Peacock Duo

Hello Everyone,

This week I’m doubling up! Two cards each day with the same or similar products!

Today, it’s the Royal Peacock stamp set and matching dies with Call Me Clover and Blueberry Bushel retiring In Colours.

For the first card, the peacock was stamped with the assistance of the Stamparatus, first with Blueberry Bushel for the head and body and Call Me Clover for the tail.

The details were heat embossed with copper powder, (also retiring), and then die cut.

Some additional feathers were die cut to embellish the sentiment. This was stamped with Blueberry Bushel ink and cut with the Stitched So Sweetly dies.

The second card is completely different!

Four large feathers were die cut from Blueberry Bushel card stock and adhered together to form an oval-ish shape.

Stitched Square dies were used to cut the green frame and the stamped sentiment.

A few rhinestones added some extra interest to the background.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

With Deepest Sympathy

Hello Everyone,

It is a sad reality that not all the cards we make and send are for happy events. There is comfort however, that even at these sad times, a beautiful handmade card can be created.

I used a simple layout, starting by stamping a Whisper White card panel with an image from the Verdant Garden stamp set and Smoky Slate ink.

The panel was layered with Basic Grey card stock and some Polka Dot Tulle was wrapped around the middle. This was adhered to a white card base with dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments set and was stamped with Smoky Slate ink. This was then die cut and also added to the card with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Blue Tiles

Hello Everyone,

Photopolymer stamp sets are so easy to use, especially when lining up images like this.

Here I have used the Verdant Garden stamp set to create this tile effect.

Again, j am using up some remaining Blueberry Bushel card stock for the card base.

Balmy Blue ink was used first, stamping the image across a white layer. Blueberry Bushel ink was used fill in the gaps with the compliment image from the set.

Polka Dot Tulle, (not retiring!), was added around the layer before adhering it to the card base.

The sentiment was taken from the Honey Bee stamp set and cut with the smallest Stitched So Sweetly die, (also staying!).

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Birthday Bugs

Hello Everyone,

So this card turned out way better than I imagined it would!

The card features the retiring stamp set Wiggle Worm.

The little bugs were stamped with Memento ink so they could be coloured with Stampin’ Blends.

I used Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight markers working from dark to light.

The body was coloured with Smoky Slate markers, with the dark marker used for the mouth.

Each was die cut and added to a layered card base in coordinating colours.

A sentiment was added with plain black ink and cut with the Label Me Fancy punch.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Lovely Lipstick Friendship Card

Hello Everyone,

Have you checked out the Last Chance products yet?

The new annual catalogue launches next month which means making room in the warehouse and retiring some products.

There are a few things to consider when looking at the list;

1. Bundles will retire, but may still be available as individual items in the new catalogue.

2. 2018 In Colours and anything with those colours included, (DSP, ribbon, embellishments etc.) will retire…. But don’t worry new colours are on the way!

3. Individual Stampin’ Blends markers will no longer be available.

You can view the retiring products here

So this card uses retiring items, Lovely Lipstick ink and card stock, Best Dressed DSP and the Honey Bee stamp set.

The DSP panel measures 2 by 5 inches and was adhered to Lovely Lipstick card stock cut 1/8 inch larger on both sides.

I adhered this panel to a preprepared card base with dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Honey Bee stamp set was stamped with Lovely Lipstick ink and cut with the Stitched So Sweetly dies…. Thankfully these dies are staying, I use them so much!

A scattering of clear rhinestone jewels finished off the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Feel Good Wishes

Hello Everyone,

The Positive Thoughts stamp set is easily overlooked but I think it makes some incredibly lovely yet simple cards.

I cut the card layer a quarter inch smaller than usual and adhered this to a Rococo Rose card base.

Leaves were stamped with Soft Seafoam ink, with an additional image die cut and layered over the top.

The beautiful sentiment was added using Blackberry Bliss.

Some Champagne rhinestones completed the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

You Are…..

Hello Everyone,

This has to be my favourite stamp set in the annual catalogue. I love the versatility it offers for so many occasions.

