I chose to use some ink blending to create the vertical panel.

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial…..

This colour combo reminds of a sunset on a summer’s evening!

The black layer ties the embossing and sentiment together.

This card takes on a completely different look by using these deeper colours. White embossing would look good too!

Inspire.Create Sketch Challenge with the Vine Design Bundle

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing a project that I have used as my entry for the Inspire.Create challenge.

This time it’s a sketch challenge. The design team have made some wonderful samples as inspiration. You can see them here.

And this is what I created!

When I saw the circle in the sketch, I knew I wanted to use the Vine Design Bundle for my project!

I used blending brushes to add some colour to the detailed die cut.

The flowers were stamped with Seaside Spray ink and also die cut for layering over the top.

See how the card was put together in my video tutorial….

The label me fancy punch was perfect for cutting the sentiment.

Rhinestones were added to the centre of each flower. These could be substituted with pearls or other embellishments.

This sample used Rococo Rose. Which is your favourite?

I hope you enjoyed this project.

CAS Colours and Sketches #355

Hello Everyone,

Today’s card is my entry for the CAS Colours & Sketches challenge.

This week there is a sketch to work with. The design team have created some very creative samples that you can see here

As I missed out on the previous week’s colour challenge, I’m throwing this in too just for fun!

And this is what I have designed.

I have used the Daisy Lane bundle from the annual catalogue.

I started by stamping the leaf from the set with Granny Apple Green ink. This panel was added to a white card base with dimensionals.

Daisies were stamped in Seaside Spray ink and punched out. These were adhered along the top of the stamped panel.

The sentiment is from the Sale-a-bration set, Sending you Thoughts. I used Rococo Rose ink and cut these with a Stitched Rectangle die.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Inspire.Create #050

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Every other Monday I share my project that I have used as my entry for the Inspire.Create challenge.

This time it’s a sketch challenge. The design team have made some wonderful samples as inspiration. You can see them here.

And this is what I created!

As you can see, I opted to change the circle to a star….. I have been itching to use the new So Many Stars Bundle!

I prepared a Night of Navy card base and added to this a white layer stamped with the tiny stars in the set using Pacific Point Ink.

A smaller panel was masked off with post it notes and inked with Pacific Point. Stars were stamped over the top with versamark and embossed with clear powder.

The section was inked again, this time with Night Of Navy. Additional stars were embossed with white powder.

The sentiment was added with Pacific Point Ink. The panel was matted with Night Of Navy card stock and adhered to the base with dimensionals.

A large star was stamped and die cut and adhered to the card with dimensionals. A few adhesive sequins completed the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Inspire.Create #047

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Every other Monday I share my project that I have used as my entry for the Inspire.Create challenge.

This time it’s a sketch challenge.

The design team have made some wonderful samples as inspiration. You can see them here.

And this is my card…

The sketch reminded me of the sun so I cut a circle from some scrap paper and used it as a stencil.

I added Daffodil Delight ink first, working from the edge of the stencil to the centre. I then moved to Pumpkin Pie and then a touch of Poppy Parade around the edges.

To continue the tropical sunset feel, I chose to add the palm trees from the Friend Like You stamp set using Memento Ink. The sentiment in the set fitted in nicely too.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

This week is a sketch challenge at the Global Design Project!
See what the Design Team have created here.

……. And this is my project…..

For this project, I have used the Daisy Lane bundle and teamed this with the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper.

The greens within the pattern inspired the use of Mint Macaron to stamp my daisies. These were punched out and shaped with a large ball stylus and adhered to a small piece of Mint Macaron card stock.

The DSP was adhered to a white card base, and the Daisy panel was secured towards the top.

The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped on to Garden Green card stock, (a colour also featured in the paper) and heat embossed in white.

A small bow was tied from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo to complete the card.

Two additional smaller squares were cut from Fresh Fig card stock. These were adhered with dimensionals.

Leaves from the Rooted in Nature stamp set were stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink and die cut with the coordinating Framelits. These were added to each of the squares.

The sentiment was stamped onto a strip of card stock and adhered with dimensionals.
