Colourful Birthday Card with Sketched Butterflies!

Hello Everyone,

I’m sharing this sweet card today. The brief was to make something colourful, so I have pulled out the happy 2024 In Colours.

The coordinating 6×6 designer series paper was cut to 3 inches, and then I took ½inch strips and added to a piece of Basic White cardstock.

This was layered with Basic Black cardstock and added to a card base.

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial….

Butterflies were stamped and die cut and added to the corresponding strip.

The sentiment was added at the bottom with black ink.

Inspire Create Challenge #166 – Something New!

Hello Everyone,

Today’s card is made for the latest Inspire Create Challenge Design Team!

For Challenge #166 everyone is using the theme of “Something New”!

You can see the other design team projects and take part in the challenge by clicking below!

I have used a selection of new products that will be available to purchase in May!

I’m picked out two new die bundles, Flowers of Beauty and Unbounded Love, to use with a fantastic new 3D embossing folder and new colours too!

You can see how I made it in my You Tube video tutorial…

The embossing folder is huge so it can be used for larger cards, or creating multiple panels in one go.

Using a Basic Beige card base gives the white die cuts more impact.

I love the Unbounded Love dies, these can used as a stand alone set with any of your existing stamp sets.

Here’s an alternative design using a Basic White card base and Basic Beige die cuts!

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Introducing the New Stampin’ Up! Colours

Hello Everyone,

Today I’m bringing you sneaky perks at some upcoming products that will be available to customers in May when the new Annual Catalogue goes live!

We have 5 new In Colours (left to right);

  • Peach Pie
  • Shy Shamrock
  • Summer Splash
  • Pretty in Pink
  • Petunia Pop

I used a new 3D embossing folder too, this is called Eyelet. I added coordinating ink to create an ombre look to the background.

I used the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set and punch for the sentiment.

There is a stunning die cut peeking out from behind the sentiment banner… I am going to be using these dies a lot I suspect! 😂

The In Colour ribbon is lovely and soft and ties into a bow very easily.

We have another colour joining the core range too…. Basic Beige! Sounds boring? I know…. But this is going to be so versatile… I think I’ll need to get another pack!

And look how beautifully it goes with Early Espresso!

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Those of you who follow me regularly will know this is not my usual style of crafting, but I have had a go at making a paper bag mini album.

I’ve used a mix of retiring and newer products to make my project today.

The 2023 In Colour Treat bags form the body of the album. These ones are Boho Blue.

The stamping has been done with Boho Blue and Starry Sky inks… These colours go together so well!

I recently discovered the Of Art & Texture stamp set… Love it!

You can see how I made the album in my video tutorial… It’s a longer video but I hope you enjoy it.

Here’s a view of the inside. Journalling panels were added to the pages, decorated with the same stamping and ink blending for a coordinated look.

Measurements (inches):

  • Front/Back Cover – 4⅞ x 6⅛
  • Spine – 4⅞ x 1¾, score each side at ½ inch
  • Journalling Panels – 4½ x 5¾
  • Front Panel – 4¾ x 6

I also rounded the corners. You can of course add additional layers as you would like.

This sample was made using Wild Wheat and Early Espresso, bring in the Petal Park stamps instead of Colour and Contour, (both sets are retiring)

The panels on the inside were layered on to the darker cardstock (I completely forgot on the blue version)

Neutrals Card featuring Planted Paradise!

Hello Everyone,

I’m having another bash at using the Planted Paradise stamp set today. No dies to go with this so if you want dimension, it’s fussy cutting! ✂️

I’ve used (mostly) Neutrals for this card – I did seek in a little Old Olive for some contrast.

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial…

Don’t forget to check out the online exclusives in the Stampin’ Up! store… These embossing folders are new!

Here’s another idea with same stamp set and the retiring In Colours…. So fun and bright!

Circle punches are available as online exclusives and layer together perfectly.

Here is Copper Clay and Wild Wheat.

And finally, this is Boho Blue.

I think they look great together as a collection!

The coordinating embellishments are really pretty and catch the light so well.

Inspire.Create.Challenge #139 – Sketch Challenge!

Hello Everyone,

Today’s card is made for the latest Inspire Create Challenge!

Challenge #139 is a Sketch – a layout suggestion to create the card. This isn’t in keeping with my usual style but I’m giving it a try!

You can see the design team projects and take part in the challenge by clicking below!

I have used the fabulous In Colours for my project today.

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial….

I have tried to stick to the sketch as closely as possible so I used the Heart Punch Pack to cut layers of vellum and cardstock.

The strips for the background are embossed / debossed and added to the Basic White panel at an angle.

For the original card the strips were tone on tone stamped and the sentiment was heat embossed.

What is your favourite In Colour?

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Loved Always

Hello Everyone,

Super pleased with this clean and simple card.

I’ve used Seaside Spray as the main colour but really like the pop of gold glimmer paper.

Rectangle dies were used the make the background layers.

Four medium daisies were stamped and punched. Two daisies were adhered together and then to the card.

Vellum leaves and gold sprigs were added behind the petals.

Seaside Spray ink was used to stamp the sentiment. This was cut with a Stitched Rectangle die to match the background layers.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

See what the Design Team have created with the sketch here

And this is my interpretation of the sketch. I love how it turned out.

The card base was made with Powder Pink card stock. The front was embossed with the Petal Burst embossing folder.

Stitched Rectangle Framelits were used to build the topper. Powder Pink ribbon was tied around the first two layers.

The third later was adhered with dimensionals. Nine Bitty Blooms were punched and added to the card. A rhinestone was placed in each of the centres.

A final rectangle was used to cut a sentiment that was stamped with Berry Burst ink.

Inspire.Create #016

Good Morning!

This week the Inspire.Create design team are celebrating the 2016-2018 In Colours that will be retiring in June.

You can see their beautiful designs here!

And here are my projects;

I have used the You Move Me stamp and die bundle – also retiring – and really love how they turned out.

The card bases were cut to 4 inches and scored at 5-7/8 inches. Whisper White card stock was adhered to the front.

Five Stitched squares were die cut from white card. These were then cut again with the decorative butterfly die and adhered to a scalloped square cut from each of the In Colour card stocks.

Five additional butterflies were cut from white card stock. The wings were shaped with a bone folder and adhered to the scalloped square topper.

The sentiment was stamped in coordinating ink at the bottom of each card. I used my grid paper to line up each one.

The topper was adhered to the card with dimensionals.

Finally, three rhinestone gems were added to each of the butterfly bodies.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

A small bow was tied and added to the card with glue dots.
