Monochrome Koi

Hello Everyone,

You will all know, I love this stamp set, it was one of the first I purchased when the current annual catalogue went live.

Sadly, this set will be retiring at the end of May, so if you love it too, grab it while you can.

So today, I thought I would try a monochrome look with this set.

Once again, with this detailed stamp, I used the Stamparatus tool to add layers of ink without the worry of misaligning the image.

I started with Smoky Slate, then used a dauber to add Tuxedo Black Memento to the areas I wanted it darker.

The layering was simple on to Basic Black card stock and them Smoky Slate with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Your Thoughtfulness

Hello Everyone,

Today, I have inking this gorgeous koi carp from the All The Good Things stamp set.

I used the Stamparatus to create the mottled Colouring of the fish. Using a sponge dauber to apply the ink where I wanted it, I stamped with Poppy Parade ink first. I repeated this with Gray Granite ink.

I layered the stamped card on to Poppy Parade card stock and adhered this to a Whisper White card base.

The sentiment was heat embossed in gold and added along the bottom with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Rainbow Fishes

Good Morning,

I have shared a few cards with this set already, I just love these fish. Today, I am going for a little more fanciful look, using a rainbow colours.

I have used the Stamparatus again to ensure the images stamp well. I have used two colours for each fish too, though it doesn’t show particularly well in the photos;

  1. Poppy Parade, Cherry Cobbler
  2. Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie
  3. So Saffron, Crushed Curry
  4. Granny Apple Green, Garden Green
  5. Balmy Blue, Pacific Point
  6. Highland Heather, Blackberry Bliss

The sentiment was added simply with black ink.

Some Pearly White sequins and clear rhinestones added some sparkle and shine.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Thoughtfulness #GDP145

Hello Everyone,

I am playing along with the Global Design Project today.

This week is a colour challenge. There is lots of inspiration from the design team, you can see all their projects here!

I have used my favourite set, All The Good Things!

On Very Vanilla card stock, I stamped the small fish with Grapefruit Grove and Fresh Fig ink. Applying the ink with a sponge dauber gives a multicoloured look.

The panel was layered on to Mint Macaron card stock and then on to a Fresh Fig card base.

The sentiment was stamped on to a strip of Very Vanilla card stock. The small flower was stamped over the top with Mint Macaron ink. This was then adhered with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Perseverance

Good Morning,

I love today’s project! It turned out just as I had hoped. I had seen a short video clip of swimming koi and noticed many of them had large areas of white on them.

I thought about how I could achieve this.

As with my previous card using the smaller fishes; I used the Stamparatus to build the layers.

Using sponge daubers to apply the ink; I started with a little bit of Gray Granite. Added Poppy Parade around the head and tip of the tail, then added some Pumpkin Pie.

I was careful not to add ink to the middle of the body. The final step was inking the whole thing with versamark. This was stamped twice to ensure good coverage and then heat embossed with clear powder.

Pool Party and Soft Sea Foam ink was added around the fish to bring out the “white” parts and the illusion of water. A light spritz with water added to the effect.

The final piece was mounted on to Gray Granite card stock and then a Soft Sea Foam card base.

Ihope you like this as much as I did.

The supplies used are listed below and linked to my 24/7 online store.

The Good Things #GDP143

Hi Everyone,

The Global Design Team have given lots of scope with this week’s challenge!

So in honour of the endless inspiration that the new Stampin’ Up! annual catalogue brings, crafters have been encouraged to love it, live it and share it!

My share is this card using All The Good Things. The lovely fishes reminded me of the pond we had when I was growing up. I also really love using texture stamps so I also included Artisan Textures.

I stamped the fishes first on to a Whisper White card layer. Rather than using a single colour, I combined Mango Melody and Poppy Parade. The ink was applied with sponge daubers.

I picked out a sentiment and stamped this with Early Espresso ink.

Once this was in place, I decided to cut down the panel. I did not measure this, but instead lined up the edge of the image with the edge of the blade guide on my trimmer. This was then added to Pool Party card stock to give a 1/8 inch border.

On a Whisper White card base, I used Pool Party and Coastal Cabana ink to add the “watery” texture.

The fishes panel was then added with dimensionals. To add just a bit of being, three Petal Pink adhesive sequins.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.
