The Layering Diorama dies create an aperture and focal point for the mountain scene.

The simple sentiment came from the Art Gallery stamp set.

A slightly different combination of greens were used for this sample!

Floating DSP Technique using Hues of Happiness

Hello Everyone,

I thought I’d give this technique a try today using some scraps from my desk! I’ve seen this a few times, most recently by Jill at Paper Daisy Crafting….

I don’t use a lot of DSP but I saw some amazing samples from Craft with Jayne and bought some. This technique is great for using scraps!

Inspire.Create.Challenges #123 – Sketch Challenge with Dragonfly Garden

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog today sharing with you my design team project for the Inspire.Create.Challenges blog!

I chose to use some ink blending to create the vertical panel.

This colour combo reminds of a sunset on a summer’s evening!

The black layer ties the embossing and sentiment together.

This card takes on a completely different look by using these deeper colours. White embossing would look good too!

Simple Colouring with the Amazing Year Stamp Set

Hello Everyone,

Today’s card project features the Amazing Year stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! 2022 Annual Catalogue.

The main image is perfect for colouring with your favourite medium. I’ve chosen to use Stampin’ Blends.

This combo uses Mossy Meadow, Old Olive and Highland Heather.

I used the Glitter Organdy Ribbon and Iridescent Rhinestones to embellish the card.

This sample uses the 2021 in colours, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Polished Pink.

Creative Colour Challenges #33 feat. Shaded Summer Stamp Set

Hello Everyone,Today’s card is for last week’s Creative Colour Challenge run by Vickie Lou Designs….Find out more and participate HERE

I am working with the Shaded Summer stamp set and coordinating Summer Shadows dies for my project.

This is a variation on yesterday’s Inspire.Create.Challenge design team post!

First, second and third generation stamping was used to create the background.

The Double Oval punch not only cut the sentiment, but also served to introduce the final colour in the combo!

This version uses a Crumb Cake card base. Love this one!

Masked Birthday Card with Blossoms in Bloom

I had no idea how I was going to make these colours work. It certainly helped that there was a Neutral included.

Creative Colour Challenges #3 featuring the Artistically Inked stamp set

This was certainly a challenge and got me thinking hard about what to make. I was pleased with the results!

I used the Artistically Inked stamp set for my project… I really need to use this more often.

Shaded Summer Birthday Card

Hello Everyone,

We are into the last few days of Sale-a-bration so I wanted to use the Summer Shadows dies again.

This time I’m using them alongside the metallic speciality papers and the Encircled in Beauty dies.

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial…..

The coloured embossing worked out so well. It really helped to keep the coordinated look of the original black and gold design.

The different colour ways give the cards a completely different feel!

The black and gold is very striking and the gold shimmer ribbon looks fabulous!

Creating with the Textures and Frames Stamp Set

Hello Everyone,

I’m finally inking up this stamp set today…. You can choose this as a free item during the Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration promotion that runs until 30th September!

This set is right up my street, simple to use background builders are always high on my list to add to my stash! Doesn’t go well with the Biggest Wish set (another favourite of mine).

The sentiment combination was changed around in the two samples to give a different look…

The Subtles are in use with this sample which makes the black sentiment pop. The matte black dots tie the design together…
