Being You #GDP107

Good Morning,

I am joining in the Global Design Project Challenge again.

This week is a theme challenge. Click here to see what the design team created.

Here is my project.

inkybutterfly: Copper embossed Hello Friend card for Global Design Project #107

I have made use of the Hello Friend stamp set.

From Whisper White card stock, I created a card base and cut two card layers, 4 by 5-3/4 and 3-1/2 by 4-3/4 inches.

On the larger piece, I used Pear Pizzazz ink to stamp the decorative image in two corners. This was adhered flat to the card base.

The smaller layer was rubbed over with an embossing buddy. The wreath was stamped in versamark ink and heat embossed with copper powder.

Some Pear Pizzazz Shimmer ribbon was wrapped around and adhered to the card with dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink and die cut. This was positioned on top of the ribbon, with loops of copper metallic thread behind it.

To complete the card, I added a small bow and rhinestones.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Missing You

inkybutterfly: Oh So Eclectic

Hi there,

The Oh So Eclectic Suite is truly beautiful. The stamp set and the Designer Series Paper are currently on special offer, check them out in the shop.

The patterned paper has dictated the colour scheme today. Fresh Fig and Lemon Lime Twist – so vibrant.

The card base is made from Fresh Fig card stock. Lemon Lime Twist card stock was cut to 5-3/4 by 3-1/4 inches. DSP was cut to 5-3/4 by 3 inches. These were layered together with snail adhesive down the centre of the card base.

On to some Whisper White card stock, I stamped three flower images, stamping ink off on to scrap paper once first. These ere die cut with the matching thinlits.

I also die cut the detailed flowers from Fresh Fig card stock, and layered these on to the stamped flowers with tombow glue.

I also stamped and die cut some leaves. The sentiment was cut with the Classic Label punch.

The decorative elements were arranged onto a vellum circle, then adhered this to the card base.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Coffee Anyone?

inkybutterfly: Simple card made with the Coffee Break suite from Stampin' UP!

Good Morning!

Here is some inspiration on how to use the Coffee Cafe stamp set and coordinating Coffee Break designer paper. Both items are included in the current Stampin’ UP! promotions. Visit the shop to see what’s on offer.

I have started with a Whisper White card made in my usual way.

I usually cut large layer for my card, but I have changed things up a bit for this project. The Early Espresso layer is 3-1/2 by 5-1/4 and the DSP is 3-1/8 by 4-7/8

Some Soft Sky ribbon and Old Olive bakers twine was added before adhering to the card base.

The coffee cup was stamped with Crumb Cake ink, the sentiment with Pear Pizzazz and cut out.

This was added to a Stitched Circle die cut and then adhered to the card with dimensionals.

I hope enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

I know Autumn is here and the nights are drawing in, but I thought I would bring some sunshine in to the craft room.

I have used a small stamp from the Christmas Quilt set the make the background. The colours used were Sweet Sugarplum, Lemon Lime Twist and Peekaboo Peach.

I adhered this panel to a Lemon Lime Twist card base.

The word “sunshine” was die cut from black card stock. The “hello” is from the Sunshine Sayings set was stamped in black ink. A small bow was tied from black bakers twine.

Colour Your World – September

Good Morning,

Today’s project is my my take on the Colour Your World challenge. You can see what the design team made by visiting the blog hop starting here

The colours this month are:

This is what I came up with.

I have used the Wood Words stamp set.

The card base is made with Berry Burst card stock. I used the distressed circle from the set to stamp over the background.

A piece of Whisper White was cut to 3 1/2 by 4 3/4 inches. The floral stamp was used to decorate the bottom half of the card with Tangerine Tango ink. A piece of Tranquil Tide ribbon was attached across the middle.

The white layer was matted on to a piece a So Saffron card stock. I added this to the card base with dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Berry Burst ink and cut in some pennant ends. I attached this to a matching So Saffron banner. I added this with dimensionals.

To finish, I tied a knot of extra ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Falling Leaves

Good Morning,

I am really enjoying this week of challenges. It has really helped me explore other ways to craft.

