To Think of You – Just Add Ink #406

Hi there Everybody,

I am taking part in the Just Add Ink challenge today.

This week is a sketch challenge. The design team have made some stunning samples. You can see them here!

I went all in and made six cards in different colour ways;

Marina Mist, Always Artichoke, Perfect Plum, Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise and Elegant Eggplant.

To make each circular topper, I stamped the sentiment and beaded circle from the Eastern Beauty stamp set. This was cut with a 2-1/4 inch punch.

Each card base was stamped with coordinating ink using the larger circle stamp from the set.

Black and White striped paper from the Tutti-Frutti DSP stack was cut in to 1-1/2 inch strips and then adhered at an angle.

The sentiment topper was added to the card base with dimensionals. A few black rhinestones finished the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Tutti Frutti Duo

Hi Everyone,

For today’s projects, I am using some of the retiring DSP and card stock.

Both feature the not so Tutti-Frutti side of these papers.

The first card is made with Sweet Sugarplum card stock layered with Island Indigo.

For the second version, I have used Island Indigo card stock, layered with Peekaboo Peach.

Both cards have greetings from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set. These were stamped with Island Indigo ink and cut using the Everyday Label punch.

Additional labels were cut from DSP and card stock. These were used as layers behind the sentiment.

Some organza ribbon was looped on to the card before adhering the topper with dimensionals. A few pearls complete the projects.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below. I would love to be your demonstrator.

A Marriage Made in Heaven

Good Morning!

Welcome to April’s InspirInk blog hop. This month Hannah chose the theme….

Weddings!

Now wedding cards are not something I make a lot of, so this one got me thinking!

I chose a sentiment first and after rummaging in my stash for something pretty, I found my Rose Wonder stamp set and dies.

Generally speaking, I try to use just one stamp set for my projects, so I planned my overall design with Rose Wonder.

It was all too tempting to use the large rose image, but I liked the small flower in the set too.

After a bit of playing about with the different elements I decided on this design. Love it!

The card base was cut and scored in the usual way with a white card layer adhered to this.

Additional coloured and white card stock layers were cut smaller still and put to one side.

On the white piece, I stamped the greeting with clear versamark ink and heat embossed with silver powder. For extra emphasis, I also stamped the heart outline from the More Than Chocolate set.

Three flowers were stamped on to the card in coordinating ink.

Three flowers and two sets of leaves were die cut. To help adhere the flowers, I punched out 1/2 inch circles in matching card. This allowed me to use a dimensional behind each of the flowers.

The white layer was added to the coloured card stock and then adhered to the preprepared card base with dimensionals.

Some extra details were added to the flowers centres using multipurpose glue. Three basic pearls completed the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

My World is Brighter

Hello Everyone,

I am using the Paisleys and Posies stamps and coordinating dies for today’s project.

I have chosen a neutral colour combination of Sahara Sand, Soft Sky and Crumb Cake.

The card base was built using Sahara Sand card stock and adding layers of Soft Sky and Crumb Cake card stock.

The Crumb Cake was stamped with the large dotted outline first.

The make the topper, I stamped and die cut three of the shapes from the stamp set.

The sentiment was stamped with Early Espresso ink on to Very Vanilla card stock. The sentiment and Paisley shapes were arranged on to some Soft Sky card stock.

Some extra details were added to break up the empty space using Soft Sky ink and rhinestones.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below. I would love to be your demonstrator!

Sunny Day #GDP135

Good Morning!

The Global Design Project design team are helping us all get ready for Summer with some beautiful bright projects.

This is the theme for this week’s challenge. See the inspiration here!

Here is my entry for this week;

I love this card!

To make the card base I stamped the sunshine image from the Sunshine and Rainbows using first and second generation Daffodil Delight ink.

Some striped DSP from the Tutti-Frutti pack were added down the centre of the card.

The sunglasses from Pocketful of Sunshine stamp set were stamped on to scraps of each of the 2016-2018 In Colour card stocks. To get an even solid black image I used my Stamparatus tool. This allowed me to stamp each image three times.

The images were fussy cut and adhered to the card using dimensionals.

The cute little sentiment from Sunshine and Rainbows was stamped with black ink and cut with the 1-1/8 scalloped circle punch.

The “sunshine” was created by punching a Daisy from So Saffron card stock. This was then cut again using the 1-3/4 inch circle punch. This was added to the card using doubled up dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Lost Without You

Hello there,

The colour inspiration for today’s card came from this bright designer series paper from the Pick a Pattern collection.

All of the supplies used today are due to retire at the end of May. You can see all the retiring products here. Don’t miss out – once they are gone, they are gone!

To make this card, I used Pink Pirouette card stock to make the base. The DSP was then added to this.

The topper was made with Pink Pirouette card stock measuring 3-1/4 inches by 5 inches.

A piece was Whisper White was cut 1/8 inch shorter and narrower. This was used to stamp on.

I have used the Blooms & Wishes stamp set. The sentiment was stamped first with black memento ink.

The flowers were added using. Flirty Flamingo, Pink Pirouette, Crushed Curry and Emerald Envy inks. First, second and third generation stamping created a softer effect using such bright and beautiful colours.

This was adhered to the Pink Pirouette card stock and then to the card with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Smooshed Heart

Good Morning,

I am trying something new today… Ink smooshing!

I prepared a card blank using Rose Red card stock.

On some watercolour paper, I stamped the striped heart from the Heart Happiness stamp set using clear Versamark ink. This was heat embossed with clear powder.

Once cool, I smooshed Rose Red ink over the top. To do this, ink was applied to a piece of plastic which was then swiped and dabbed over the project.

While this dried, I die cut hearts from black card stock and vellum. A Tailored Tag was cut from Rose Red card stock.

Some black metallic thread was adhered to the card first. The other elements were then added over the top.

The greeting is from the Window Shopping set. This was stamped with Rose Red ink and adhered with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.
