Wonderful Fall #GDP159

Hello Everyone,

This week’s Global Design Project challenge is a cute seasonal theme; the design team have made some very varied projects as inspiration. You can see them here.

I have chosen to work with Colourful Seasons.

I created a heart shaped mask from post it note paper.

Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz inks were used to stamp the three different leaf images from the set.

The sentiment was taken from Rooted in Nature. I used the Stamparatus to ensure a crisp impression.

A few sequins completed the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Just Add Vellum challenge #429

Hi Folks,

This week the Just Add Ink challenge is to add Vellum!

You can see inspiration from the design team here.

I love using Vellum… It is the perfect accent to add to the background of this card design.

Most of the design elements are all from the Falling Flowers stamp set and coordinating May Flowers dies.

I started by positioning a vellum die cut, securing it with some snail adhesive.

Flowers and leaves were stamped with Flirty Flamingo and Soft Sea Foam inks respectively. These were die cut and adhered with Multipurpose glue.

A rhinestone was added to each flower centre.

The sentiment from Wood Words was stamped with Shaded Spruce ink and cut using a 1-1/8 Scalloped circle punch.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Inspire.Create #028

Hello Everyone,

There’s a new Inspire.Create challenge going on right now…. Look at these colours!

As always the design team have pulled out all the stops with their samples. You can see them here.

For my design, I wanted to use a stamp set with lots of complementary elements. I ended up choosing Swirly Bird.

The card itself was really easy to put together. First, I decided which stamps I would pair with each colour, (except Lovely Lipstick). I then built up the design, keeping in mind the “rule of threes”.

The corners were punched with the Detailed Trio Punch and adhered to a Lovely Lipstick card base.

I also used Lovely Lipstick card stock to die cut the word ‘love’ which I adhered to a Vellum circle.

The additional sentiments were stamped on to strips of white card stock. These were also added to the Vellum, this time with dimensionals.

The vellum was then adhered to the card with dimensionals, hiding them behind the other elements.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

I used craft ink to stamp the tress on to Basic Grey card stock.

Snowflake Hugs

Good Morning,

The Beautiful Blizzard bundle was one of the first things I bought from the Autumn Winter catalogue… I knew I would able to make simple but effective cards.

I built the background with Pool Party ink. Stamped snowflakes were added with Pool Party and 2nd and 3rd generation Blueberry Bushel inks.

The sentiment was stamped with Blueberry Bushel Ink and adhered with dimensionals.

Some Die cut snowflakes were added with glue dots and a small bow of mini Grosgrain ribbon.

Finally, a few iridescent sequins finished the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Some Sahara Sand Ink was added the edges before removing the mask.

The sentiment was added along the stamped edge with Merry Merlot ink.

Some spooky bats were punched from black card stock and painted with Frost White Shimmer paint.

Three Boats #GDP158

Hi there Everyone,

It’s Wednesday, so it’s time for a Global Design Project challenge.

This week is a sketch challenge and as usual the design team have made some wonderful projects to inspire us. See them all here!

I have pulled out the Lilypad Lake bundle. I liked the idea of having three little boats across the card.

I chose a neutral card base of Sahara Sand. A piece of Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper was adhered to the base with SNAIL adhesive.

Sahara Sand ink was used to stamp the water on to a strip of Whisper White card stock. Some silver baker’s twine was tied around the piece before adding to the card with dimensionals.

The boats were stamped with Memento Ink and coloured with Stampin’ Blends markers to complement the paper in the background.

The sentiment was also stamped with Memento Ink and cut in to strips.

Some adhesive backed sequins were added to the background.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Quick Cards with Falling for Leaves

Hi Everyone,

I really love stamp sets with leaves. For today’s post I have made three quick cards.

The first is simply stamping.

The leaves were added down the side and the sentiment tucked in at the bottom.

The second introduces a layer.

Leaves were stamped across the middle.

The sentiment was stamped separately and cut down to size. This was adhered with dimensionals.

And finally, adding a die cut.

I chose a stitched circle, but could have been a square or even an oval.

