Inspire.Create. #025 Guest Designer

Hello Everybody,

Today is a very special day for me… Today I have the enormous pleasure to be a guest designer for this Inspire.Create.Challenge.

This week is a colour challenge, and wouldn’t you know they are three of my favourites!

So this what I have designed.

I have kept the card simple to allow the beautiful colours to shine through.

I used the Chase Your Dreams Framelits to cut five feathers from Whisper White card stock. The word “dream” was cut three times.

The inks were applied to the die cuts using a sponge dauber.

The die cut words were stacked and adhered to the card with Multipurpose glue.

Mini dimensionals were used to adhere the feathers to the card.

A touch of Wink of Stella was added over the top of the die cuts for a little extra sparkle.

I hope have enjoyed this project as much as I did making it!

The supplies used to make this card are listed below.

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog post today, please call back again soon.

Happy Stampin’!

Thinking of You – Just Add Ink #418

Good Morning Everybody!

Today I am sharing my entry for this week’s Just Add Ink challenge.

The design team have made some great inspirational projects. You can see them here!

I found this set of colours tricky… The Daffodil Delight is very bright compared to the other colours in the palette.

This is what I created.

I decided to use Daffodil Delight designer series paper for the background. A 4 inch square was cut diagonally, each portion being adhered into the corners of a Whisper White card base.

Soft Sea Foam ink was used to add some leaves to the gap.

I wanted a bold sentiment. I picked out “thinking of you” from the Rooted in Nature Stamp set. This was stamped with Daffodil Delight ink and cut with a 2-1/4 inch circle punch.

Three flowers from the Pop of Petals stamp set were stamped with Blushing Bride ink and cut with the coordinating punch.

I used the Leaf punch to cut three sets of leaves from Soft Sea Foam card stock.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

The supplies used are listed below.

Inspire.Create #022

Good Morning!

Welcome to today’s blog post and my entry for the Inspire.Create Challenge.

This time there is a colour challenge….

The colours really lend themselves to a floral theme. This is what I created;

Shaded Spruce card stock was used to make the card base. Some Powder Pink designer series paper was adhered to the front.

I picked out some Layering Squares framelits to make the topper.

A Stitched Square framelit was used to cut some Whisper White card stock.

Shaded Spruce and Coastal Cabana inks were used to stamp the foliage images from the Abstract Impressions stamp set.

The flowers were then stamped with Powder Pink ink and coated with Wink of Stella glitter.

Finally, the sentiment was added underneath the topper.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Thoughtfulness #GDP145

Hello Everyone,

I am playing along with the Global Design Project today.

This week is a colour challenge. There is lots of inspiration from the design team, you can see all their projects here!

I have used my favourite set, All The Good Things!

On Very Vanilla card stock, I stamped the small fish with Grapefruit Grove and Fresh Fig ink. Applying the ink with a sponge dauber gives a multicoloured look.

The panel was layered on to Mint Macaron card stock and then on to a Fresh Fig card base.

The sentiment was stamped on to a strip of Very Vanilla card stock. The small flower was stamped over the top with Mint Macaron ink. This was then adhered with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

You are Wonderful #GDP141

Good Morning Everyone,

The Global Design Project this week has a colour challenge going on.

The Design Team have created some stunning samples that can be seen here!

I thought these colours were very autumnal, so I pulled out the Rooted in Nature stamp set.

I opted to use Rich Razzleberry as the base for the card.

A white layer was embossed with the Petal Burst embossing folder.

Three leaves were stamped with Pumpkin Pie ink and die cut.

Three squares were also die cut from white card stock, these could also be cut using a trimmer.

The sentiment was stamped with Real Red ink and trimmed down to get an even border.

The elements were arranged on the front of the card and secured with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Good Times! Just Add Ink 408

Happy Monday!

I am taking part in this week’s Just Add Ink colour challenge today.

The design team have made some fabulous samples. You can see them here.

These are the colours for the challenge. Whilst they shout out florals, I wanted to do something different.

I decided to build a background and make the sentiment the feature.

I picked out the Happy Celebrations set because I liked the idea of using triangles to make my background.

The card base is made with Wild Wasabi card stock.

Layers were cut from Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz and adhered these together.

A separate Whisper White layer WS cut for stamping. The triangles were stamped with Pear Pizzazz and Powder Pink inks. I used first, second and third generation ink to get a range of shades in the same colour.

