Clean & Simple featuring Butterfly Gala

Hello Everyone,

White space gives cards a simple but sophisticated look.

I have used my usual ‘card formula’ for today’s project…

Card Base, A4 cut lengthways at 4-1/8 inches and score at 5-7/8 inches.

Card Layer, 4 by 5-3/4 inches

Small Mat, 3-1/8 by 4-7/8 inches

Small Card Layer, 3 by 4-3/4

The card layer was embossed for texture and interest.

Outline images don’t have to be stamped in black ink, I used Basic Grey and Early Espresso.

Better with You

Hello Everyone,

With the new 2020 annual catalogue just weeks away, today’s card mixes current annual catalogue and mini catalogue favourites.

Best Dressed designer series paper was adhered to a white card base.

A white panel was stamped with the sentiment from the Butterfly Gala set using Granny Apple Green ink.

The butterflies were stamped separately with Memento ink. Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blend was added to the back of the image. Petal Pink marker was used to blend first on the back and then on the front.

The images were punched out, shaped and adhered to the card.

Butterfly Grove

Hello Everyone,

Today I am revisiting a favourite set from the annual catalogue for a colour challenge;

This one had me stumped and this was the third attempt at something I liked. I think the Grapefruit Grove was the sticking point but found a way to use it without overpowering the design.

I stamped the butterflies with Night of Navy ink. Seaside Spray and Coastal Cabana inks were used to fill in the images. These were cut with the coordinating punch.

Grapefruit Grove ink was used for the sentiment and cut with a Stitched Rectangle die.

I built up the card layers and added the sentiment with dimensionals. Three butterflies were adhered with multipurpose glue with the wings bent up for extra texture.

Inspired by Friends

Hello Everyone,

The last few weeks have been a bit full on meaning I have had less time to craft. I’ve also been having some crafters block. So I have taken inspiration from one of my friends!

The original design was created by my friend Helzie. You can read her blog post here.

I was lucky enough to receive one of these lovely cards when I spent a crafty afternoon with her and other members of the team.

My spin on this card was to use the new metallic pigment inks from the Autumn Winter catalogue. These were applied with sponge daubers on to some Very Vanilla card stock which was then adhered behind the laser cut panel.

My sentiment was from the Waterfront stamp set and cut twice with the Tailored Tag Punch.

To embellish, I opted for Polka Dot Tulle ribbon and some butterflies from the Butterfly Gala stamp set.

Blue Green Butterflies

Hello Everyone,

Spring time brings flowers and they bring butterflies. This inspired today’s card.

I prepared a white card base. A white card layer was stamped with Granny Apple Green ink using a leaf image from the Rooted in Nature stamp set.

Butterflies from the Butterfly Gala stamp set were stamped with black ink. Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay inks were used to colour the images before cutting with coordinating punch.

These were shaped with a stylus before adhering to a smaller card layer.

A sentiment was cut with a Stitched Rectangle die.

Pretty in Pink

Hello,

Well today is my birthday! And I have the pleasure of sharing it with my friend, and this is the card I gave her.

I had to chose Flirty Flamingo as the base colour…. She loves flamingoes!

I added the beatiful Edgelit along the bottom.

The greeting was taken from the Lemon Zest stamp set and stamped with Melon Mambo ink. This fitted perfectly in to a Stitched Rectangle die.

Three little butterflies were punched out and added to the top, wings slightly lifted for extra movement.

Colourful Butterflies

Hello Everyone,

Today I am having a play with these three great Stampin’ Up! colours in a Facebook colour challenge.

I started by preparing a white card base, Stamping the background with Touches of Textures.

A Stitched Rectangle was adhered over the top with dimensionals. The sentiment was also cut with a Framelit and secured in position.

The butterflies were stamped and punched. I added these to the card and decorated them with rhinestone jewels.

Hello Everyone,

This is Butterfly Gala…. A gorgeous new stamp set coming to you soon.

Each image can be stamped and coloured in many different ways, and no need to fussy cut…. There is a matching punch!

I chose to use Pineapple Punch and Grapefruit Grove. I applied the ink to the stamped images with a sponge dauber.

The rest of the card I kept black & white. I love this bold sentiment.
