Tropical Sketch

Hello Everyone,

Today’s card is inspired by a sketch challenge set by Ian Potter

I have adjusted the measurements to suit my design.

The background features the beautiful Tropical Escape DSP.

The pieces were trimmed to size. The uppermost layer measuring 3 inches wide.

A sentiment from the coordinating stamp bundle was stamped with Shaded Spruce ink.

Additional leaves were die cut from the DSP sheets and layered below the sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

A complementary paper was cut to 2-1/2 by 3-1/2 inches.

A Whisper White piece was cut to the same dimensions and stamped with Blushing Bride leaves.

Soft Sea Foam and Shaded Spruce inks were used for the sentiment before adhering to the card with dimensionals.

Just Thanks #GDP160

Hello Everyone,

It’s Global Design Project challenge time. This week it’s a case the designer challenge from Krista.

The sample card is gorgeous… Using one of my most favourite stamp sets.

The design team have made some great projects based on Krista’s design. You can see them all here

I resisted using the same stamp set and instead pulled out Tropical Chic and the matching dies and paper.

Some patterned paper was adhered to a white card base.

On a separate white card layer, I stamped the palm leaves with Soft Sea Foam ink. This layer was added to the card with dimensionals.

On a separate scrap of card, the sentiment was stamped with Berry Burst ink. Powder Pink ink was used to add the stripes to the edge.

Another palm leaf was stamped in Shaded Spruce ink and die cut.

A small bow of Berry Burst Ruffled Ribbon was adhered with glue dots. Gold pearls completed the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Inspire.Create #023

Good Morning,

Welcome to another Inspire. Create challenge post. The team have a sketch challenge this time. All of their inspirational ideas can be seen here!

And this my creation featuring Tropical Escapes Designer Series Paper.

I started with a Whisper White card base.

Two pieces of paper were selected from the pack, I went with the complementary greens. A 2 inch strip was cut from each.

Each strip was cut down to 5-3/4 inches to fit the card base. Then again a 2-1/2 inches.

The pieces were then secured to the card base with snail adhesive.

A length of Lemon Lime Twist mini Ruffled ribbon was adhered along the join.

A sentiment from the coordinating stamp set was stamped on to a strip of white card stock using Shaded Spruce ink. This was added with dimensionals.

Some die cut leaves added some extra texture.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.