The stamped panel was adhered to the other layers. Some Powder Pink finely woven ribbon was added at the bottom. This was then secured to the card base with dimensionals.

The “celebrate” and “good times” sentiments were stamped separately with Wild Wasabi ink and trimmed to size. These were added to the card using dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Five Stitched squares were die cut from white card. These were then cut again with the decorative butterfly die and adhered to a scalloped square cut from each of the In Colour card stocks.

Five additional butterflies were cut from white card stock. The wings were shaped with a bone folder and adhered to the scalloped square topper.

The sentiment was stamped in coordinating ink at the bottom of each card. I used my grid paper to line up each one.

The topper was adhered to the card with dimensionals.

Finally, three rhinestone gems were added to each of the butterfly bodies.

Inspire.Create.Challenge #007

Good Morning,

I am taking part in the Inspire.Create.Challenge today.

This week it’s a colour challenge!

You can see what the Design Team created here

This was such a festive combination so I have created a Christmas project.

The centre panel for stamping was cut to 3-1/4 inches square.

The edges of the panel were stamped using the Peace This Christmas stamp set.

Starting with Pear Pizzazz, the fir branch covered the entire edge.

Working in threes, Tranquil Tide ink was used to add the leaves and berries. This was also used to add some detail to the feast of the panel.

Pine cones were stamped in Crumb Cake ink, and the berries in Real Red.

The sentiment was added to the middle using Black Memento ink.

The panels were adhered to another Whisper White square measuring 3-1/2 inches.

For the white card, this was simply adhered with dimensionals.

The other card was made from Tranquil Tide card stock. The stamped panel was then added to some Real Red card stock measuring 3-5/8 inches square before adhering to the card base.

I hope you enjoyed this project. Thanks for stopping by and happy Stampin’!

Inspire.Create.Challenge #004

Hi there,

The Inspire.Create.Challenge this week is a colour challenge. See what the design team created here

This is my project.

I have used Painted Harvest to make my card.

I started by experimenting with the blue inks. I wasn’t sure that they would go together, but the result was beautiful.

I decided to keep the accompanying leaves plain white.

The sentiment was stamped in Flirty Flamingo and cut with my favourite Starburst punch. I also punched some Flirty Flamingo card stock to lie underneath.

I used a Whisper White card base and added layers of Island Indigo and Calypso Coral.

The white layer was stamped with foliage from the set using both Island Indigo and Soft Sky inks.

Some Flirty Flamingo Striped Grosgrain ribbon was added across the middle. The sentiment and flower were added with dimensionals.

Happy for You

This months challenge….. I have to say I wasn’t immediately sure I could use all the colours this time, but I did it.

See what the design team created by following the blog hop, start here

This is what I came up with.

In a light bulb moment, I tried using Sahara Sand and Sweet Sugarplum with Painted Harvest. The centres are Always Artichoke stamped off once. What an effect, love it.

I stamped the leaves in Old Olive, then cut these with the Leaf punch. The flowers were fussy cut by hand.

I opted for a Sweet Sugarplum card base with a Sahara Sand layer.

Some Whisper White was stamped with the tiny speckle image. A piece of Old Olive mini chevron ribbon was added to the middle before adhering to the card base.

The flowers and leaves were arranged on the card. The sentiment is taken from Sunshine Sayings, stamped in Always Artichoke and cut with the Classic Label punch

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Merry & Bright #GDP109

Hi there,

It’s time for another Global Design Project. This week is a colour challenge. You can see what the design team created here

This is my interpretation;

I used a Basic Black card base, A4 cut lengthways at 4-1/8 inches and scored at 5-7/8 inches.

The card layer was cut from Old Olive, 4 by 5-3/4 inches. The edges were stamped with snowflakes from Colorful Season stamp set in versamark ink and heat embossed with gold powder. This was adhered flat to card base.

I cut another Basic Black layer, 3-1/4 by 5 inches to which I added some Old Olive, 3-1/8 by 4-7/8 inches, which I debossed with the Winter Wonder embossing folder. This was adhered flat to the Basic Black and then to the card with dimensionals.

A foiled snowflake was added to the middle of the debossed image.

The sentiment from Hearts Come Home was stamped on to Basic Black card stock with versamark ink and heat embossed with gold powder. This was die cut with a Stitched Shape framelit.

A small bow was tied from Old Olive mini chevron ribbon and adhered in place with a glue dot.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.
