Creating a Fun Background with Round We Go dies!

Hello Everyone!

My card today features a last chance stamp set and dies. These are still available in the online store, (links at the bottom of this post), get them while you can!

I thought it would be cool to try and create a background with these dies! The colours were inspired by the Pack Your Bags Twine trio and I went from there!

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial….

I added stamped rosettes over the top of the die cutting using Azure Afternoon, Balmy Blue and Pool Party!

The twine was wrapped around the panel for some texture, with Basic Rhinestone embellishments.

Here is the Strawberry Slush version with Pretty in Pink and Bubble Bath. I used the smaller die for this background.

I finished die cutting the panel I showed in my video and used Shy Shamrock, Lemon Lime Twist and Soft Sea Foam inks the stamp the rosettes!

The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Thanks for stopping by today and happy Stampin’!

Creating a Dimensional Background with Nested Essentials Dies!

Hello Everyone,

Here’s another background idea for you, this time using the Nested Essentials dies!

Six die cuts are needed, I used 3 in Basic White, 2 in Pool Party and 1 in Night of Navy.

The Basic White shapes were adhered first. The centre one was added last and helps with positioning the coloured pieces.

The sentiment is taken from Wonderful Thoughts and stamped with Blueberry Bushel ink.

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial….

A combination of Thoughtful Wishes and Sentimental Park created the foliage and flowers. Some Wink of Stella pulled some colour from the stamped outline.

This card used Calypso Coral and Petal Pink, not my favourite colours, but look great together in this layout.

I also creating this version when I was designing today’s project. This one uses the smaller shape in Basic White. The flowers are in Melon Mambo and the sentiment in Pebbled Path.

The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Ink Blended Background using the Layered Florals Embossing Folder

Hello Everyone,

Have you seen this amazing embossing folder? I absolutely love it… And it’s perfect for making super quick but stunning cards!

This is 3D folder, so make sure you follow the directions on your die cutting machine to get the right sandwich!

I just used Basic White cardstock so I could add colour, but this could easily have been subbed for any cardstock of your choice.

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial…

I’ve added colour with blending brushes, selecting areas of the embossing for each colour.

This combo is Granny Apple Green, Berry Burst and Fresh Freesia with Gray Granite.

The sentiment is from a Sale-a-bration set and cut with these cute Everyday Details dies.

Here’s another version using Soft Sea Foam, Lemon Lolly and Bubble Bath with Crumb Cake… A much softer look!

And here’s another with bold blue flowers! This technique is definitely one to have fun with!

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Wreath Building with the Joy of Noel Stamp Set

Hello Everyone,

I have been wanting to make a Christmas wreath with the Joy of Noel bundle for ages… And here it is!

I have picked a nontraditional colour scheme to get a frosty look to the card. The foliage uses a mixture of Lost Lagoon, Pool Party and Soft Sea Foam with Moody Mauve berries.

With a different sentiment, this would make a beautiful winter wedding card too.

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial

The card base and sentiment are in Gray Granite accented with some vellum, Sheer ribbon and Neutral Adhesive Sequins.

This version uses warmer tones of Pecan Pie and Crumb Cake, with Mossy Meadow, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Cards and Tags using New Stampin’ Up! In Colours

Hello Everyone,

It is so exciting to be able to use these fabulous new Stampin’ Up! In Colours!

These are earthier tones than we have had in recent years and I can see Pebbled Path being a versatile neutral.

In Colour products are not yet available to customers, these will launch when the new catalogue goes live in May. If just can’t wait, you can join Stampin’ Up! now and add them to a Starter Kit!

For today’s project, I am using the Around the Bend stamps and dies.

Here is Moody Mauve and Pebbled Path.

You can see how I made these cards in my video tutorial …

Circle punches are available as online exclusives and layer together perfectly.

Here is Copper Clay and Wild Wheat.

And finally, this is Boho Blue.

I think they look great together as a collection!

The coordinating embellishments are really pretty and catch the light so well.

Tailor Made Tags dies were used for these additional elements.

I was able to make the card and two tags from a ingle A4 sheet of cardstock with just a few scraps left over!

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog and to my Inspire.Create.Challenge design team project!

Click the button below to see the other design team inspiration projects. You can also take part and add a photo of your creation here too!

I chose to work with a brand new stamp bundle called Dainty Delight.

You can see how I made my card in my video tutorial….

I combined colours from the bright and subtle colour families for the layering and chose a matching ink for the sentiment.

The image was coloured very simply with Stampin’ Blends.

A touch of ink blending in the background makes the die cut elements pop.

I opted not to add extra embellishments.

I hope you enjoyed this project.
