Upline Colour Challenge 2

Hello Everyone,

Here’s another colour challenge card, just a bit of fun during these crazy times.

I have taken the opportunity to showcase some retiring products, Pop of Petals, Perennial Birthday, Four Petal Flower punch and the Leaf Punch.

You can see all the last chance products here along with links to the Early Release Product Medley and the Clearance Rack.

I stamped my own background layer with Pop of Petals and Mango Melody ink. This adhered to a Poppy Parade card base.

Coastal Cabana ink was used to add some leaves to separate layer and stamp the sentiment. I ran a Poppy Parade marker along the edge and adhered this with dimensionals.

Flowers were stamped with Poppy Parade ink and punched out. Multi purpose glue was used to secure them to the card.

Finally, some punched vellum leaves added some additional details and texture.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Feel Good Wishes

Hello Everyone,

The Positive Thoughts stamp set is easily overlooked but I think it makes some incredibly lovely yet simple cards.

I cut the card layer a quarter inch smaller than usual and adhered this to a Rococo Rose card base.

Leaves were stamped with Soft Seafoam ink, with an additional image die cut and layered over the top.

The beautiful sentiment was added using Blackberry Bliss.

Some Champagne rhinestones completed the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

You Are…..

Hello Everyone,

This has to be my favourite stamp set in the annual catalogue. I love the versatility it offers for so many occasions.

Today, I chose bright colours to brighten the day during the lockdown.

I stamped the leaves first. I used my Stamparatus to layer the inks, applying them to the stamp with a sponge dauber. I started with Bermuda Bay, wiped the stamp clean, then added Granny Apple Green. Each leaf was die cut ready to add to the card later.

A simple background was stamped on to a Whisper White card panel with Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo inks. This was secured to a Melon Mambo card base with snail adhesive.

The sentiment was stamped separately and cut with the Timeless Label punch. This and the die cut leaves were added with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Better with You

Hello Everyone,

With the new 2020 annual catalogue just weeks away, today’s card mixes current annual catalogue and mini catalogue favourites.

A white panel was stamped with the sentiment from the Butterfly Gala set using Granny Apple Green ink.

The butterflies were stamped separately with Memento ink. Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blend was added to the back of the image. Petal Pink marker was used to blend first on the back and then on the front.

The images were punched out, shaped and adhered to the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Love & Happiness

Hello Everyone,

Today’s project is a wedding card! The couple didn’t have an official colour scheme si I picked out this pretty Magnolia Lane designer series paper.

The paper was layered with Crumb Cake card stock with some vellum in between for a softened look.

The large magnolia was coloured with Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends. This was then die cut and adhered with dimensionals.

The sentiment was taken from the Dandelion Wishes and cut using Stitched So Sweetly dies.

Healing Thoughts

Hello Everyone,

The trees and plants have started to come to life with the recent fair weather, so I created my own colourful garden for today’s project.

No layers or fussy cutting with this one. Just the beautiful Grace’s Garden bundle.

Fours sets of each of the flower images were stamped on to Whisper White card stock with Memento ink.

I used a selection of Stampin’ Blends to colour the images. I was thinking of roses, poppies, hyacinths and forget-me-nots!

The coloured images were die cut and adhered to a card base with dimensionals. Some had a double layer to create extra depth.

I added a healing thoughts sentiment which was cut with a Stitched Rectangle die.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Upline Colour Challenge

Hello Everyone,

There’s nothing like a colour challenge to get the creativity flowing. This week, my upline challenged the team to use these colours!

There are some stamp sets that really lend themselves to these types of challenge. Label Me Bold is one of those sets. With great images and some versatile sentiments this is a great beginner set too.

I have used my usual small card layer formula to make the card.

The white layer was stamped first with Smoky Slate ink, with the hearts added with Rococo Rose.

A vellum label was cut as an “overlay” and some extra texture.

The sentiment was stamped with Basic Grey ink and adhered with mini dimensionals.

I also made an alternative version, mixing up the colours and swapping the label for the Starburst punch.

And here they are side by side…. Which do you prefer?

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

For Violet

Hello Everyone,

This weekend, I received the sad news that a member of our Stampin’ Up! teammates had passed away after being infected with Coronavirus.

Violet was an amazing person, generous and supportive of everyone in the team. She had a great sense of humour too. We will miss her the next time we have a team event.

So this card was made with Violet in mind, I thought the sentiment was perfect.

I used a combination of Highland Heather and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends which worked out really well.

The wings were shaped slightly with a bone folder. To keep the shape, the wings were supported by dimensionals whilst the body was fixed to the card with multipurpose glue.

I used a Stitched So Sweetly die cut as a backdrop. This was adhered with dimensionals.

Highland Heather ink was used for the sentiment, also adhered with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Laurie’s Card

Hello Everyone,

I designed a card last week for a colour challenge that I was really pleased with, so when I realised it was a good friends birthday coming up I knew I wanted to make it again.

The original colours consisted of 2 neutrals to which I added a contrasting bright colour.

For this combo I chose Smoky Slate and Merry Merlot from the neutrals. I opted for Mango Melody as the contrasting colour.

I started by preparing a Smoky Slate card base and cutting Merry Merlot and Whisper White card stock layers.

The sentiment was stamped withe Merry Merlot ink and cut out with a Stitched So Sweetly die. This was adhered to vellum also cut with a die.

Before adhering the layers to the base, Smoky Slate ink was used to stamp the foliage. The layers were adhered together and added to the card with dimensionals.

The sentiment was added next, also with dimensionals.

Finally, the flowers were stamped with Mango Melody ink and punched. The petals were shaped before securing to the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

More Honey Bees

Hello Everyone,

I couldn’t resist making another card with the Honey Bee bundle and Golden Honey DSP.

The card is made in a very similar way to one of my previous posts.

The topper was made by first cutting Crushed Curry card stock with the Stitched So Sweetly dies. A piece of white card stock was cut to size and adhered to the panel.

The sentiment was stamped next with black ink and also cut with a So Sentimental die.

The hive and bees were stamped and die cut with the coordinating dies.

The elements were positioned on the card before committing to adhering them to the card with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Mountain Air

Hello Everyone,

Today’s card features the Mountain Air bundle. I love the samples that pictured in the catalogue and couldn’t wait to try it out.

I also combined it with a Facebook colour challenge.

I stared by stamping the mountains with Sahara Sand ink, followed by the tree line with Cajun Craze ink.

Some Balmy Blue and Sahara Sand inks were were lightly sponged over the top and bottom respectively. This was emphasised by layering the panel on to Whisper White card stock.

Pretty Peacock ink was used to stamp the trees which were cut with the coordinating dies.

The pieces were adhered to a Balmy Blue card base.

A simple sentiment from the Label Me Bold stamp set completed the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Timeless Friendship

Hello Everyone,

Wouldn’t it be nice to be somewhere with palm trees right now? Hopefully warmer weather will be with us soon.

I have used the Timeless Tropical bundle and coordinating Tropical Oasis designer series paper for today’s project.

I picked out this Bird of Paradise design as the background. To this I added panels of Lovely Lipstick and Whisper White card stock.

The sentiment was stamped on to strip of card stock with Pretty Peacock ink and added to the base with dimensionals.

Three sets of palm trees were stamped and die cut. These were added behind the sentiment strip, some flat, and some with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.
