Swirly Birthday #GDP177

Hello Everyone,

This week the challenge is a colour challenge!

And this is my card…

I love the Swirly Bird stamp set…. It can be used for any occasion, gender neutral, and works with just about any colour combination going!

I started with Granny Apple Green ink, stamping the splatter image in both first and second generation ink.

The large swirl was added next with Coastal Cabana ink. The same ink, but second generation, was used for the smaller swirl.

For the sentiment, I used the bold font of the Perennial Birthday set with Melon Mambo ink. I adhered this to the card with dimensionals.

Tiny Victory

Hello Everyone,

I love Soft Sea Foam so had to use it for this floral card.

For the topper, I die cut a Scalloped Circle.

The florals were stamped on to a punched circle.

The Vase was stamped separately and punched out the the coordinating punch. This was added to the topper with dimensionals…. I think I might be addicted to dimensionals.

I picked out this lovely sentiment which I stamped I plain black ink.

Cloud 9

Hello Everyone,

My card has used just one ink colour, one matching colour card, white card and one stamp set with matching dies.

I stamped some clouds on to a white card layer and adhered this to a Coastal Cabana card base.

I added another smaller panel layered with more Coastal Cabana card to this with dimensionals.

The balloon and cloud were die cut from white card.

The sentiment was stamped with matching ink and added to the front with dimensionals.

For His Birthday

Hello Everyone,

Today’s project combines a couple of Facebook challenges, a sketch and and a theme.

I decided to use these grungy papers, couldn’t resist the map!

I used a black card base to let the colours of the design stand out.

Each banner was cut by hand, though the triple banner punch would have done the trick too.

I took the sentiment from the Birthday Cheer set and punched this with a 1-1/2 inch circle.

I used the Love You To Pieces bundle.

The sentiment was stamped with Melon Mambo Ink and Die cut with a Stitched Oval.

This was adhered to a Powder Pink card base with dimensionals.

Good Morning,

Today I am using the Climbing Roses bundle to create this card.

I started by stamping the trellis image on to some Whisper White card stock. This was adhered to a Mango Melody card base.

The sentiment was stamped with Granny Apple Green ink and die cut with the coordinating Framelits.

The flowers were stamped with Memento Ink to allow colouring with Stampin’ Blends.

I liked the white embossed sentiment. I picked out these from the Well Said stamp set.

For the rainbow element I decided to die cut some butterflies.

I mounted these on to a smaller white panel layered on to Smoky Slate card stock.

So Much to Love

Hello Everyone,

For today’s card, I’m letting the sentiment shine through on a back drop of pretty Designer Series Paper.

This sweet DSP is from the Garden Impressions collection. I adhered this to a white card base.

The excess paper was die cut on the reverse side with a Stitched Rectangle die. This was added to the card with Snail adhesive.

The sentiment was selected from the coordinating stamp set, Abstract Impressions. This was stamped with Pacific Point ink and die cut with a Stitched Rectangle Die. This was adhered off set against the blue paper using dimensionals.

A knot of Night of Navy baker’s twine was added as a finishing touch.

Inspire.Create #036

Hello and Welcome to this week’s Inspire.Create challenge.

As always the design team have made some wonderful samples. You can see them all here

And this is my card featuring Lasting Lily.

This stamp set is one of the Distinctive range, allowing for greater detail with a single impression.

I used Balmy Blue ink which I applied with a sponge dauber. I then added the stem.

The sentiment was stamped with Smoky Slate ink.

The panel was layered on to Balmy Blue card stock and and some Polka Dot Tulle was tied around the bottom.

This was then secured to a Smoky Slate card base with dimensionals.

Hello Everyone,

This card has been made for a Facebook colour challenge from Amanda.

Lovely Lipstick

Crumb Cake

And this is what I created with the Forever Lovely stamp set.

I used the large images as the main focus, using Crumb Cake rather than green for the foliage.

The sentiment was added with Lovely Lipstick ink.

I then added lots of layers. Dimensionals were used behind the Crumb Cake layer for added interest.

Lifetime of Love

Good Morning All,

Today I have a touch of #simplestamping, just one stamp set, one ink pad and some DSP.

Some Specialty Vellum was added to a white card base.

The main image was stamped on to separate panel of card stock with Gray Granite ink. This was adhered to the base with Snail.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment. This was trimmed to fit the panel and added using dimensionals.

Very Simple Valentine

Good Morning,

Isn’t this a cute card. It is so easy to make!

For the base, a piece of All My Love DSP was adhered to Soft Sea Foam card stock.

Some Polka Dot Tulle was wrapped across the middle before adding to a white case base.

The sentiment was stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink and cut with a circle punch. This was layered with circles cut from vellum and Soft Sea Foam card stock. Finally, this was adhered to the card with dimensionals.

And this is my card….

The card base was made with Whisper White card stock. Some Share What You Love DSP.

Flowers were stamped with Mint Macaron ink on to a separate piece of card. This was adhered to a layer of vellum.

Petal Pink variagated ribbon was added around this before adding to the base with dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped with Petal Pink ink and cut with a Stitched Circle Framelit. Some sequins completed the card.

One Leaf

Hello Everyone,

Something very simple to share with you today.

Soft Sea Foam is one of my favourite Stampin’ UP! colours. I used this to stamp the leaf which was then die cut.

This adhered to a vellum circle with dimensionals.

On a white card base, I stamped a splatter image front Timeless Textures. Crumb Cake ink was used to add the sentiment.

The vellum circle was then adhered to the card, also with dimensionals.

More Blended Blooms

Hello Everybody,

I loved making yesterday’s card, so here’s another using similar supplies.

This time I chose the large oval sentiment which was stamped with Soft Sea Foam Ink.

I added some of the larger flowers to this card, coloured with Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends Markers.

The composition meant I needed to trim down my usual card base so the images were central.

Tropical Sketch

Hello Everyone,

Today’s card is inspired by a sketch challenge set by Ian Potter

I have adjusted the measurements to suit my design.

The background features the beautiful Tropical Escape DSP.

The pieces were trimmed to size. The uppermost layer measuring 3 inches wide.

A sentiment from the coordinating stamp bundle was stamped with Shaded Spruce ink.

Additional leaves were die cut from the DSP sheets and layered below the sentiment.

Just Black & White

Good Morning,

Today’s project is a Facebook challenge entry….. The theme is black and white.

I went straight to the free Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper knowing there were a number of black and white designs.

I adhered the paper to a Whisper White card base.

The white panel was stamped with Timeless Textures before adding to the card.

The sentiments were selected from the Rooted in Nature stamp set. A 2-1/4 inch circle punch was used to cut the largest, whilst the other was stamped straight on to a narrow strip of card. These were adhered with dimensionals.

The flowers were stamped and punched and were added to the card along with some sequins.
