A Friendly Hello #FMS342

Happy Friday!

This week’s sketch from the Freshly Made Design Team offers lots of scope. There is plenty of inspiration on the blog, see it here!

For my design, I started by using the Subtle embossing folder to add texture to a white card layer.

A hint of Balmy Blue ink was sponged along the edges before adding to a Whisper White card base.

A 2-1/2 inch strip of Animal Expedition designer series paper was adhered to the card.

Some Wood Textures designer series paper was cut at 2 inches and then cut down to size. This piece was adhered with dimensionals.

Call Me Clover ink was used to stamp the sentiment on to a strip of white card stock.

Some Copper Metallic thread was looped and secured on to the DSP. The sentiment was then added over the top with dimensionals.

Three Sahara Sand adhesive sequins were added for some extra texture.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Special Day

Good Morning!

Today I am trying out a new colour combination; Merry Merlot, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight.

have used the Stitched All Around bundle.

First of all, the card base was stamped with stitching image. The hinge step technique of the Stamparatus allowed for perfect placement.

The sentiment was stamped with Merry Merlot ink, die cut and adhered to the card.

The circle and heart elements were cut from Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo card stock respectively.

Some yellow artisan pearls were added to pull the colours together on the card.

The Good Things #GDP143

Hi Everyone,

The Global Design Team have given lots of scope with this week’s challenge!

So in honour of the endless inspiration that the new Stampin’ Up! annual catalogue brings, crafters have been encouraged to love it, live it and share it!

My share is this card using All The Good Things. The lovely fishes reminded me of the pond we had when I was growing up. I also really love using texture stamps so I also included Artisan Textures.

I stamped the fishes first on to a Whisper White card layer. Rather than using a single colour, I combined Mango Melody and Poppy Parade. The ink was applied with sponge daubers.

I picked out a sentiment and stamped this with Early Espresso ink.

Once this was in place, I decided to cut down the panel. I did not measure this, but instead lined up the edge of the image with the edge of the blade guide on my trimmer. This was then added to Pool Party card stock to give a 1/8 inch border.

On a Whisper White card base, I used Pool Party and Coastal Cabana ink to add the “watery” texture.

The fishes panel was then added with dimensionals. To add just a bit of being, three Petal Pink adhesive sequins.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Amazing Bokeh

Good Morning Everyone,

Sometimes I have absolutely no idea what I am going to make…. This project was one of those, but I am really pleased with the result.

This stamp set immediately caught my eye in the new annual catalogue so I started with the stamp. After trying a few ink colours, I tried heat embossing the image.

I then decided to use the emboss resist technique to bring out the detail. The colours I picked out were Balmy Blue, Pool Party and Soft Sea Foam. The ink was applied with sponge daubers.

For added interest, I lightly spritzed the card with water, dabbed off the excess and dried with a heat tool.

The panel was adhered to some Basic Gray card stock and then added to a Soft Sea Foam card base.

Rather than stamping a sentiment, I used the Celebrate You thinlits. These were cut from Basic Black and Basic Gray card stock. For some dimension, “you” was cut three times and glued together.

Finally, some pearl white adhesive sequins were added to the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Inspire.Create #020

Good Morning!

The Inspire.Create design team have created some wonderful projects with this card sketch challenge. You can see them all here!

I used the sketch to help with the design of this year’s Father’s Day card.

I chose Blueberry Bushel as the main colour for the design.

I cut and scored a card base in the usual way and then used the Maps Dynamic Textures embossing folder to emboss the front.

A 2 inch strip of Blueberry Bushel DSP was adhered to a 2-1/2 inch piece of Lemon Lime Twist card stock. Night of Navy Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the panel and then adhered to the card base with dimensionals.

I used the Another Wonderful Year stamp set and Blueberry Bushel ink to stamp the sentiment on to a 1/2 inch strip of Whisper White card stock.

Dimensional adhesive was used to secure the sentiment to the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Fill my Cup

Good Morning!

Today’s project uses the Time for Tea stamp set and Tea Room designer series paper.

The card base is Coastal Cabana.

A coordinating piece of DSP was layered on to some Crushed Curry card stock.

The sentiment was stamped with Memento ink at the too of a strip of Whisper White card stock. This was adhered with dimensionals.

The tea cup was stamped and lightly coloured using a Bermuda Bay water colour pencil. Some Wink of Stella added some sparkle. I used one of the coordinating dies to cut out the image. For some added interest, the little leaves were also added and coloured with water colour pencil before adhering to the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Make Me Proud

Hello Everyone,

My absolute favourite colour from the new release has got to be Blackberry Bliss – just love it!

So today’s project is made entirely in this colour – well except the Whisper White to stamp on.

I randomly stamped the leaves using first, second and third generation ink.

Some Nature’s Twine was wrapped around this panel which was then adhered to the card base with dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped and trimmed down to size. The corners were rounded with the Detailed Trio punch.

A tree from the Rooted in Nature stamp set was die cut and added to the card.

To finish the card, I added some faceted dots.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Friday is Freshly Made Sketch day!

This week Narelle has provided this circle inspired sketch. The design team have created some fabulous samples. You can see them all here!

Today I am using the Botanical Bliss stamp set.

The card base is made with Highland Heather card stock which was stamped with the geometric shape in the set using matching ink.

This sentiment strip a cross the centre was first stamped with the leaves using Soft Sea Foam ink. Blackberry Bliss ink was then used for the sentiment itself. This was adhered to the card with dimensionals.

The florals were also stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink. A blender pen was used to pull ink from the outline in the centre and leaves. Wink of Stella clear glitter added some sparkle. These were mounted on to a 1-3/8 scalloped circle with a dimensional.

