Happiest of Birthdays #GDP121

Its another colour challenge over at the Global Design Project this week. You can see what the Design Team created with this fun combo here!

Here is my project. I have used Tutti-Frutti designer series paper and the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set.

Bermuda Bay ink was used to stamp the candles. I have used both first and second generation ink to create the stripes.

Peekaboo Peach ink was used for the flames. The ink was partially stamped off so the tip of the flame is paler.

Finally, the sentiment uses Sweet Sugarplum ink.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

The sentiment in the set was stamped and cut with the Classic Label punch.

Inspire. Create. Challenge #009

Hi Everyone,

I am joining the Inspire. Create. Challenge again this week. The them is…. Love! You can see what the design team made here!

I have used Heart Happiness and Petal Palette stamp sets from the Spring Summer catalogue.

I started with the sentiment. This was stamped with Calypso Coral ink and die cut with the coordinating die.

Before adhering this down, I decided where the ribbon would lie and then stamped hearts with second generation ink.

The sentiment and ribbon were secured in place. A bow was also added to the ribbon.

An additional heart was stamped and die cut. This was adhered with dimensionals.

As a finishing touch, some basic pearls were coloured with a Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend marker.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Thanks for stopping by and happy Stampin’!

Lidded Treat Box

Good Morning,

I made this box to hold nine Ferrero or Lindor chocolates.

The card stock used measures 10-1/4 inches square. The base is made with Powder Pink card, whilst the lid is Berry Burst.

Score the base at 1-1/2 and 3 inches.

The lid is scored at the same measurements, but using a shim of card stock along the left hand side bar. This will ensure the lid will fit over the base.

Three flowers from the Beautiful Day stamp set were added to the lid using matching ink.

To cut the tabs, remove the three outer squares. Notch out the lose edges.

Fast Fuse was added to the outside of the small tabs. The corners were folded up. The side panels were then folded in and secured with Fast Fuse.

On the lid, the 1/2 inch circle punch was used to make finger notches.

Berry Burst metallic edge ribbon was added to the lid of the box and secured with glue dots.

The flower on top was coloured with Stampin’ Blend markers and adhered using dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Monochrome Wishes

Hi Folks,

When you don’t know what colour to use… Why not try a monochrome look.

This was partly inspired by the Petal Passion DSP which I have used on the background.

The sentiment is taken from a Sale-a-bration set, Happy Wishes. You may choose this with a qualifying order. Check out Sale-a-bration offers here!

I used an old favourite floral set, Falling Flowers and it’s coordinating dies to decorate the top corner of the card.

The flowers were shaped with a stylus and adhered with glue dots. The centers were adorned with Rhinestone jewels. These are self adhesive and so easy to use if you like a bit of extra bling.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Fabulous You

Hello Crafting Friends,

There is a super cute present bow image in this stamp set. So I made a faux present as a card topper.

The bow was stamped with second generation Bermuda Bay ink three times. These were cut out and layered decoupage style with mini dimensionals.

A 2 inch square if card stock was stamped all over with a confetti image using Lemon Lime Twist ink. This was then ‘wrapped’ with Sale-a-bration shimmer ribbon.

This was mounted on to white card stock, with a stamped sentiment. This was layered on to Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point card stock.

The white card base was stamped all over with the same confetti image before adding the topper.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Now is a great time to join my team. Find out more about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator here.

Two of You Together #GDP120

This week the Global Design Project has a Case the Designer challenge. This was created by Krista Frattin. You can see what the design team created here.

And this is what I have created:

The background on the original uses DSP, which I have also pulled in to my design. This paper is black and white, but I coloured the flowers with Stampin’ Blends.

The centrepiece uses the pretty florals from the Petal Palette stamp set. The images were stamped with Memento ink and coloured with Blends.

Coordinating dies were used to cut the images. One was adhered flat whilst the other was raised on dimensionals.

A piece of ribbon was added along the bottom, also inspired by the example card.

A pair of little birds were stamped, coloured and die cut. The were added to the flowers.

The example uses the Everyday Label punch to mount the sentiment. I have used this to cut my chosen sentiment from Whisper White card stock. A second label was cut from Pink Pirouette card stock.

Some silver bakers twine was looped underneath the label which is also visible on the original design.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Bubble Over

Hi Everyone,

Today I am using products from Bubble Over suite, including a Sale-a-bration DSP.

I prepared a card base using Garden Green card stock and adhered this fun DSP to the front.

The bottles have been die cut from the paper too. Alternatively, these could be cut with scissors.

Straws were die cut from Whisper White card stock. Some multipurpose liquid glue was used to secure these to the back of each bottle.

I adhered the smaller bottles first, then added larger ones in the middle with dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Garden Green ink onto Lemon Lime Twist card stock. The ends were cut with the Everyday Label punch.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Lots of Lavender

Hi Everyone,

Lots of Lavender is a beautiful new set that is available during Sale-a-bration with a qualifying order.

The lavender image was stamped with black Memento ink. The set includes stamps that can be used to “colour” the main image. I used Perfect Plum, Pear Pizzazz and Crushed Curry. All were stamped off once for a more subtle effect.

The panel was added to Pear Pizzazz card stock and then on to a Wisteria Wonder card base with dimensionals.

There are no sentiments in the set, so I used Sunshine Sayings and Garden Green ink.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Lots to Love Box

Good Morning!

The Spring Summer catalogue is full of great new product suites. Today I am featuring the stamp set and die bundle from the Painted with Love suite.

The large box die was cut twice from coloured card stock.

One panel was stamped with the heart wreath image. The centre was cut with the coordinating die.

Window sheet was adhered behind the aperture before assembling the box. You will see in the accompanying video, I forgot this step!

A 2 inch strip of vellum was bent around the box and gently creased. The join was kept to the front so that it could be covered by the embellishments.

With the vellum in place, the heart, (from the aperture), was adhered with dimensionals.

The sentiment banner was stamped on to a scrap of coloured card stock and die cut. This was added across the front of the box.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Now is a great time to join. Contact me to find out more.

Always Thinking of You

Hi Everyone,

This beautiful butterfly is the star of the show on this card.

The image was stamped on to Whisper White card stock with Memento ink and allowed to dry completely.

I used Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers to colour the image. Markers are available as a complete set, (12 plus bronze, ivory and a colour lifter), as a combo set, ( light and dark shades of a particular colour), or individually, allowing you to collect markers to suit your crafting.

Each section of the image was coloured separately.

The colours used were Light Pool Party, Dark Pool Party and Light Bermuda Bay. Each colour was blended into the previous creating a soft gradient of shading.

The layer was adhered to a Pool Party card base.

The sentiment is also from the set. This was stamped in black and added to the card using mini dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

The colouring was done with watercolour pencils and blender pens.

The sentiment was stamped separately, cut down to size and added to the topper.

Love Always

Good Morning,

I thought I would create a background for today’s project.

I have used Heart Happiness, a new photopolymer stamp set available in the Stampin’ Up! Spring Summer catalogue from 3rd January 2018.

I have used Powder Pink ink and card stock to make the card base.

One of the larger hearts was stamped in Flirty Flamingo and die cut with coordinating framelits.

There are no sentiments in the set so I used Sunshine Sayings instead.

I opted not to add any extra elements, keeping the card very simple.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.
