The coloured panel was mounted on to dome Fresh Fig card stock.

Pear Pizzazz shimmer ribbon was added to the bottom before adhering to an Old Olive card base.

The sentiment from the set was cut with the Tailored Tag punch to create a hexagon. A small bow was added to finish off.

Team Card Swap

Hi there,

I am part of a great Stampin’ Up! team. At each new catalogue launch we take part in a card swap, sharing our ideas with each other.

So now everyone has received their card, I am sharing it with you!

I used the Magical Day bundle.

I started by colouring my dragons with Stampin’ Blends.

The image was die cut with the coordinating framelits. By chance, the image fits perfectly on top of a Starburst punch. This was punched from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper and then mounted on to a Stitched Circle die cut from Soft Sky card stock.

The card base was made using Emerald Envy card stock.

A 2 inch strip of Eastern Palace DSP was wrapped with some vellum and adhered across the centre of the card.

The sentiment was stamped in Emerald Envy ink. A few Calypso Coral enamels shapes pulled the colours together.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Lots of Lupins

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to get more from the Lots of Lavender so I coloured them to look like lupins.

I used Stampin’ Blends to colour the image. The flowers use light Cherry Cobbler and dark Calypso Coral.

Three sets of flowers were coloured, fussy cut and bunched together on to a vellum circle to create a fuller bouquet.

The card base was made with Very Vanilla card stock.

Gold foil DSP from the Bundle of Love collection was layered on to Bermuda Bay card stock.

The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous set and stamped in Bermuda Bay ink.

Some enamel shapes were added to complete the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Myths & Magic #FMS323

Good Morning,

Here’s another Freshly Made Sketches challenge. This week the sketch has been provided by Karren.

You can see what the design team made with this sketch here!

So the big decision was which of the amazing designer series papers to use! I went with Myths and Magic, for some fun and sparkle.

The DSP was trimmed to 1-1/2 by 4-3/4 inch strips. These were then cut at 1-1/4 inch.

The pieces were adhered to a piece of Smoky Slate card stock, measuring 3-1/4 by 5 inches.

An off cut of Smoky Slate card stock was trimmed to 3-3/4 inches and cut in to a banner.

The sentiment from the matching Magical Day stamp set was stamped with Bermuda Bay ink and due cut with the coordinating die.

The unicorn was coloured with Rich Razzleberry watercolour pencil and Wink of Stella.

These elements were added with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Warm My Heart

Hi there Everybody,

I have this dinky little card to share today. I been wanting to use these new narrow note cards for a while. They are so cute, perfect as a “just because”, ” no particular reason” kind of card.

They come in a pack of 20 cards with envelopes, (2-3/4 by 4-7/8 inches, or 7 by 12.5cm), which also makes them a great invitation or place setting card too.

Today, I am using the beautiful set; Lovely Wishes.

The images have been stamped with black ink and coloured with watercolour pencils and a blender pen.

The sentiment was stamped separately and adhered with dimensionals.

Apparently I can’t make anything without dimensionals!!

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online shop below.

Brusho Stencilling

Good Morning!

I thought I would do a little experiment with my stencils.

I wasn’t sure it would work. I thought maybe the water would seep under the stencil and ruin the pattern. But as you can see it worked a treat.

I taped down the stencil over some watercolour paper and spritzed clean water over the top.

With the stencil still in place, the Brusho powder was sprinkled over the design. I used all the colours!

I removed the stencil carefully. Some powder was resting on mostly dry paper, so I added a few extra fine sprays of water to seal all the powder in place.

The piece was allowed to dry completely and cut down to size and adhered to a black card base.

I picked out the Thanks sentiment from the You Move Me stamp set. This was heat embossed with white powder and adhered with dimensionals.

A few perfect white accents were added to finish the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Honey Bear #GDP123

Hi All,

Wednesday means Global Design Project! It’s a theme challenge this week… New Beginnings! You can see what the design team created here!

It just so happens I have been asked to make a new baby card for a friend of mine.

I have used the beautiful A Little Wild stamp set.

The background was made with the Bundle of Love DSP.

Before adhering the layers, I die cut a circle to create an aperture. A piece of window sheet was sandwiched between the DSP and then added to the card base.

The little bear was stamped in Memento ink and coloured with Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Blend markers.

The front of the bear was adhered to the card with dimensionals. The back was then added to the back with Fast Fuse.

The sentiment was stamped and cut with a 1 inch punch and layered on to a 1-1/8 inch scalloped circle.

I decided to add “congratulations” which I took from the Petal Palette stamp set. I cut this to a banner and adhered it under the little bear’s feet.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

They have been stamped with Memento ink and then coloured with Stampin’ Blend markers.

I added the sentiment with Island Indigo ink.

A Soft Sky card base was stamped with some leaves along the edges before adhering the stamped panel.

One of a Kind

Hi there,

I have finally got round to colouring in this lovely mermaid from the Magical Day stamp set.

I have used my Stampin’ Blends. You may notice that I have blended Old Olive with Pool Party for a different look.

To make the card, I have added some turquoise glimmer paper to a Pool Party card base.

The design was built on to a vellum layer. First, some Lemon Lime Twist card was cut with a die from the Petal Passion suite.

The sentiment was stamped with Pacific Point ink for some contrast.

Adhesive was applied behind these elements to hide it from the front.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Celebrate #FMS321

This week’s sketch is provided by Jen B. See what she and the rest of the design team have created here!

I opted to stay with the three flowers. Mine are from the Amazing You Sale-a-bration stamp set.

These were stamped with Memento ink, coloured with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends and then fussy cut.

