Inspire.Create.Challenge #121 – Colour Challenge

Hello Everyone

Welcome to my blog! Today’s post is my design team project for the Inspire.Create.Challenge!

This time we have this amazing colour combination to work with!

You can see the other design team projects and participate in the challenge HERE

I created my card with the Framed Occasions stamp set, accented with the Flowers of Friendship.

There is a coordinating punch for these flowers which makes them a little easier to work with! You can of course fussy cut the flowers if you prefer.

Whilst there is no “green” in this combo, I thought I could get away with using the Pool Party and Bermuda Bay for the foliage. I think it worked out really well with the other colours.

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial…

I’ll confess Pale Papaya isn’t my favourite colour so I kept it as an accent to the sentiment and brought it through in the ribbon and card base.

This sample uses the Pool Party Sheer ribbon and the rhinestones were coloured in Poppy Parade.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Using Punches to Create Pretty Floral Cards

Hello Everyone,

Today’s card is all about punches! They are quick and easy to use and even better, some coordinate with stamps too.

I’m using two different flowers from the Sweet Strawberry and Flowers of Friendship stamp sets.

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial…..

The colour combination is inspired by a recent challenge that I missed out on participating in. It’s so pretty!

The vellum doilies create an interesting backdrop for the layout. They can be coloured to match your project too!

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Ink Stamp Share – September Colour Challenge

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog this afternoon… Today I’m hopping with a whole host of crafters from all over the world.

Please be sure to pay them all a visit and leave some encouraging comments!

How can I resist a colour challenge! The hop this month is challenging creators to use this gorgeous palette!

I decided to work with florals. One of favourite bundles this year is Flowers of Friendship… Perfect for this challenge.

The subtle Petal Pink and Soft Sea Foam provided a soft back drop to the deeper colours I used as the focal point of the card.

Wink of Stella glitter and basic rhinestones add some sparkle too.

This was my original sample as another idea of how these colours can be used together.

Making Stunning Cards with the Encircled In Beauty Dies

Hello Everyone,

Wow, wow, wow! Did you spot these dies in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue?

I can see all sorts of possibilities with these dies so keep your eyes peeled for more ideas with these dies!

The bright card stock emphasises the intricacy of the design.

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial….

Adding some ink to the aperture provides some contrast with the centre circle.

The Flowers & Leaves and Sprig punches were used to create the decorative elements. The pastel pearls were the perfect finishing touch.

I hope you enjoyed this project.
