When you don’t know what colour to use… Why not try a monochrome look.
This was partly inspired by the Petal Passion DSP which I have used on the background.
The sentiment is taken from a Sale-a-bration set, Happy Wishes. You may choose this with a qualifying order. Check out Sale-a-bration offers here!
I used an old favourite floral set, Falling Flowers and it’s coordinating dies to decorate the top corner of the card.
The flowers were shaped with a stylus and adhered with glue dots. The centers were adorned with Rhinestone jewels. These are self adhesive and so easy to use if you like a bit of extra bling.

This week the Global Design Project has a Case the Designer challenge. This was created by Krista Frattin. You can see what the design team created here.
And this is what I have created:
The background on the original uses DSP, which I have also pulled in to my design. This paper is black and white, but I coloured the flowers with Stampin’ Blends.
The centrepiece uses the pretty florals from the Petal Palette stamp set. The images were stamped with Memento ink and coloured with Blends.
Coordinating dies were used to cut the images. One was adhered flat whilst the other was raised on dimensionals.
A piece of ribbon was added along the bottom, also inspired by the example card.
A pair of little birds were stamped, coloured and die cut. The were added to the flowers.
The example uses the Everyday Label punch to mount the sentiment. I have used this to cut my chosen sentiment from Whisper White card stock. A second label was cut from Pink Pirouette card stock.
Some silver bakers twine was looped underneath the label which is also visible on the original design.
I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.
Tone on tone layers and stamping feature on today’s project.
Tranquil Tide card stock and ink were used to make the card base.
The stamped panel measures 4-3/8 by 3-5/8 inches. The stamp is taken from Snowflake Sentiments. Some Cherry Cobbler double stitched ribbon was added across the bottom.
The Everyday Label was used to cut round a Labels to Love stamp.
Snowflakes from Seasonal Layer were cut from Lemon Lime Twist card stock.

I am so excited to share that I received a special mention for my card entry last week!
This week is a colour challenge! You can see what the design team made here
Today’s design is very simple.
I have used a Crumb Cake card base and added a Stitched square die cut.
The trees from the Carols of Christmas stamp set were cut from Lemon Lime Twist card stock. The were were layered at different heights for son dimension.
The sentiment is from the Oh What Fun set. This was stamped with versamark ink on to Real Red card stock and heat embossed with white powder.
A few rhinestones finishes the card and adds a bit of bling.
Two more retiring stamp sets being put to use to make this card. I have used some different colour combinations too.
To make the stamped background, I have used the large holly design and Very Vanilla card stock.
Emerald Envy and Tranquil Tide created a very rich colour for the leaves. For the berries, I used Berry Burst and Fresh Fig.
The background was matted on to Berry Burst and Emerald Envy card stock. Fresh Fig finely woven ribbon and copper trim were wrapped around this before adhering to the card base.
The sentiment was stamped in Berry Burst ink and also matted on to Berry Burst and Emerald Envy card stock cut with Layering Square dies.
Finally, a bow was tied from Fresh Fig ribbon and added below the sentiment topper.

Today I using this fabulous greeting from the Watercolor Christmas stamp set. The set will be retiring at the end of the year and is currently on sale along with the coordinating card kit.

To make today’s card, I made Whisper White card base. To this I added a 4 inch square of Basic Black card stock, over which I adhered Merry Little Christmas DSP, 3-7/8 inch square.
The sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on to white card stock. The Layering Oval dies were used to cut this and a black Scalloped oval which were layered together.
A Tranquil Tide bow and black rhinestones finish the card.

I have used a Cherry Cobbler card base for today’s project.
A piece of Quilted Christmas DSP was cut to 3-1/2 inches wide and embossed using the Sparkle embossing folder. This was adhered to a Whisper White card layer.
The coordinating dies were used to cut elements from gold foil, Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green card stock. The pieces were made in to the card topper.
A sentiment from the set was stamped on to Cherry Cobbler card stock with versamark ink and heat embossed with gold powder. The ends were cut with the Triple Banner punch.
To make the topper, I have used the coordinating dies to cut Sweet Sugarplum and Whisper White card stock.
Two Starbursts were punched from vellum. One was coloured with a light Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blend marker. These were layered together with some Fast Fuse adhesive.
The die cut star element was added to the vellum pieces with dimensionals.
The card base was stamped first with a sentiment from the Star of Light set using Sweet Sugarplum ink.
The large swirl was stamped in the top portion of the card. The topper was then added to the centre.
Some small stars completed the card.
I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.
Today’s card uses the “little stamps” from the Good Tidings set. I have also used nontraditional colours.
The card base is made from thick Whisper White card stock. A Whisper White card layer was added on to this.
The piece of card stock used for stamping measures 3 by 4-3/4 inches.
The stamps are two-step images. The holly leaves were stamped in Smoky Slate. Where the images overlap, the colour will appear slightly darker.
The berries are stamped with Tempting Turquoise. The first layer was stamped off once first.
The stamped panel was adhered to a piece of Tempting Turquoise card stock, 3-1/8 by 4-7/8 inches.
Some metallic edge ribbon was adhered across the panel before adding to the card base.
The sentiment was stamped with Basic Grey ink and cut with a layering oval. A larger scalloped oval was also cut from Tempting Turquoise card stock. This was added to the card with dimensionals.
A small knot of ribbon finished off the card.
