Beautiful Day #GDP146

Hi Everyone,

The Global Design Project has a sketch challenge this week. There is lots of inspiration over at the blog. You can see them all here!

This is my project.

Some Tropical Escapes Designer Series Paper was adhered to a Whisper White card base.

A piece of Whisper White card stock was cut to 2-3/4 by 3-1/2 inches. This was matted on to some Early Espresso card stock.

A left over scrap of Very Vanilla card stock was adhered to the bottom of the panel. A 1/2 inch strip of DSP was added to this.

Some silver baker’s twine was tied at the bottom.

The sentiment was stamped with Memento ink, trimmed to size and corners rounded.

Three butterflies were stamped, coloured and die cut.

The elements were arranged on the card and adhered with multipurpose glue and dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Amazing Bokeh

Good Morning Everyone,

Sometimes I have absolutely no idea what I am going to make…. This project was one of those, but I am really pleased with the result.

This stamp set immediately caught my eye in the new annual catalogue so I started with the stamp. After trying a few ink colours, I tried heat embossing the image.

I then decided to use the emboss resist technique to bring out the detail. The colours I picked out were Balmy Blue, Pool Party and Soft Sea Foam. The ink was applied with sponge daubers.

For added interest, I lightly spritzed the card with water, dabbed off the excess and dried with a heat tool.

The panel was adhered to some Basic Gray card stock and then added to a Soft Sea Foam card base.

Rather than stamping a sentiment, I used the Celebrate You thinlits. These were cut from Basic Black and Basic Gray card stock. For some dimension, “you” was cut three times and glued together.

Finally, some pearl white adhesive sequins were added to the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Please use the hostess code 4QCQ4HPT when placing your order to get something extra from me in July.

Big Time

Good Morning Everybody,

I fancied doing some colouring so I pulled out this Animal Outing stamp set.

As I was using Stampin’ Blends to colour, I stamped the images with Memento ink on to a 3-1/2 square of Whisper White card stock.

The rhino was coloured with Smoky Slate and Ivory;

The frog is Rich Razzleberry;

The bird is Pool Party and Bermuda Bay;

Old Olive and Bronze were used for the branch.

The card base was made from Call Me Clover card stock which was cut to 8 by 4 inches, scored at 4 inches.

A 2 inch strip of In Colour DSP was added to the right hand side of the card, then embossed with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textures embossing folder.

Layering Squares framelits were used to make a small frame of card stock which was adhered at an angle with mini dimensionals. Some Wink of Stella glitter pen added some sparkle.

The stamped panel adhered over the top of this.

The cute sentiment was stamped with Call Me Clover ink and cut with a 1-1/4 inch circle punch. This was added to a 1-3/8 scallop circle cut from the same DSP.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below. Click the picture to be directed to the online store.

The hostess code for orders less than £150 is 4QCQ4HPT. I would love to be your demonstrator.

Love What I Do

Good Morning,

Here is another creation using the Share What You Love exclusive early release bundles.

Today I am using products only available in the Gotta Have It All option. These includes card stock, a gorgeous embossing folder and amazing designer series paper.

The card base is made with Old Olive card stock. The pack in the kit also contains Rich Razzleberry, the new in colour Grapefruit Grove and the returning favourite Mint Macaron!

I used the Big Shot to emboss some Whisper White card stock. This is a thick folder so only one cutting pad is needed. I was going to leave this uncoloured, but it was too stark against the card base. I used Old Olive and Grapefruit Grove inks and sponged over the debossed side.

This piece was adhered to the card base over some designer series paper using dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped simply with Old Olive ink on to Very Vanilla card stock and layered on to some more DSP. A few Grapefruit Grove Artisan Pearls finished the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below and linked directly to the online store.

Hello and Happy Friday!

The freshly made sketches design team have been busy again. See how they interpreted this week’s sketch here!

And this is what I have created;

Some Real Red Tutti-Frutti designer series paper was adhered to a Whisper White card base.

A piece of Lemon Lime Twist paper from the same collection was cut to size along with a piece of Whisper White.

The Ribbon of Courage stamp set was used as the feature image. I chose to use Real Red ink to match the base layer.

The ribbon was coloured with watercolour pencils.

The layers were adhered together with snail, and then to the base card with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

A Marriage Made in Heaven

Good Morning!

Welcome to April’s InspirInk blog hop. This month Hannah chose the theme….

