Inspire.Create.Challenge #130 with Blessings of Home

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my blog today!

My card project is my design team inspiration for the Inspire.Create.Challenge 130…. And this time it’s a free choice, no specific theme or colours!

So I made something pretty and floral with the Blessings of Home bundle and my Stampin’ Blends!

The colours I used were Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent….

The decorative masks add a simple and effective background to coordinate with the design.

Theses flowers were coloured with Tahitian Tide and Balmy Blue!

And this one uses Highland Heather and Fresh Freesia!

Creating a Snowy Background using a Decorative Mask

Hello Everyone,

I love this collection of decorative masks and I’ve this one a few times now.

My idea this time is to layer the design with different coloured inks. The colour combination is from this month’s @sucolorchallenge on Facebook!

Creating Subtle Backgrounds with Decorative Masks & Pastels

Hello Everyone,

Today I am sharing a technique to create backgrounds using the Soft Pastel Assortment.

Using this medium gives a much softer colour to the background than can be achieved with inks.

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial….

The piece was simply layered with coordinating cardstock with a die cut sentiment added with dimensionals

This card used a different mask but the same pastel colours. This time the sentiment was cut with the Double Oval punch.

Using Masks to Make a Fun Geometric Embossed Rainbow Card

Hello Everyone,

I had some fun today with this awesome new mask, inks and embossing powder!

This card used colours from the Subtles collection;

Calypso Coral
So Saffron
Pear Pizzazz
Balmy Blue
Highland Heather

I was really pleased with how this turned out.

It occurred to me later that the Stitched Triangles would have continued the geometric theme.

This card uses the Brights collection.

Autumnal Masked Background

Hello Fabulous

Hello Everyone,

Today’s card features the All Dressed Up bundle.

I decided to use a decorative mask to create a background. Daffodil Delight ink was applied using a sponge dauber.

The perfume bottle was stamped ith black ink and “coloured” with one of the coordinating stamps from the set.

Whisper White card stock was die cut using the Stitched So Sweetly set. A sentimental was added with Lovely Lipstick ink.

The elements were added with dimensionals.