The sentiment was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink and made in to a banner. A second banner was cut from Cherry Cobbler card stock.

The card base was made with Cherry Cobbler card stock with a layer of DSP from the Tutti-Frutti stack.

The other elements were adhered with dimensionals. Some clear Wink of Stella was added to the flowers and a few rhinestones break up the background.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Awesome Brusho

Good Morning,

I’ve been doing some “messy crafting” for today’s project.

On some watercolour paper, I stamped the headphones and sentiment from the Epic Celebration Sale-a-bration set using Archival ink.

Once the ink was completely dry, I spritzed some plain clear water over the top. Some Red and Blue Brusho crystals were sprinkled into the water.

The colour spreads an runs where the paper is wet.

The piece was then dried with a heat gun

Stampin’ Blends were used to colour the headphones for additional contrast.

Finally, some sparkle was added by flicking the pen nib.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below. Just click the pictures to be taken straight to the store.

Timeless Thank You

Good Morning,

I am revisiting some old Stampin’ favourites today.

Timeless Textures is a great set to break the crafting blues.

I don’t often use Very Vanilla, but I was going for a vintage look.

The splatters on the background were stamped with Sahara Sand for a soft texture. The flowers were then stamped over the top with Soft Suede ink.

Sahara Sand and Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write markers were used to colour the image.

The sentiment Thank you was stamped with Old Olive ink and cut with the new 1-1/8 scallop punch. A 1-3/8 punch was used to cut some Old Olive card stock.

Some linen thread completed the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Magical Day

Good Morning!

I have the great pleasure of joining my crafting friends in the first InspirINK blog hop for 2018.

There’s lots of inspiration to be found for our January theme… Sparkle, Shimmer and Shine!

I just had to use the Magical Day stamp set.

The focal point uses the wonderful unicorn which was stamped in black ink. The mane and tail were coloured with Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry watercolour pencils, a touch of Daffodil Delight coloured the horn and a hint if Basic Grey to shade the body. Clear Wink of Stella added some magical shimmer!

My sparkles came from some Glimmer paper which I cut with the Starburst punch. I adhered this to a vellum circle that I coloured with a Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blend marker.

I prepared a white card base and cut some silver foil to add some shine! To tie in the colour scheme, I also coloured this with the Stampin’ Blend marker.

The unicorn was added to a white card stock layer and adhered to the card base.

Two additional pieces of white card stock were cut with the cloud border die from the Sunshine and Rainbows bundle. These were adhered together with Fast Fuse.

The sentiment was stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink on to a strip of vellum. Because the ink doesn’t dry straight away, there is time to apply some clear embossing powder and heat set the ink.

The vellum was added to the cloud layers and then to the card with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Lidded Treat Box

Good Morning,

I made this box to hold nine Ferrero or Lindor chocolates.

The card stock used measures 10-1/4 inches square. The base is made with Powder Pink card, whilst the lid is Berry Burst.

Score the base at 1-1/2 and 3 inches.

The lid is scored at the same measurements, but using a shim of card stock along the left hand side bar. This will ensure the lid will fit over the base.

Three flowers from the Beautiful Day stamp set were added to the lid using matching ink.

To cut the tabs, remove the three outer squares. Notch out the lose edges.

Fast Fuse was added to the outside of the small tabs. The corners were folded up. The side panels were then folded in and secured with Fast Fuse.

On the lid, the 1/2 inch circle punch was used to make finger notches.

Berry Burst metallic edge ribbon was added to the lid of the box and secured with glue dots.

The flower on top was coloured with Stampin’ Blend markers and adhered using dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Two of You Together #GDP120

This week the Global Design Project has a Case the Designer challenge. This was created by Krista Frattin. You can see what the design team created here.

And this is what I have created:

The background on the original uses DSP, which I have also pulled in to my design. This paper is black and white, but I coloured the flowers with Stampin’ Blends.

The centrepiece uses the pretty florals from the Petal Palette stamp set. The images were stamped with Memento ink and coloured with Blends.

Coordinating dies were used to cut the images. One was adhered flat whilst the other was raised on dimensionals.

A piece of ribbon was added along the bottom, also inspired by the example card.

A pair of little birds were stamped, coloured and die cut. The were added to the flowers.

The example uses the Everyday Label punch to mount the sentiment. I have used this to cut my chosen sentiment from Whisper White card stock. A second label was cut from Pink Pirouette card stock.

Some silver bakers twine was looped underneath the label which is also visible on the original design.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Always Thinking of You

Hi Everyone,

This beautiful butterfly is the star of the show on this card.

The image was stamped on to Whisper White card stock with Memento ink and allowed to dry completely.

I used Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers to colour the image. Markers are available as a complete set, (12 plus bronze, ivory and a colour lifter), as a combo set, ( light and dark shades of a particular colour), or individually, allowing you to collect markers to suit your crafting.

Each section of the image was coloured separately.

The colours used were Light Pool Party, Dark Pool Party and Light Bermuda Bay. Each colour was blended into the previous creating a soft gradient of shading.

The layer was adhered to a Pool Party card base.

The sentiment is also from the set. This was stamped in black and added to the card using mini dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Appreciation

Good Morning!

How cute is this little fellow?

This is from an amazing new stamp set in the Spring Summer catalogue called Bird Banter.

I used Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the greeting and the toucan.

The toucan was coloured with watercolour pencils and blender pens.

I added foliage from the set with Old Olive ink and coloured the leaves with watercolour pencil.

The base card is made from Garden Green card stock, which I embossed with a new embossing folder from the Petal Palette Suite.

Some Striped Lemon Lime Twist ribbon was zigzagged across the back of the stamped panel before adhering to the card base with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.
