Love & Happiness

Hello Everyone,

Today’s project is a wedding card! The couple didn’t have an official colour scheme si I picked out this pretty Magnolia Lane designer series paper.

The paper was layered with Crumb Cake card stock with some vellum in between for a softened look.

The large magnolia was coloured with Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends. This was then die cut and adhered with dimensionals.

The sentiment was taken from the Dandelion Wishes and cut using Stitched So Sweetly dies.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

For Violet

Hello Everyone,

This weekend, I received the sad news that a member of our Stampin’ Up! teammates had passed away after being infected with Coronavirus.

Violet was an amazing person, generous and supportive of everyone in the team. She had a great sense of humour too. We will miss her the next time we have a team event.

So this card was made with Violet in mind, I thought the sentiment was perfect.

I used a combination of Highland Heather and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends which worked out really well.

The wings were shaped slightly with a bone folder. To keep the shape, the wings were supported by dimensionals whilst the body was fixed to the card with multipurpose glue.

I used a Stitched So Sweetly die cut as a backdrop. This was adhered with dimensionals.

Highland Heather ink was used for the sentiment, also adhered with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Laurie’s Card

Hello Everyone,

I designed a card last week for a colour challenge that I was really pleased with, so when I realised it was a good friends birthday coming up I knew I wanted to make it again.

The original colours consisted of 2 neutrals to which I added a contrasting bright colour.

For this combo I chose Smoky Slate and Merry Merlot from the neutrals. I opted for Mango Melody as the contrasting colour.

I started by preparing a Smoky Slate card base and cutting Merry Merlot and Whisper White card stock layers.

The sentiment was stamped withe Merry Merlot ink and cut out with a Stitched So Sweetly die. This was adhered to vellum also cut with a die.

Before adhering the layers to the base, Smoky Slate ink was used to stamp the foliage. The layers were adhered together and added to the card with dimensionals.

The sentiment was added next, also with dimensionals.

Finally, the flowers were stamped with Mango Melody ink and punched. The petals were shaped before securing to the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

More Honey Bees

Hello Everyone,

I couldn’t resist making another card with the Honey Bee bundle and Golden Honey DSP.

The card is made in a very similar way to one of my previous posts.

The topper was made by first cutting Crushed Curry card stock with the Stitched So Sweetly dies. A piece of white card stock was cut to size and adhered to the panel.

The sentiment was stamped next with black ink and also cut with a So Sentimental die.

The hive and bees were stamped and die cut with the coordinating dies.

The elements were positioned on the card before committing to adhering them to the card with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Inspire.Create #064

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing a project that I have used as my entry for the Inspire.Create challenge.

This time it’s a colour challenge. The design team have made some wonderful samples as inspiration. You can see them here.

And this is what I created!

My choice of colour was Lovely Lipstick. I thought this would add some contrast to the otherwise neutral pallette.

The base card was prepared using Crumb Cake card stock. Layers of Night of Navy and White were cut with Stitched Rectangle dies.

I picked a bold sentiment from the So Sentimental stamp set. This was cut with the coordinating die. Before sticking this down, I first added foliage images from the Pop of Petals stamp set and Crumb Cake ink.

Three flowers were stamped with Lovely Lipstick ink and cut with the coordinating punch.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

The design combines the So Sentimental bundle and Sale-a-bration items.

A Gray Granite card base was prepared and layered with white card stock.

Night of Navy ink was used to stamp the sentiment which was die cut and adhered with dimensionals.

Flower centres were stamped in Daffodil Delight and Grapefruit Grove inks. The punch was used to cut the flowers to give white petals.

Before adhering, a few leaves were added first using Old Olive. The blooms were shaped and added with multipurpose glue.

Lily Pad Thank You

Hello Everyone,

On first glance, the Lily Impressions designer series paper looks a bit crazy with so many bold colours…. But look how great this card looks!

DSP was adhered to a white card base.

Rich Razzleberry ink was used to stamp the sentiment and water lily images. These were cut with the Stitched So Sweetly and Lily Pad dies. An additional die cut was cut from Rich Razzleberry card stock.

The sentiment was adhered first with dimensionals.

The water lily was coloured by pulling ink from the outline image with a Wink of Stella glitter brush. The die cut outline was adhered over the top and then added to the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Pootlers Blog Hop – Heartfelt

Hello Everyone,

Here we are blog hopping again with the Pootlers Team! The theme is the new Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-bration!

There is a blue box at the end of this post with a link to all the other featured projects. There are so many entries that the links cover two pages! Please take a look, like and subscribe!

I have chosen to work with the Heartfelt bundle to make this layered card.

The card base is made with Real Red card stock. Layers of Whisper White and Flirty Flamingo card stock were adhered with Snail adhesive.

The next layer was cut with the largest rectangular die from the Stitched So Sweetly set. Two vellum hearts were attached toward the top and bottom of the die cut. This was then adhered with dimensionals.

The heart punches were used to cut Real Red and Whisper White card stock.

Two red hearts were sandwiched together with dimensionals.

A sentiment was stamped on to the white heart with Flirty Flamingo ink and added to the others.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

CAS Colours and Sketches #352

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing my project for the CAS Colours and Sketches challenge.

This time it’s a colour challenge. The design team have made some wonderful samples as inspiration. You can see them here.

And this is what I created!

The card features the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set and coordinating Small Bloom Punch available during Sale-a-bration.

To make the card I used Bermuda Bay and Petal Pink inks to create the background. This was layered on to So Saffron card stock and then to a Bermuda Bay card base with dimensionals.

Blooms were stamped with So Saffron ink and punched out. Each was shaped with a ball stylus and adhered to the card. A clear Epoxy dot was added to the centres.

The sentiment was die cut with the smallest shape from the Stitched So Sweetly set.

A Petal Pink bow completed the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.
