The card base was made from Petal Pink card stock.

A white card layer was embossed with using the new embossing mats for the Big Shot.

To make the topper, white card stock was cut to 3 inches square.

Soft Sea Foam and Granny Apple Green inks were used to stamp the stems.

Petal Pink and Grapefruit Grove inks were used for the flowers.

For a little contrast, the butterfly was stamped with Balmy Blue ink.

This was layered on to Grapefruit Grove and Petal Pink card stock. Some Polka Dot tulle was secured between the card layers.

Balmy Blue ink was used for the sentiment which was cut into a banner.

Perseverance

Good Morning,

I love today’s project! It turned out just as I had hoped. I had seen a short video clip of swimming koi and noticed many of them had large areas of white on them.

I thought about how I could achieve this.

As with my previous card using the smaller fishes; I used the Stamparatus to build the layers.

Using sponge daubers to apply the ink; I started with a little bit of Gray Granite. Added Poppy Parade around the head and tip of the tail, then added some Pumpkin Pie.

I was careful not to add ink to the middle of the body. The final step was inking the whole thing with versamark. This was stamped twice to ensure good coverage and then heat embossed with clear powder.

Pool Party and Soft Sea Foam ink was added around the fish to bring out the “white” parts and the illusion of water. A light spritz with water added to the effect.

The final piece was mounted on to Gray Granite card stock and then a Soft Sea Foam card base.

Ihope you like this as much as I did.

The supplies used are listed below and linked to my 24/7 online store.

Floral Frame Just Add Ink #414

Good Morning Everyone,

I am playing along with the Just Add Ink challenging today.

The design team have provided lots of inspiration, you can see their work here!

I have used floral die cuts to make a frame.

The floral die is from the Abstract Impressions bundle. I used this to die cut Whisper White card stock which had been coloured with sponge daubers.

A 2-1/4 inch circle was punched from some vellum. The sentiment was stamped on this with Gray Granite ink. This was heat embossed with clear powder.

A 2 inch punch was used to cut an aperture in a Whisper White card layer. The vellum circle was then added over the top with a tiny amount of multipurpose glue.

This panel was adhered to a piece of Soft Seam Foam card stock also with an aperture.

Dimensionals were used to add this panel to a Very Vanilla card base.

The floral die cuts were added around the edge of the vellum circle using multipurpose glue.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Happy News

Hello Everyone,

I couldn’t resist using this butterfly from the Abstract Impressions bundle any longer.

I have used Whisper White card stock for the base. Some Garden Impressions designer series paper was added to some Powder Pink card stock and then adhered to the base.

The butterfly was cut twice, once in Soft Sea Foam card stock and again from vellum. The two were adhered together. Some Mint Macaron faceted dots were added to the body.

Some Rose metallic thread was looped on to the card, the butterfly was then added over the top with dimensionals.

A sentiment from the stamp set was stamped with Soft Sea Foam ink. I used one of the flower stamps and So Saffron ink to add some interest. This was then cut using the Tailored Tag Punch and adhered to the card with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to my 24/7 online store below.

A Special Birthday

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to this month’s InspireInk blog hop.

The theme this month is “Milestone Birthday”

I have to say this was a bit tricky, I really miss the Large Numbers for this sort of card.

Instead, I have used the small numbers in the Pick a Pennant stamp set and used it like confetti in the background.

I started with the large Happy Birthday from the One for All set, stamping this with versamark ink and then heat embossed with clear powder.

This was repeated with the little numbers.

The Pick a Pennant stamp set also had some cute stars which I decided to include in the design.

I wanted these to be yellow so I applied some Pineapple Punch over the card using a sponge. Once dry, the stars were added using versamark ink and embossed.

To complete the card, Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay and Highland Heather inks were sponged over the embossing.

Excess ink was removed from the embossing with a barely damp cloth.

For some added interest I spritzer some water over the piece, lifting a little of the ink. Texture was added with the Scattered Sequins embossing folder.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Please click below to continue along the hop. Next up is Angelina!