Today, I chose bright colours to brighten the day during the lockdown.

I stamped the leaves first. I used my Stamparatus to layer the inks, applying them to the stamp with a sponge dauber. I started with Bermuda Bay, wiped the stamp clean, then added Granny Apple Green. Each leaf was die cut ready to add to the card later.

A simple background was stamped on to a Whisper White card panel with Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo inks. This was secured to a Melon Mambo card base with snail adhesive.

The sentiment was stamped separately and cut with the Timeless Label punch. This and the die cut leaves were added with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Love & Happiness

Hello Everyone,

Today’s project is a wedding card! The couple didn’t have an official colour scheme si I picked out this pretty Magnolia Lane designer series paper.

The paper was layered with Crumb Cake card stock with some vellum in between for a softened look.

The large magnolia was coloured with Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends. This was then die cut and adhered with dimensionals.

The sentiment was taken from the Dandelion Wishes and cut using Stitched So Sweetly dies.

Healing Thoughts

Hello Everyone,

The trees and plants have started to come to life with the recent fair weather, so I created my own colourful garden for today’s project.

No layers or fussy cutting with this one. Just the beautiful Grace’s Garden bundle.

Fours sets of each of the flower images were stamped on to Whisper White card stock with Memento ink.

I used a selection of Stampin’ Blends to colour the images. I was thinking of roses, poppies, hyacinths and forget-me-nots!

The coloured images were die cut and adhered to a card base with dimensionals. Some had a double layer to create extra depth.

I added a healing thoughts sentiment which was cut with a Stitched Rectangle die.

More Honey Bees

Hello Everyone,

I couldn’t resist making another card with the Honey Bee bundle and Golden Honey DSP.

The card is made in a very similar way to one of my previous posts.

The topper was made by first cutting Crushed Curry card stock with the Stitched So Sweetly dies. A piece of white card stock was cut to size and adhered to the panel.

The sentiment was stamped next with black ink and also cut with a So Sentimental die.

The hive and bees were stamped and die cut with the coordinating dies.

The elements were positioned on the card before committing to adhering them to the card with dimensionals.

Mountain Air

Hello Everyone,

Today’s card features the Mountain Air bundle. I love the samples that pictured in the catalogue and couldn’t wait to try it out.

I also combined it with a Facebook colour challenge.

I stared by stamping the mountains with Sahara Sand ink, followed by the tree line with Cajun Craze ink.

Some Balmy Blue and Sahara Sand inks were were lightly sponged over the top and bottom respectively. This was emphasised by layering the panel on to Whisper White card stock.

Pretty Peacock ink was used to stamp the trees which were cut with the coordinating dies.

The pieces were adhered to a Balmy Blue card base.

A simple sentiment from the Label Me Bold stamp set completed the card.

Hello Everyone,

Wouldn’t it be nice to be somewhere with palm trees right now? Hopefully warmer weather will be with us soon.

I have used the Timeless Tropical bundle and coordinating Tropical Oasis designer series paper for today’s project.

I picked out this Bird of Paradise design as the background. To this I added panels of Lovely Lipstick and Whisper White card stock.

The sentiment was stamped on to strip of card stock with Pretty Peacock ink and added to the base with dimensionals.

Three sets of palm trees were stamped and die cut. These were added behind the sentiment strip, some flat, and some with dimensionals.

Inspire.Create #064

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing a project that I have used as my entry for the Inspire.Create challenge.

This time it’s a colour challenge. The design team have made some wonderful samples as inspiration. You can see them here.

And this is what I created!

My choice of colour was Lovely Lipstick. I thought this would add some contrast to the otherwise neutral pallette.

The base card was prepared using Crumb Cake card stock. Layers of Night of Navy and White were cut with Stitched Rectangle dies.

I picked a bold sentiment from the So Sentimental stamp set. This was cut with the coordinating die. Before sticking this down, I first added foliage images from the Pop of Petals stamp set and Crumb Cake ink.

Three flowers were stamped with Lovely Lipstick ink and cut with the coordinating punch.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.
