I used the Everyday Happiness designer series paper to create the layers of this sketch challenge.

Lost Lagoon cardstock and ink tied the elements together.

Hello Everyone,

Today’s card is my design team make for the latest Inspire Create Challenge!

For Challenge #197 we are creating projects inspired by a sketch!

I have used the last chance Cake Celebrations with Everyday Happiness designer series paper.

Gold foil cardstock adds a little luxury to the layout. I used the same piece for die cut pieces and the layering…. The holes are covered by the DSP.

The flags were made with Stylish Shapes, which I folded over some bakers twine.

Antique Pearls were coloured with a Stampin’ Blend to match the colours in the paper!

I have used the amazing Sketched Butterflies as the feature for my project!

Images were stamped with Memento Ink and coloured with watercolour pencils.

Die cuts from the Memorable Blooms Bundle and Stylish Shapes created a back drop for the bright butterflies.

I used different colours for this version, using black accents with Pretty in Pink ribbon.

Hello Everyone,

Today’s card is my design team make for the latest Inspire Create Challenge!

For Challenge #187 we have a sketch challenge!

I have used the Country Woods designer series paper to create the background, layering the strips on to some Crumb Cake cardstock!

This ribbon is no longer available, but Basic Beige Bordered Ribbon would work well too.

Stylish Shapes Dies made up the sentiment detail, which I stamped with Night of Navy ink.

Inspire Create Challenge #183 – Sketch Challenge!

Hello Everyone,

Today’s card is my design team make for the latest Inspire Create Challenge!

For Challenge #183 we are using a sketch challenge for all our projects!

I have picked some favourite last chance products for my card.

I used an embossing folder to add texture to one half of the background. This was masked off to add some ink with a blending brush.

Some ribbon was added before adhering this to the card base.

A Deckled Rectangle die cut was also inked and added with Dimensionals.

Coordinating ink was used to stamp a large butterfly to add to the rectangle.

Finally, I added the sentiment, and a butterfly on the inside of the card.

For the focal point I cut circles with Stylish Shapes and Spotlight on Nature dies. I added a touch of ink with a blending brush.

The sentiment was taken from Labelled with Love!

Some gold trim and sequins were added to finish the card.

Crafty Challenge Insta-hop August 2024 – Sketch Challenge!

Hello Everyone,

Today I’m bringing you the card I shared over on Instagram for this month’s Crafty Challenge….

This sketch is so flexible… I’m keeping it nice and simple.

The rectangle was cut using the Everyday Details dies. I added Pretty in Pink and Petunia Pop ink with a Blending Brush and layered it on to black cardstock.

I used a scrap of Summer Splash cardstock to create a banner to go across the rectangle and wrapped some bakers twine.

The sentiment was stamped onto black cardstock and heat embossed in white.

The card base is made with Basic Beige cardstock with an embossed background.

This version uses Copper Clay, Wild Wheat and Boho Blue on a Very Vanilla card base.

Inspire Create Challenge #175 – Sketch Challenge!

Hello Everyone,

Today’s card is made for the latest Inspire Create Challenge Design Team!

For Challenge #175 we are using a sketch to inspire our projects!

As usual, I prefer a portrait layout, so I have rotated the sketch for my design.

I added Pretty Peacock ink to the background panel with a blending brush.

The Distressed Tile embossing folder was then used for a letterpress technique with Wild Wheat ink.

I find that the results are best with two passes through the die cut machine.

I used my paper trimmer to slice the panel into sections.

A Heartfelt Hexagon was added at the intersection. Sketched Butterflies dies were substituted for gems or pearls!

Try other colour combinations… This one is more muted, with Copper Clay and Basic Beige.

I have used the Light the Way stamp set for my project, this set carried over from the mini catalogue.

The Stylish Shapes dies were used to make the feature panel adding ink to the squares to tie in with the background.

I used the stamps to build up the background, mixing various shades and first and second generation ink.

This card used Lemon Lolly, Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce!

Hello Everyone,

Today’s card is made for the latest Inspire Create Challenge!

Challenge #139 is a Sketch – a layout suggestion to create the card. This isn’t in keeping with my usual style but I’m giving it a try!

I have used the fabulous In Colours for my project today.

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial….

I have tried to stick to the sketch as closely as possible so I used the Heart Punch Pack to cut layers of vellum and cardstock.

The strips for the background are embossed / debossed and added to the Basic White panel at an angle.

For the original card the strips were tone on tone stamped and the sentiment was heat embossed.

Hello Everyone,

I’m playing along with the Inspire Create Challenge with today’s project.

This time it is a great sketch that’s right up my street and open to a heap of different ideas.

I chose to use the Simply Fabulous Stamp set for my project. This is great set for a beginner stampers too!

I am using totally gorgeous Gorgeous Grape with Granny Apple Green.

Masking off the section in the middle and adding a little ink makes the sentiment stand out.

This version uses Melon Mambo ink for the flowers! A few rhinestones just finish it off!

This colour combo reminds of a sunset on a summer’s evening!

The black layer ties the embossing and sentiment together.

This card takes on a completely different look by using these deeper colours. White embossing would look good too!

There’s a brand new challenge starting today over on the Inspire.Create.Challenges blog!

This time it’s a sketch challenge, and is great one for all skill levels to join in… Post a picture of your creations in the gallery and we’ll pick a winner!

My cards have been kept very simple focusing on the fabulous designer series papers Stampin’ Up! has to offer.

The narrow section is the perfect place for a bold sentiment. I used the Ornate Thanks set.

Welcome to my blog. Today I am featuring my Design Team project for the Inspire.Create.Challenge

Our challenge this time is a sketch!

My card uses the Pansy Patch stamp set and Pansy Petals designer series paper. I have rotated the sketch to make a portrait design.

I love the gingham prints in the paper pack!

The ribbon was the perfect width to cover the gap across the middle of the card and the scalloped edge of the layering circles dies draws the eye to the sentiment.