Weddings!

Now wedding cards are not something I make a lot of, so this one got me thinking!

I chose a sentiment first and after rummaging in my stash for something pretty, I found my Rose Wonder stamp set and dies.

Generally speaking, I try to use just one stamp set for my projects, so I planned my overall design with Rose Wonder.

It was all too tempting to use the large rose image, but I liked the small flower in the set too.

After a bit of playing about with the different elements I decided on this design. Love it!

The card base was cut and scored in the usual way with a white card layer adhered to this.

Additional coloured and white card stock layers were cut smaller still and put to one side.

On the white piece, I stamped the greeting with clear versamark ink and heat embossed with silver powder. For extra emphasis, I also stamped the heart outline from the More Than Chocolate set.

Three flowers were stamped on to the card in coordinating ink.

Three flowers and two sets of leaves were die cut. To help adhere the flowers, I punched out 1/2 inch circles in matching card. This allowed me to use a dimensional behind each of the flowers.

The white layer was added to the coloured card stock and then adhered to the preprepared card base with dimensionals.

Some extra details were added to the flowers centres using multipurpose glue. Three basic pearls completed the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Magical Day Shaker – Just Add Ink #404

Hi Everyone,

I am taking part in this week’s Just Add Ink Challenge.

This time the task is to create a Shaker card…. Not something I make a lot!

Pop over to the Just Add Ink blog to see what the design team have made.

Here is what I created.

I just love the Magical Day stamp bundle … It is such a shame it will be retiring at the end of May.

The card base is made with Pink Pirouette card stock. Some Daffodil Delight striped paper from the Tutti-Frutti collection was adhered to the front.

I chose to make a heart shaped aperture from Pink Pirouette card stock. Some Window Sheet adhered to the back with Fast Fuse.

Adhesive foam strips were applied around the aperture and the edge of the card stock.

Gold glitter flakes and some sequins were placed in the centre of the card. The aperture was then adhered over the top.

The sentiment from the stamp set was stamped with Pink Pirouette ink and cut with the Everyday Label punch. This was adhered with dimensionals withe some Silver metallic thread looped behind.

Three unicorns were coloured with Stampin’ Blend markers.

I hope that you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Foil & Feathers – Just Add Ink #402

Hello Everyone,

I am joining the Just Add Ink Challenge again this week. The theme is:

To see what the design team created, click here!

This is my project. I chose foil and feathers!

I went all in with the card base and used a piece of the Foil Frenzy collection. I love this Soft Sky foiling.

The little budgies are from the Bird Banter stamp set. They were stamped on Very Vanilla card stock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers.

I used a Stitched Circle framelit to cut the image. This was adhered flat towards the left edge of the card front.

The sentiment is added simply using a small banner, which I layered with some Soft Sky card stock to complement the foil.

Finally, three “feathers” were stamped and cut from Soft Sky card stock. These are actually the little stylised leaves from the Daisy Delight stamp set!

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Remarkable

Hi there Everyone,

I am really loving working with Stampin’ Blends markers.

I have used more expensive markers in the past and the Blends perform really well in comparison.

Blending is easy because the markers are available as a pair, containing a light and dark shade or buy individually to create your own palette.

There are lots of ways to purchase.

  1. Get the whole set; 12 pairs of Stampin’ Up! colours, bronze, ivory and a colour lifter.
  2. Choose the colours you like to work with. Include a colour lifter to expand the shades that can be achieved with limited colours. Build your collection over time to suit your budget.
  3. Join Stampin’ Up! and add markers to your starter kit. Make up the value with Memento ink and card stock. Until 31st March, you can also add two extra stamp sets to colour with your markers.

View the details of the Sale-a-bration joining offer and the Stampin’ Blends colours available here!

For today’s card I have coloured this lovely flower from the Remarkable You stamp set.

I used the Calypso Coral combo and a little of the light Cherry Cobbler marker for the petals. Old Olive was used for the stem.

The image was cut with a Stitched square framelit and the layered on to some Cajun Craze card stock.

I made the card base with Cajun Craze card stock and added a plain white card layer.

Some white organza ribbon was coloured with the Ivory Stampin’ Blend marker…. Your ribbon can now be whatever colour you want!

The ribbon was looped back and forth and adhered to card base. The stamped square was added over the top with dimensionals.

The sentiment was added to the left to balance the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.
