.

I have taken the opportunity to showcase some retiring products, Pop of Petals, Perennial Birthday, Four Petal Flower punch and the Leaf Punch.

You can see all the last chance products here along with links to the Early Release Product Medley and the Clearance Rack.

I stamped my own background layer with Pop of Petals and Mango Melody ink. This adhered to a Poppy Parade card base.

Coastal Cabana ink was used to add some leaves to separate layer and stamp the sentiment. I ran a Poppy Parade marker along the edge and adhered this with dimensionals.

Flowers were stamped with Poppy Parade ink and punched out. Multi purpose glue was used to secure them to the card.

Finally, some punched vellum leaves added some additional details and texture.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Thanks for stopping by today and happy Stampin’!

Laurie’s Card

Hello Everyone,

I designed a card last week for a colour challenge that I was really pleased with, so when I realised it was a good friends birthday coming up I knew I wanted to make it again.

The original colours consisted of 2 neutrals to which I added a contrasting bright colour.

For this combo I chose Smoky Slate and Merry Merlot from the neutrals. I opted for Mango Melody as the contrasting colour.

I started by preparing a Smoky Slate card base and cutting Merry Merlot and Whisper White card stock layers.

The sentiment was stamped withe Merry Merlot ink and cut out with a Stitched So Sweetly die. This was adhered to vellum also cut with a die.

Before adhering the layers to the base, Smoky Slate ink was used to stamp the foliage. The layers were adhered together and added to the card with dimensionals.

The sentiment was added next, also with dimensionals.

Finally, the flowers were stamped with Mango Melody ink and punched. The petals were shaped before securing to the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Inspire.Create #064

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing a project that I have used as my entry for the Inspire.Create challenge.

This time it’s a colour challenge. The design team have made some wonderful samples as inspiration. You can see them here.

And this is what I created!

My choice of colour was Lovely Lipstick. I thought this would add some contrast to the otherwise neutral pallette.

The base card was prepared using Crumb Cake card stock. Layers of Night of Navy and White were cut with Stitched Rectangle dies.

I picked a bold sentiment from the So Sentimental stamp set. This was cut with the coordinating die. Before sticking this down, I first added foliage images from the Pop of Petals stamp set and Crumb Cake ink.

Three flowers were stamped with Lovely Lipstick ink and cut with the coordinating punch.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Inspire.Create #055

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Every other Monday I share my project that I have used as my entry for the Inspire.Create challenge.

This time it’s a colour challenge. The design team have made some wonderful samples as inspiration. You can see them here.

And this is what I created!

This was quite a tricky combination! Once I decided that Lovely Lipstick and Old Olive would be used for a floral, I picked out Pop of Petals to create my design.

I used Blushing Bride card stock to make the card base which I stamped with coordinating ink.

Leaves were stamped on the topper panel with Old Olive ink and layered with Night of Navy card stock.

The flowers were stamped on to some scrap card stock using Lovely Lipstick ink and cut with the coordinating punch.

The Well Said stamp set provided the sentiment which was stamped with Night of Navy ink. The Classic Label punch fits over this perfectly and was adhered with mini dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Watercoloured Shimmer Petals

Hello Everyone,

The Shimmer White Embossing powder was a new addition to the 2019 catalogue… I can’t believe I have waited so long to use it.

These watercoloured flowers look amazing….

The flowers were stamped with versamark ink on to watercolour paper and embossed with Shimmer White powder.

I used a selection of inks to paint the Petals. Once dry, they were cut out with the coordinating punch.

I prepped a card base with the speckles from the Waterfront stamp set using Grey Granite ink.

The flowers were arranged in a circle to form a rainbow.

The sentiment, also from the Waterfront set, was stamped on to a 2 inch circle and added to the centre of the card with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

A piece of DSP was layered on to a Whisper White card base.

Stitched Rectangle dies were used to cut a frame and an additional smaller rectangle.

The sentiment from the Abstract Impressions set was stamped on to the rectangle with Flirty Flamingo ink.

The frame and sentiment were added to the card with dimensionals.

Blooms from the Pop of Petals stamp set were stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink and punched out. These were adhered with Multipurpose glue.

Leaves were punched from vellum for added texture.

I liked this so much I made this version with Highland Heather.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Petal Thanks

Hello Everyone,

Today’s project is about using up scraps. I had a bunch of Designer Series Paper strips left over from something else, (which you will see on Tuesday)!

The strips were trimmed slightly to 5-3/4 inches in length and adhered to a white card base.

A coordinating ink colour was used to stamp the bold sentiment from All Things Thanks. This was die cut with a Stitched Rectangle die and adhered with dimensionals.

The same inks were used to stamp the flowers which were cut with the coordinating punch.

Lastly, some leaves were punched from vellum. These were slotted behind the flowers and secured with Multipurpose glue.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Just Black & White

Good Morning,

Today’s project is a Facebook challenge entry….. The theme is black and white.

I went straight to the free Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper knowing there were a number of black and white designs.

I adhered the paper to a Whisper White card base.

The white panel was stamped with Timeless Textures before adding to the card.

The sentiments were selected from the Rooted in Nature stamp set. A 2-1/4 inch circle punch was used to cut the largest, whilst the other was stamped straight on to a narrow strip of card. These were adhered with dimensionals.

The flowers were stamped and punched and were added to the card along with some sequins.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Those Who Inspire Us

Good Morning Folks,

Today I am combining a Sale-a-bration freebie with one of my annual catalogue favourites.

If you do not know what Sale-a-bration is all about click below to see more about the offers available.

I built this project by starting with this great sentiment. This comes from “Part of my Story” Sale-a-bration stamp set.

This was stamped with Lovely Lipstick ink and Die cut with a Stitched Shapes Framelit. A Scalloped Layering Oval Die made the card stock layer.

The card base was made with Lovely Lipstick card stock. Ribbon was wrapped around the white layer before adhering to the base. The prepared sentiment was added usind dimensionals.

The Pop of Petals stamp set was used to add some greenery to the background. Three flowers were stamped & punched. These were secured in position with glue dots.

Finally, some leaves were punched from Lemon Lime Twist card stock. Glitter Enamel dots completed the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Thinking of You – Just Add Ink #418

Good Morning Everybody!

Today I am sharing my entry for this week’s Just Add Ink challenge.

The design team have made some great inspirational projects. You can see them here!

I found this set of colours tricky… The Daffodil Delight is very bright compared to the other colours in the palette.

This is what I created.

I decided to use Daffodil Delight designer series paper for the background. A 4 inch square was cut diagonally, each portion being adhered into the corners of a Whisper White card base.

Soft Sea Foam ink was used to add some leaves to the gap.

I wanted a bold sentiment. I picked out “thinking of you” from the Rooted in Nature Stamp set. This was stamped with Daffodil Delight ink and cut with a 2-1/4 inch circle punch.

Three flowers from the Pop of Petals stamp set were stamped with Blushing Bride ink and cut with the coordinating punch.

I used the Leaf punch to cut three sets of leaves from Soft Sea Foam card stock.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

The supplies used are listed below.
