Blended Lace

Hello Everyone,

This week I’m doubling up! Two cards each day with the same or similar products!

Today’s featured products are the Bird Ballad laser cut cards.

Some Very Vanilla card stock was cut to size. Stampin’ Sponges were used to colour the card stock starting in the centre. This card uses Gorgeous Grape and Melon Mambo inks.

The second combo used Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay inks.

The centre colour was used to stamp the sentiment which was cut with the 2″ circle punch. This was adhered to a Starburst punched from the combo colour.

Finally, some Small Blooms were punched, shaped and adhered to the card with multipurpose glue. Champagne rhinestones completed the cards.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Since publishing this post, I made a video for the technique…

Colour Challenge Revisited

Hello Everyone,

You may remember the cards I made for a colour challenge last week. I liked the layout I used, do I switched out the for Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana.

The colours work really well together. What other combinations would you try?

Upline Colour Challenge

Hello Everyone,

There’s nothing like a colour challenge to get the creativity flowing. This week, my upline challenged the team to use these colours!

There are some stamp sets that really lend themselves to these types of challenge. Label Me Bold is one of those sets. With great images and some versatile sentiments this is a great beginner set too.

I have used my usual small card layer formula to make the card.

The white layer was stamped first with Smoky Slate ink, with the hearts added with Rococo Rose.

A vellum label was cut as an “overlay” and some extra texture.

The sentiment was stamped with Basic Grey ink and adhered with mini dimensionals.

I also made an alternative version, mixing up the colours and swapping the label for the Starburst punch.

And here they are side by side…. Which do you prefer?

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Laser Cut Merry Christmas

Hello Everyone,

For today’s card I wanted to use the transparency of the laser cut cards as a feature.

It is not shown in the photos, but I started by adhering a 2 inch punched circle on the inside of the card to hide glue used on the front.

The layers for the topper added as follows;

  • Vellum cut with a Stitched Circle Die,
  • White Flax ribbon,
  • Very Vanilla card stock cut with 2-1/4 inch circle punch,
  • Gold foil card stock cut with the Starburst Punch,
  • Very Vanilla ard stock cut with the Timeless Label punch prestamped with Golden Glitz Delicata ink.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Happy Soul

Hello Everyone,

Today’s card features the Tasteful Textures stamp set. There are some great encouraging sentiments in the set too.

The white card base was stamped using Sahara Sand ink.

For the sentiment topper, I used Lovely Lipstick ink and cut this with a 2 inch punch.

This was adhered to Lovely Lipstick card stock cut with the Starburst Punch and then to a 2-1/4 inch circle of vellum.

Some silver thread was looped and added to the card base before adhering the topper.

Silver Metallic pearls completed the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Bloom with Happiness

Hello Everyone,

I just love this card! It’s the first time I have used Pocketful of Happiness… I think there will be more to come!

The flower and leaf are a single stamp. This was randomly stamped with Highland Heather Ink over a Whisper White card layer.

Some Wink of Stella Glitter was added to the outside edge of each flower.

The edge of the card stock was very gently touched on to the ink pad before adding to a white card base.

The sentiment was stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink and cut with the Starburst Punch. A piece of Gorgeous Grape card stock was punched too and the two were layered together.

For added interest I adhered a Stitched circle cut from vellum to the card first, then added the sentiment with dimensionals.

The final touch were some epoxy drops added to the flower centres.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Inspire.Create #042

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Every other Monday I share my project that I have used as my entry for the Inspire.Create challenge.

This time it’s a theme challenge. The design team have made some wonderful samples as inspiration. You can see them here.

I have used the adorable Little Elephant bundle to make today’s project.

I opted for a gender neutral colour featuring the retiring Gingham Gala designer series paper.

The background panel was embossed with the Seaside folder.

The elephants were stamped with Gray Granite ink. These were cut with the coordinating punch. The ears were cut separately in matching gingham DSP.

The sentiment was stamped on to a strip of card stock and cut with the Everyday Label Punch.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.
