InspireINK Blog Hop – Tic Tac Toe Colour Challenge

Good Morning Everybody,

Welcome to this month’s InspireINK blog hop. This time we have a fun colour challenge.

Please be sure to click through all the projects in the hop by clicking on the link below.

I have chosen two lovely retiring stamp sets for my card, Falling Flowers & Friendly Expressions.

A white card layer was first stamped with the large flourish image using Mango Melody ink.

Blackberry Bliss ink was used to stamp the sentiment on to some vellum. I secure this to the card layer by wrapping the ends behind.

Other elements were stamped on to Whisper White card stock. The images were “coloured” by moving the ink with a Wink of Stella Glitter brush. These were then die cut ready to be arranged on the card front.

A combination of Multipurpose glue and dimensionals were used to adhere the elements. Some faceted gems completed the card.

InspireINK October Blog Hop

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to this month’s InspireINK blog hop.

This month the theme is….

I used the image to inspire my colour choices too, opting for Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive and Crushed Curry.

The card base was layered with Very Vanilla card stock and Country Lane Designer Series Paper.

A smaller piece of patterned paper 2-1/2 by 3 inches was added towards the last hand side. An Old Olive coloured doily was adhered over the top.

Blackberry Bliss ink was used to stamp the sentiment on to Very Vanilla card stock. This was Layered on to Blackberry Bliss card stock and added to the card with dimensionals.

Matching leaves were cut with the leaf punch and were added along with some faceted dots.

Just Thanks #GDP160

Hello Everyone,

It’s Global Design Project challenge time. This week it’s a case the designer challenge from Krista.

The sample card is gorgeous… Using one of my most favourite stamp sets.

The design team have made some great projects based on Krista’s design. You can see them all here

I resisted using the same stamp set and instead pulled out Tropical Chic and the matching dies and paper.

Some patterned paper was adhered to a white card base.

On a separate white card layer, I stamped the palm leaves with Soft Sea Foam ink. This layer was added to the card with dimensionals.

On a separate scrap of card, the sentiment was stamped with Berry Burst ink. Powder Pink ink was used to add the stripes to the edge.

Another palm leaf was stamped in Shaded Spruce ink and die cut.

A small bow of Berry Burst Ruffled Ribbon was adhered with glue dots. Gold pearls completed the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Just Add Ink #423

Hi Everyone,

I hope those of you in the UK are enjoying the Bank Holiday.

Today I am playing along with the Just Add Ink challenge.

This is an interesting combination, see what the design team have made here!

And this is what I have created featuring the Follow Your Dreams stamp set and dies.

I built the background first using the Artisan Textures stamp set. To soften this a little, a Vellum overlay was placed over the top. The panel was added to a Basic Grey card base.

There are lots of layers on the dream catcher.

First, the largest image was stamped in Basic Grey and Die cut.

The additional layers were cut from Bermuda Bay and Soft Suede card stock. These were secured together with a silver brad.

The large feathers were cut from white card stock and Soft Suede ink was added to the ends with a sponge dauber. The smaller feathers were stamped with Bermuda Bay ink on to matching card before Die Cutting and adding to the dream catcher.

The Friendly Expressions stamp set was used for the sentiment which was heat embossed with silver powder.

This was cut with the Pretty Label Punch and adhered with dimensionals. A few silver pearls completed the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Lisa’s Colour Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Welcome this month’s InspireINK blog hop.

Lisa has chosen a colour challenge. I had to think a long time about this one!

In the end I opted for a grungy style card.

I used the Artisan Textures stamp set, starting with Merry Merlot. This is a strong colour, so I used only a little bit. This later became the backdrop for the sentiment.

Other images from Artisan Textures were used to build up the background. Bermuda Bay first, then Daffodil Delight. The panel was mounted on to a Merry Merlot card base.

Bermuda Bay ink was used to stamp the sentiment on to a strip of white card stock. The Everyday Label Punch was used the shape the ends.

A few rhinestones finished the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Quick Cards featuring Twinkle Twinkle DSP (part 2)

Hi there,

On Friday I shared some quick cards using the Twinkle Twinkle DSP. Today’s card use the same technique with a slightly different layout.

I have picked three sheetsof Twinkle Twinkle DSP with a predominant base colour, (Whisper White, Pool Party and Night of Navy).

Each of the coordinating card stock colours were used to make a standard card base. The front was then embossed with the Subtle Embossing folder.

DSP was cut to 3 inches by 2 inches. A piece of white card was cut to make a layer behind the paper. The panel was then adhered towards the top right corner of the card base.

I wanted a bold sentiment so I picked out “thanks” from the Friendly Expressions Stamp set. This was stamped with coordinating ink, trimmed to size and added to the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Make Me Proud

Hello Everyone,

My absolute favourite colour from the new release has got to be Blackberry Bliss – just love it!

So today’s project is made entirely in this colour – well except the Whisper White to stamp on.

I randomly stamped the leaves using first, second and third generation ink.

Some Nature’s Twine was wrapped around this panel which was then adhered to the card base with dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped and trimmed down to size. The corners were rounded with the Detailed Trio punch.

A tree from the Rooted in Nature stamp set was die cut and added to the card.

To finish the card, I added some faceted dots.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.
