Hearts Come Home – Stampin' with inkybutterfly

Hi there Everyone,

Today, I am joining in with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. There are some great ideas from the design team.

This is my card.

I created a square card base by folding a 10 by 5 inch piece of card stock in half.

The black card stock panel measured 4 inches square, the corners were rounded. To this, I added some Merry Little Christmas DSP.

Real Red solid ribbon was adhered to the card base. The panel was added over the top using dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Real Red ink and matted on black card. A few black rhinestones add some bling.

Beautiful Season

Good Morning,

I am using another great colour combination today.

I have used an Emerald Envy card base for this project.

The central panels are (inches):

Cherry Cobbler: 5-1/8 by 3-3/8

Lemon Lime Twist: 5 by 3-1/4

Whisper White: 4-3/4 by 3

The little houses from Hearts Come Home were stamped across the centre in Cherry Cobbler ink. The trees were added with Emerald Envy and Lemon Line Twist inks. I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure these were straight.

The sentiment, also from this set, was added to the bottom with Emerald Envy ink. The centre panel was adhered to the card base with dimensionals.

Merry and Bright

Good Morning,

A couple of weeks ago I made a card for the Global Design Project using Old Olive, Basic Black and Gold.

I have revisited the layout I used for that project to make 2 cards, this time using Merry Little Christmas designer series paper.

Card bases were A4 cut at 4-1/8 and scored at 5-7/8

DSP cut to 4 by 5-3/4 and 3 by 4-3/4

Card stock cut to 3-1/8 by 4-7/8

The sentiment is taken from the Hearts Come Home stamp set. This was stamped in versamark and heat embossed with gold powder, then die cut using a Stitched Shape framelit.

Shimmer Ribbon was used to make the bows which were added with a glue dot.

…So She Did!

Hi there,

Had a bit of fun with this card design.

I started by stamping and colouring little miss piggy on to a piece of Whisper White card stock.

She looked a bit lonely in the air all by herself, so I thought I would add some perspective with some distant houses. These were borrowed from the Hearts Come Home stamp set.

I created a hill by drawing round a small bowl with a journalling pen. I then cut a simple paper mask which allowed me to stamp the houses on the hill.

I decided she needed some clouds in the sky with her too, and a bit of sparkle on her wings…it is a magical pig after all!

Beautiful Season

I have the great pleasure of joining my fellow team members in this wonderful blog hop.

Everyone will be sharing projects they have created with products from the Autumn Winter catalogue that launched at the beginning of the month.

There’s plenty of inspiration to be had, I hope you enjoy it.

My project features the Snowflake Sentiments bundle.

To create the background, I first stamped the larger snowflake in versamark ink. These were heat set with clear embossing powder.

I then sponged over the piece with Pool Party ink. The embossing powder resists the ink, leaving the snowflakes white. Allow this to completely dry.

The second snowflake stamp was then stamped with versamark ink and heat set with clear powder.

Once again, I sponged over the piece. First, I used Marina Mist ink, allowing it to blend. This revealed Pool Party snowflakes.

I then added a touch of Dapper Denim to the edge creating an ombre effect.

The decorative edge was created with the coordinating dies. Both were cut from Whisper White card stock and adhered along the left hand side of the panel.

The card base was made from Dapper Denim card stock.

I added a sentiment from the Hearts Come Home stamp set, and some rhinestones for some winter sparkle.

Christmas Trees

So today’s project demonstrates how just a few supplies can create great looking cards.

I created a card base from Cherry Cobbler card stock and cut a white card layer.

Using some green inks, I stamped over the card layer with the 2 tree stamps from the Hearts Come Home stamp set.

The sentiment was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink and adhered to a matching card stock banner.

Extremely easy to put together.

The card base is made with Elegant Eggplant card stock.

I used the tiny star stamp and white Craft ink pad to create the skyscape.

The die was used to cut into one of my usual card layers. There are three dies in the set. Any of them could be used to create this scene.

The sentiment was stamped in Elegant Eggplant ink.