Today, it is The Joy of Sets Monthly Facebook Colour Challenge. Blue.

This is my entry.

I started with Whisper White card base. I added a piece of Dapper Denim Colour Theory designer paper.

The sentiment was stamped in Dapper Denim ink and cut with the Pretty Label punch. I layered this on to a scalloped square. This was adhered in the bottom corner with dimensionals.

I then used the great leaf stamps in the Colourful Seasons set to embellish the background. The large leaf was stamped with coordinating ink, the smaller leaf was stamped stamped in clear versamark ink. I also added a few tiny details from the same set.

I love how this card turned out, so I made up the other colours too.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

The white layer was cut to 4 inches wide and then die cut with the Card Front Builder die set.

Some Island Indigo ombre ribbon was attached across the centre.

The flowers were stamped above and below the ribbon.

Fresh as a Daisy. #GDP106

Hi Everyone,

Today I am having a go at the Global Design Project, #GDP106. You can see what the design team came up with here.

This week is a sketch challenge.

I made the card base from Fresh Fig card stock and added Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper.

I cut another Whisper White layer slightly smaller. To this I added a 2 1/2 inch piece of Fresh Floral DSP to the bottom.

Before adhering to the card, I used a scalloped circle die to create an aperture.

I stamped Daisy Delight three times on to some vellum, and added clear embossing powder. The flowers were layered together with glue dots. A clear faceted gem was placed in the centre, and adhered to the card with a dimensional.

The sentiment from the set was stamped on to the banner in versamark ink and heat embossed with white powder. A small bow was tied from Whisper White sheer ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

I used Calypso Coral ink and the Timeless Textures stamp set to create some interest on the background.

I punched a Basic Grey Starburst and a Whisper White Pretty Label.

The sentiment is from the All Things Thanks stamp set. I have added this to the card with dimensionals.

A small bow made with Calypso Coral ombre ribbon finishes the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Your Kindness

Hello Everyone,

I thought I would try the white on white look for today’s project.

From Whisper White card stock I cut:

Card base, card layer, a stitched circle, Starburst punch, two Leaf punches, three Daisy punches.

Some white sheer ribbon was wrapped around the card layer and adhered to the card base with dimensionals.

On the Starburst, I stamped the sentiment from Painted Harvest with versamark ink. This was heat embossed with silver powder.

I added this to the stitched circle and then on to a scalloped circle cut from glimmer paper. This was added to the card with dimensionals.

The three daisies were shaped and adhered together with glue dots. A clear faceted gem was put in the centre. The completed flower and leaves were added to the card. Finally, a few rhinestones finished off the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

For You

Hello!

Here’s a clean, simple and feminine, nontraditional Christmas card for today’s project.

I have used Flirty Flamingo card stock to make the card base, and cut a white card layer in my usual style.

Some Flirty Flamingo bakers twine was wrapped around the card in both directions.

The sentiment is from Merry Little Labels and was stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink. I cut this out with the coordinating Everyday Label punch.

I layered the sentiment label onto a Flirty Flamingo Starburst, (punch shape), and then on to a silver foiled snowflake. This was added to the card with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Tranquil Christmas

Good Morning,

Two of my favourite products from the Autumn Winter catalogue have come together on today’s project.

The card base is made from Thick Whisper White card stock, cut and scored in the usual way.

Two card layers were cut from Basic Black and Tranquil Tide card stock.

Using Tranquil Tide ink, I stamped an image from Touches of Texture to add interest. I adhered this to the black layer and on to the card.

I created some loops of silver metallic thread and fastened these down with Fast Fuse.

A Foiled Snowflake was positioned on the card with dimensionals.

The greeting was stamped in Tranquil Tide ink using the Labels to Love stamp set. This was cut with the coordinating Everyday Label punch. I added this with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Spring Greens

Hi there,

Welcome to week three of this month’s Pootler’s Design Team. September is flying by!

The featured stamp set is Flirty Flowers.

The card base was made with Lemon Lime Twist card stock. I never thought I was gonna like this colour – but I LOVE it!

