Coloured Blooms

Hello Everyone,

This week I’m doubling up! Two cards each day with the same or similar products!

Today I am using the Pocketful of Happiness stamp set. This is also reduced at the moment making it a real bargain too!

This card was stamped with Memento ink and coloured using Stampin’ Blends.

The flowers feature over the base layer, softened with vellum.

Additional flowers were also fussy cut and adhered around the sentiment.

For card number 2, the flowers were stamped over the card layer with Stazon ink and coloured with watercolour pencils.

The panel was layered with black card stock and added to a white card base with dimensionals.

The same sentiment was stamped and cut with the Pretty Label Punch.

So which do you prefer? The vibrancy of markers or softness of watercolour pencils? It’s hard for me to choose!

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Birthday Bugs

Hello Everyone,

So this card turned out way better than I imagined it would!

The card features the retiring stamp set Wiggle Worm.

The little bugs were stamped with Memento ink so they could be coloured with Stampin’ Blends.

I used Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight markers working from dark to light.

The body was coloured with Smoky Slate markers, with the dark marker used for the mouth.

Each was die cut and added to a layered card base in coordinating colours.

A sentiment was added with plain black ink and cut with the Label Me Fancy punch.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Healing Thoughts

Hello Everyone,

The trees and plants have started to come to life with the recent fair weather, so I created my own colourful garden for today’s project.

No layers or fussy cutting with this one. Just the beautiful Grace’s Garden bundle.

Fours sets of each of the flower images were stamped on to Whisper White card stock with Memento ink.

I used a selection of Stampin’ Blends to colour the images. I was thinking of roses, poppies, hyacinths and forget-me-nots!

The coloured images were die cut and adhered to a card base with dimensionals. Some had a double layer to create extra depth.

I added a healing thoughts sentiment which was cut with a Stitched Rectangle die.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

For Violet

Hello Everyone,

This weekend, I received the sad news that a member of our Stampin’ Up! teammates had passed away after being infected with Coronavirus.

Violet was an amazing person, generous and supportive of everyone in the team. She had a great sense of humour too. We will miss her the next time we have a team event.

So this card was made with Violet in mind, I thought the sentiment was perfect.

I used a combination of Highland Heather and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends which worked out really well.

The wings were shaped slightly with a bone folder. To keep the shape, the wings were supported by dimensionals whilst the body was fixed to the card with multipurpose glue.

I used a Stitched So Sweetly die cut as a backdrop. This was adhered with dimensionals.

Highland Heather ink was used for the sentiment, also adhered with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

From the Bottom of my Heart

Hello Everyone,

Lots of colouring of one sort or another going on in today’s card.

I began by preparing the background panel.

I used my grid paper to line up some post it note masks so I could add ink to this portion. I did this with a sponge and Highland Heather ink.

Leaving the post it notes in place, I secured a pattern mask over the top and added more Highland Heather ink. I then added versamark to the inked section, peeled away the post it notes and embossed with clear powder.

The florals are from the Bloom and Grow set. These were stamped three times with Memento ink and coloured with Stampin’ Blends Markers.

The coloured images were die cut and then manually cut apart to create the large spray of flowers. I used a mix of dimensionals and liquid glue to add texture.

Finally, the sentiment was stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink and cut with the Timeless Label punch and Wink of Stella Glitter was added to the larger flowers.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Time for Tags!

Hello Everyone,

Something a bit different today with these cute tags.

The stamp set is only available on orders over £150 – club together with friends or just treat yourself!

Each image was stamped with Memento Ink so that I could use my Stampin’ Blends Markers to colour them in.

Three markers were used for most sections – I didn’t necessarily stick to the same colour – for the red in the balloon I used dark Cherry Cobbler, light Real Red and light Poppy Parade.

Try out the colours on scrap card first to see if they work.

The images were cut with the matching punch.

I cut strips of Whisper White card stock 1-1/2 by 3-1/2 inches and 2 by 4-1/4 inches. The strips were cut with the tag Topper punch. The largest tag was sponged with Pool Party Ink.

White Flax ribbon was looped through the top of the tags with the coloured images added with dimensionals.

Free as a Bird Thank You card

Hello Everyone,

So I admit it…. I have been avoiding using this set. At launch there were so many lovely things being made with this set, but now I want to share a card with you.

It’s nothing fancy but like how it turned out.

I started with main image which I stamped with Memento Ink and coloured with Stampin’ Blends. I used a reference image to make my birds in to bluetits.

I die cut the image with a Nested Die and also cut the small thank you sentiment.

Leaves were stamped and coloured on a card layer before adhering the birds with dimensionals.

Birthday Sails

Hello Everyone,

I hope you has a great weekend!

Today’s project features the Lilypad Lake stamp set with a sentiment from Well Said.

I wanted a soft colour palette so I stamped the outline of the boats with Basic Grey ink. The sails were coloured with Stampin Blends markers.

Pool Party ink was used to stamp the ‘water’ on to a card layer.

The sentiment was stamped and die cut and adhered to the card first, followed by the boats, using dimensionals.

In My Thoughts

Hello Everyone,

I really love the simplicity of this faceted heart. Last time I used it, I “coloured” the heart with the accompanying brushstroke image. This time I wanted to colour the image with my Stampin’ Blends.

I opted for a Pool Party colour theme, stamping the image with with Classic ink first.

I then coloured each section with my Markers, deciding where peaks and troughs would be.

I had to add some Wink of Stella for some extra bling.

The sentiment was added below the heart.

The panel was die cut with a Stitched Rectangle die. A larger rectangle was cut from Pool Party card stock.

The layers were finally adhered to a Whisper White card base.

Best of Friends

Hello Everyone,

Using Designer Series Paper is a fast way to make impactful cards.

The Bird Ballad collection needs little by way of embellishments.

I added a sentiment which had been heat embossed with white powder on black card stock.

For some extra interest, I stamped flowers and coloured them with Stampin’ Blends. The colour lifter helped achieve a soft blend.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.
