InspireINK Blog Hop – Keeping it Simple!

Good Morning Everybody,

Welcome to this month’s InspireINK blog hop. This time we all “keeping it simple”!

I have chosen to work with the Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper. This is one of the fabulous papers you can earn during Sale-a-bration! This coordinates with the Hand Penned Petals Suite in the Annual Catalogue too!

I put this with the Biggest Wish stamp set which is great versatile set for beginner cardmakers!

You can see how I made these cards in my video tutorial….

I picked out three different ribbons to compliment the cards. Of course you don’t NEED to use all three, but this shows you some options. I kept it simple by tying knots rather than bows.

Whilst the black and white, monochromatic look suits the paper, just look what happens when you introduce a coloured card base!

This is Melon Mambo….

And these are Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green. All are in the Brights colour family.

The flowers are layered with vellum and Gray Granite card stock.

The sequins are added to the card with multipurpose glue and the Take Your Pick tool.

I have pulled out a brand new set to preview with you all for this project. This set with be available from 3rd August 2021 and is called Gorgeous Leaves.

I chose to work with Cinnamon Cider ink for an autumnal look. This could easily have been any number of colours.

Texture stamps are always useful. Here I have reused the stamp without relinking to create even more texture and depth.

Triple Panel Card with Dragonfly Garden

Hello Everyone,

I’ve tried a different layout for today’s card, what do you think?

I’m really thrilled with the colour combination too, using the 2020 in colours which I absolutely love!

A touch of Wink of Stella on the dragonfly and some clear Elegant Faceted Gems add some twinkle for the recipient.

For this sample, I made the card base from Night of Navy card stock and stamped with Bumblebee and Just Jade inks!

Bold Die Cut Poppies

Hello Everyone,

So how many of you have supplies you’ve never used?

These dies have been on my shelf for the longest time, so I thought I’d get them out to make this card!

I’ve stuck with traditional reds for my poppies, but they can come in all sorts of other colours too!

This combo is Poppy Parade and Real Red.

I also used an alternative embossing folder and added some Soft Sea Foam ink over the top.

Today’s cards have a super simple layout that can be used either in portrait or landscape orientation.

The Butterfly Brilliance bundle is suitable for so many occasions, mix it with your favourite sentiments stamp sets to achieve the look you want.

InspireINK July Blog Hop – Colour Challenge!

Good Morning Everybody,

Welcome to this month’s InspireINK blog hop. This time we are all creating projects using these delicious colours!

My project features the In Symmetry stamp set. This is a great set for beginner stampers too!

I’ve added some jaunty layers behind the topper using a vellum doily and a scrap of Sweet Symmetry designer series paper.

The vellum doilies can be coloured very effectively with Stampin’ Blends markers to coordinate with the project!