Soft Sea Foam card stock was punched with the Leaf punch and added to each circle.

A few Soft Sea Foam sequins finished the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Sending Well Wishes

Good Morning,

I couldn’t wait to get this stamp set!

This card I have kept really simple, but have other ideas on how to use this set in the future.

I chose to use the single dandelion as the feature image. This was stamped using Gray Granite ink and trimmed to fit the standard card base. This could have been kept larger for a landscape oriented card.

To keep with the soft look, I decided to use Petal Pink card stock as the base. I used the coordinating ink to add the dandelion seeds for a tone on tone look.

The stamped panel was matted on to Blackberry Bliss card stock and adhered to the card base.

To add some interest, the sentiment was stamped on to a 2 inch circle of white card stock and adhered with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Love & Thanks #GDP142

Good Morning,

The Global Design Project has a sketch challenge this week.

You can see the samples made by the design team here!

I have used Tropical Escapes suite to make my card for the challenge.

I picked out some Designer Series paper which was cut at an angle. I didn’t measure it, just what looked appealing. This was adhered to a white card base.

The opposite side was punched with a 2 inch circle punch and added with dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped with Shaded Spruce ink.

Two leaves were stamped with first and second generation ink and die cut. These were positioned under the sentiment and secured with snail adhesive.

A double bow was tied from silver Baker’s twine and added with a glue dot. Some Mint Macaron faceted dots finished the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

I love this new stamp set and couldn’t wait to make my own dream catcher!

To make the dream catcher I started by stamping the base image with Gray Granite ink and die cutting.

The additional catcher elements and larger feathers were die cut from white card stock. Mint Macaron ink was sponged over these before layering them together with multipurpose glue.

The small feathers were stamped with Balmy Blue ink. These were also die cut and adhered to the centre of the dream catcher.

Finally, the word dream was die cut from Basic Gray card stock. Wink of Stella clear glitter was added over the top and then adhered to the card with multipurpose glue.

The Greatest – Just Add Ink #412

Good Morning,

As ever on a Monday, I am taking part in a challenge. Today it it stage Just Add Ink challenge.

Which two would you choose? The design team have made some great projects as inspiration which you see here.

I went through my stash for all things spotty! I found this designer series paper from the Tropical Escapes collection. I then designed the rest of my card around this.

I made the card base from Blushing Bride card stock.

Soft Seafoam card stock was cut to 3-3/4 by 5 inches. This was used as a mat for the patterned paper.

Some polka dot tulle ribbon was tied around the panel and then adhered to the card base.

For the feature piece I used the coordinating Tropical Chic stamp set and dies.

Several leaves were stamped with first, second and third generation Shaded Spruce ink. These were die cut ready to use.

A square of Soft Seafoam card stock was stamped with the speckles from the Timeless Textures set using Shaded Spruce ink. This was adhered to the card with dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Tropical Chic set was stamped on to white card stock and also added with dimensionals.

The leaves were then arranged on the card and adhered in place with multipurpose glue.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Detailed with Love

Good Morning,

I have created my very own background for today’s card. Ordinarily, this would have been very challenging but using the Stamparatus made it so much easier.

I would recommended practising first.

To begin, the stamp was placed on the left hand edge of the white card stock.

The stamp was picked up on the door of the Stamparatus, inked up with Lovely Lipstick ink and stamped on to the card.

Using the hinge step technique, the stamp was repeated along the card.

The stamp was repositioned to create the next row, and so on until the card was covered.

Some metallic edge ribbon was attached below centre before adhering to a Lovely Lipstick card base.

The feature stamp was inked with Lovely Lipstick and stamped on to Whisper White card stock. This was die cut using the Layering Ovals framelits. These were also used to cut a scalloped layer too.

Once assembled, this was was attached to the card with dimensionals.

A small bow was added to the ribbon to complete the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Artisan Congrats

Good Morning!

Loving the colour combination on this card today. They are all part of the Neutrals colour family! Following the “Colour Revamp” Mossy Meadow has returned, Night of Navy has moved from the Regal colour family and there is the fabulous new Merry Merlot and Gray Granite!

I have used the Artisan Textures stamp set, (love this set) and combined it with the Lined Alphabet set to create my own bold sentiment.

The letters were stamp first with clear Versamark ink and heat embossed with clear powder.

Each of the inks were used to stamp over the top of the embossed letters, then the excess gently wiped away. This added to the grungy effect.

Gray Granite was used to add some extra texture. The panel was trimmed down and mounted on to black card stock.

Some Linen Thread was wrapped around the bottom of the panel before adhering to the card base.

The additional portion of the sentiment was taken from the Itty Bitty Greetings set. This was also stamped in clear Versamark ink on to black card. This was heat embossed with white powder. This was added to the card using dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Big Time

Good Morning Everybody,

I fancied doing some colouring so I pulled out this Animal Outing stamp set.

The rhino was coloured with Smoky Slate and Ivory;

The frog is Rich Razzleberry;

The bird is Pool Party and Bermuda Bay;

Old Olive and Bronze were used for the branch.

The card base was made from Call Me Clover card stock which was cut to 8 by 4 inches, scored at 4 inches.

A 2 inch strip of In Colour DSP was added to the right hand side of the card, then embossed with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textures embossing folder.

Layering Squares framelits were used to make a small frame of card stock which was adhered at an angle with mini dimensionals. Some Wink of Stella glitter pen added some sparkle.

The stamped panel adhered over the top of this.

The cute sentiment was stamped with Call Me Clover ink and cut with a 1-1/4 inch circle punch. This was added to a 1-3/8 scallop circle cut from the same DSP.
