Recreating Helzie’s Colour Pop Card!

Hello Everyone,

I had the best weekend with 40 other demonstrators at our team retreat put together by my upline Sam!

Part of the fun was learning to make projects designed by others. This card is inspired by Helzie’s make and take project. You can find her on Social Media as Slimm and Stylish

I twisted my original card sample to include this colour pop technique.

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial….

My colour combo was Crumb Cake, Polished Pink, Soft Succulent and Soft Sea Foam…

I added the sentiment banner and some White Frayed Ribbon and finished it all off with Basic Pearls.

Here are the cards I made at the retreat!

I hope you enjoyed this project.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Thanks for stopping by today and happy Stampin’!

Simple Masking Technique with the Springtime Joy stamp set

Hello Everyone,

Masking is a useful but simple technique to achieve a different look with yours stamps without adding additional layers.

The front most image is stamped first and then covered with a paper mask. Cutting the mask from sticky note paper means it stays in place while the other images are stamped over the top.

You can see how to do this in my video tutorial….

Of course I had to get my Stampin’ Blends out to colour these little guys!

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Brusho Stencilling

Good Morning!

I thought I would do a little experiment with my stencils.

I wasn’t sure it would work. I thought maybe the water would seep under the stencil and ruin the pattern. But as you can see it worked a treat.

I taped down the stencil over some watercolour paper and spritzed clean water over the top.

With the stencil still in place, the Brusho powder was sprinkled over the design. I used all the colours!

I removed the stencil carefully. Some powder was resting on mostly dry paper, so I added a few extra fine sprays of water to seal all the powder in place.

The piece was allowed to dry completely and cut down to size and adhered to a black card base.

I picked out the Thanks sentiment from the You Move Me stamp set. This was heat embossed with white powder and adhered with dimensionals.

A few perfect white accents were added to finish the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Thanks for stopping by and happy Stampin’!
