Vellum Wings

Hello again Crafters,

The Dragonfly Dreams Bundle was first on my wishlist from the Spring Catalogue – it is SO beautiful!

The card front was covered with paper from Cupcakes and Carousels DSP stack.

A cluster of dragonflies was cut in Early Espresso card. The large solid dragonly was cut in Very Vanilla card. The detailed shape was cut from vellum and adhered over the solid shape. The body was added in Bermuda Bay ink.

The sentiment was stamped in Bermuda Bay ink and cut using a Stitched Shape Framelit. A larger circle was cut from vellum.

I hope you like this project.

Blissful Balloons

Hello again Crafters,

Today’s card features the Lift Me Up stamp bundle. I am totally in love with this set….I have made SO many cards with this.

This is a C6 card blank.

I have matted a 3 inch square of DSP onto a 3 1/4 inch peice of Whisper White. I added some ink to the edges.

2 Delicate Details borders were stamped along the left hand side, then adhered the square panel.

I stamped 3 balloons and die cut these. I also die cut some clouds from the same set.

Using different adhesives to create depth, I arranged the balloons as shown.

Finished off with a sentiment banner.

Hope you like this project.

Thanks for Everything

Hello Crafters,

I just love this Speciality DSP. The hot pink, (Melon Mambo) against black is so striking.

Organza ribbon was wrapped around the paper before adhering to a black card base.
The sentiment was added in Rose Red, on to a Stitched Framelit circle, lifted on dimensionals.

3 flowers were punched from Rose Red card stock and embellished with rhinestones.

Really simple to make and truly beautiful.

Hope you like this project.

Simply Christmas Cards

Hi Crafters,

I thought I would share some quick and simple christmas cards with you today.

All use the warmth and cheer paper stack.

Using 5×7 card blanks, I cut layers in the complimentary cardstock, either black or white middle layer then the patterned paper.

I then added some stamping and die cuts that I thought went well with the paper design.

Supplies used are linked below.

Butterfly Thank You

Hi ther Crafters,

I love how this turned out after just grabbing some supplies from my shelves. This is how I made it;

Stamp the background using Timeless Textures and Georgeous Grunge stamps sets. The colours I used were Crumb Cake, Early Expresso and Smoky Slate.

On a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the greeting from Tin of Cards stamp set.I used Flirty Flamingo. Punch out using the Decorative Label punch.

With the same ink, stamp the butterfly from Papillion Potpourri. Punch out using the Elegant Butterfly punch.

From matching cardstock, punch out a Washi Label.

Adhere this flat to the card blank running from top to bottom. Fast Fuse is best for sticking card to card.

Using dimensonals, add the greeting label. I positioned this to overlap all the base elements so as not to leave any white bits showing.

Finally, add the butterfly with a glue dot.

Hope you like this project.

Autumn Thanks

Hi there crafters.

These were the thank you cards I sent to my customers in september.

The stamps featured are 142198 Totally Trees and 141614 Thoughtful Banners.

On some Whisper White cardstock, cut to 4 3/4 by 5 3/4, I stamped the three naked trees in Early Expresso ink.

The canopy was stmped over top in So Saffron ink, its subtle, but the overall look is much better when it is finished.

The leaves themselves are stamped with Cherry Cobbler and Cajun Craze ink. I went with an autumn feel to match the season. I added some extra leaves at the base of the tress.

The ground and sky were sponged with Pear Pizzazz and Soft sky inks.

I layered this onto some DSP I had left over from the retired Have a Cuppa stack. It has tiny leaf shapes on it, this was then placed on to the card blank, (7 by 5).

The sentiment was stamped using Cherry Cobbler ink and cut with the matching framelit dies.

Moroccan Style

Hi Crafters,

Today’s card features the Paisleys and Posies stamp set, (142196) from the annual catalogue.

The top of the card was stamped in versamark ink, aligning the design as carefully as possible. The images were heat embossed with copper embossing powder.

The ower half of the card was covered with some Moroccan DSP.

The panel was mounted on to some Emerald Envy cardstock.

The greeting was stamped and embossed in the same way and cut out using a die from the mini treat bag set.

Some additional embellishments were cut using the coordinating thinlit dies. These were glued down behind the banner, which was raised up on dimensionals.

Why I love Stampin’Up

I have recently been asked to share my reasons for joining Stampin’Up.

I have crafted for many years, used a variety of products, and like many Crafters… I lost my creative mojo.

Then I discovered You Tube….and more specifically a lady called Sam!  She was using coordinating punches and stamps. I liked that!  No cutting out!

I kept watching…. The cardstock and ink match too and so does the patterned paper.

Now I’m thinking this is genius, I need some of these products. After ordering as a customer…  Several times…. I looked into joining. I could then get a discount and maybe think about making a business at a later stage. No obligation, no need to “sell”. So during Sale-A-Bration 2015, I went for it.

The stamps were very impressive. Great, crisp images everytime.

So now, I get great products at a discount,  rewards for buying and selling, access to a wonderful crafting community, and more recently gained a team member to share my experience and goodies with. And look what we can create!

So easy with the right products.

Pretty Cupcake

Hi Crafters,  welcome to my blog.

I would like to share this “sweet” card with you today.

This has been created using the Sweet Cupcake stamps and dies.

The icing was stamped using Pink Pirouette, (stamped off) for the first layer.

The second layer was also stamped with Pink Pirouette.

The final layer was stamped twice with Blushing Bride.

The base of the cake was stamped in a similar fashion but only using  Crumb Cake ink.

The images were die cut with the coordinating framelits.

The greeting was stamped with Crumb Cake ink, with details added in both pink inks. This was die cut with the banner die from the set.

On a piece of white card,  I  stamped some splatters with all 3 colours as a back drop for the image. This was matted onto Blushing Bride DSP and added to a note card.

The cupcake was layered in the centre of the card with dimensional adhesive, the greeting added below which was creased to create  the look of a banner.

Some Wink of stella glitter finished the design.

Thanks for stopping by.