On a white card layer, I stamped the large grassy image with Garden Green ink. I also have some coming down from the top.

The sentiment was also stamped in Garden Green and cut with a Stitched Circle framelit. This layered on to an Old Olive circle, and then a Garden Green scalloped circle.

Some Natural Trim in silver was sandwiched between the layers and the added across the card.

Very simple but so beautiful.

I hope you enjoyed this project. Laurie, Jill, Tracy and Julie are also sharing projects today, please visit their pages using the links at pootles.co.uk

Simply Hooray

Good Morning,

Something simple but bright for today’s project.

I have used an old favourite, Watercolour Words, though when I opened the set I realised I have never used this lovely abstract flower.

Starting at the bottom, I used Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and finally, So Saffron.

I intentionally left a space towards the top supposedly for a sentiment but I changed my mind.

But rather than starting over, I added some Whisper White sheer ribbon, (totally gorgeous), instead.

The “hooray” was stamped with Tempting Turquoise as a contrast to the other warm colours. I also added a scattering of glitter enamels dots.

I hope you enjoyed this project, the supplies used are listed and linked below.

Thanks for stopping by. Tomorrow’s post will be a Pootler’s Design Team edition – don’t miss it!

Snowflake Duo

Good Morning,

Another seasonal project for you today. This card uses product from both the Annual catalogue and the Autumn Winter catalogue.

For the blue/silver card:

The card base was made with Soft Sky, (quite possibly my most favourite colour).

On a white card layer I stamped snowflakes from the Flurry of Wishes stamp set in Soft Sky ink.

The sentiment was stamped with versamark ink and heat set with silver embossing powder. This was cut with the Starburst punch, (also one of my favourites).

I attached the sentiment to a foiled snowflake doily with dimensionals.

I added some Soft Sky ribbon across the white layer and added the doily on top. This was all adhered to the card base with Fast Fuse.

For the purple/gold card:

I didn’t have enough Elegant Eggplant card stock to make the card base so I used Very Vanilla instead. As a result I have two card layers on this version.

The remaining steps are the same, but used Wisteria Wonder ink, gold embossing powder, gold doily & metallic edge ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online shop below.

Bike Ride

Hi there,

This is the first project I have made with this stamp set so this is a bit of an experiment.

The bicycle is made up from three stamps, the frame, tyres and wheel rims. These were stamped with Crushed Curry and Smokey Slate ink. The saddle, pedal and handles were filled in with Island Indigo ink.

These elements, along with the basket and rear rack, were die cut with the matching framelits and assembled with glue dots.

The background was ink blended using Soft Sky and Sahara Sand. The grass was stamped using an image from the Fabulous Flamingo set.

I wrapped some Island Indigo Ombre Ribbon and Copper Trim around the bottom before adhering this to an Island Indigo card base.

The sentiment was taken from Sunshine Sayings and stamped with Crushed Curry ink. Both this and the bicycle were adhered to the card with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project, the supplies used are listed and linked to the online shop below.

Beautiful Season

I have the great pleasure of joining my fellow team members in this wonderful blog hop.

Everyone will be sharing projects they have created with products from the Autumn Winter catalogue that launched at the beginning of the month.

There’s plenty of inspiration to be had, I hope you enjoy it.

My project features the Snowflake Sentiments bundle.

To create the background, I first stamped the larger snowflake in versamark ink. These were heat set with clear embossing powder.

I then sponged over the piece with Pool Party ink. The embossing powder resists the ink, leaving the snowflakes white. Allow this to completely dry.

The second snowflake stamp was then stamped with versamark ink and heat set with clear powder.

Once again, I sponged over the piece. First, I used Marina Mist ink, allowing it to blend. This revealed Pool Party snowflakes.

I then added a touch of Dapper Denim to the edge creating an ombre effect.

The decorative edge was created with the coordinating dies. Both were cut from Whisper White card stock and adhered along the left hand side of the panel.

The card base was made from Dapper Denim card stock.

I added a sentiment from the Hearts Come Home stamp set, and some rhinestones for some winter sparkle.