Leaves were stamped so to appear to be growing from behind the circle.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

When I showed these colours to my downline she immediately said “balloons!” so here they are. I love the Lift Me Up set; one of my favourites!

I went with a simple Layered card. Calypso Coral was used for the card base, adding layers of Whisper White and Pool Party.

Clouds were stamped over the top layer.

The balloons were stamped and die cut. These were adhered both flat and with dimensionals to add some depth.

The sentiment was added to one side slightly over hanging the top layers.

Love You Lots

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are having a great weekend.

I am making another super simple project this time featuring the Takeout Treats bundle.

For the card, I used Real Red ink to stamp the cute hearts which were then die cut. These were adhered flat on to a white card layer.

The banner die is included in the set and was used to cut the sentiment. I used Call Me Clover ink for this.

The card was layered with Real Red card stock and mounted on to a Call Me Clover card base.

I decided to make up the little box too. The dies make this very easy to do.

This was simply decorated with designer series paper and die cut tags from the set. Some red satin ribbon finished it off.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Just Add ‘K’

Good Afternoon,

Popping in an extra post to share my entry for this week’s Just Add Ink challenge……

You can see what the design team have made here!

I thought “K” could be for kindness.

The card base is made with Whisper White card stock. A card layer was lightly spritzed with water before embossing with the Swirls and Curls embossing folder.

The kindness sentiment from the Abstract Impressions bundle was stamped with Blushing Bride Ink and cut down to size.

The butterfly die was used to cut Blushing Bride and Vellum card stock. These were adhered together and rhinestones added to the body.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Stencilled Snowflakes

Good Morning,

With the chilly morning we have been having, I thought I would use the Beautiful Blizzard bundle today.

The card is inspired by a project that we made at our recent team retreat curtesy of the lovely Heidi.

The main panel has made use of the “waste” from the cutting die as, a stencil.

I gently stippled ink over the portions I wanted using a sponge dauber. It didn’t matter to me that the edges weren’t perfect, it all added to the effect.

Once I was happy with the result, I adhered this to a Pool Party card which already has a white layer attached.

The sentiment was added simply at the bottom of the card and a few sequins completed the design.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Inspire.Create #027

This week marks the first anniversary of the amazing Inspire.Create challenge blog!

Congratulations to Hannah McCurley for making it all happen.

So the theme challenge is……

You can see what the design team have made here! Why don’t you join in too?

I have created a bright congratulations card featuring Petal Palette and the Buffalo Check background.

The check was stamped with Lemon Lime Twist ink and cut down to size… (I didn’t measure it). I also cut a piece of white card stock and stamped the leaves. This was added to a Lovely Lipstick card base.

The flowers were watercoloured with Lemon Lime Twist and Lovely Lipstick inks before Die Cutting. These were adhered with dimensionals.

The sentiment was tucked in to the flowers also using dimensional adhesive.

A few artisan pearls completed the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

On a Whisper White card layer I stamped the circular motif with versamark and heat embossed with white powder. Balmy Blue ink was sponged over the top.

The sentiment was added with Smoky Slate ink. The layer was mounted on to a white card base with dimensionals.

The bulbs were stamped on to each of the 2018 in colour card stocks with versamark, embossed with clear powder and punch out. The fixings were punched from Basic Gray card stock.

Silver baker’s twine was adhered to the card base with Multipurpose glue. The light bulbs were added with dimensionals.

Merry Christmas To You

Good Morning Everybody,

Today’s card is a C. A. S. E of a card from The Creative Watermelon. You can see her original design here.

I really liked the watercoloured circle of Kaylee’s card. For my version, I used the Emboss resist technique.

The light bulbs from the Making Christmas Bright stamp set was stamped with clear versamark ink and heat embossed with clear powder.

Ink was pressed on to an acrylic block and added over the top of the embossing.

A white card layer Die cut with a layering circle die. The watercoloured piece was adhered behind the aperture and added to a Real Red card base.

Black card stock was die cut with an adhesive sheet on the back. The word could then be adhered straight on to the card.

The rest of the sentiment was heat embossed in white and then adhered with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.
