Simply Hooray

Good Morning,

Something simple but bright for today’s project.

I have used an old favourite, Watercolour Words, though when I opened the set I realised I have never used this lovely abstract flower.

Starting at the bottom, I used Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and finally, So Saffron.

I intentionally left a space towards the top supposedly for a sentiment but I changed my mind.

But rather than starting over, I added some Whisper White sheer ribbon, (totally gorgeous), instead.

The “hooray” was stamped with Tempting Turquoise as a contrast to the other warm colours. I also added a scattering of glitter enamels dots.

I hope you enjoyed this project, the supplies used are listed and linked below.

Snowflake Duo

Good Morning,

Another seasonal project for you today. This card uses product from both the Annual catalogue and the Autumn Winter catalogue.

For the blue/silver card:

The card base was made with Soft Sky, (quite possibly my most favourite colour).

On a white card layer I stamped snowflakes from the Flurry of Wishes stamp set in Soft Sky ink.

The sentiment was stamped with versamark ink and heat set with silver embossing powder. This was cut with the Starburst punch, (also one of my favourites).

I attached the sentiment to a foiled snowflake doily with dimensionals.

I added some Soft Sky ribbon across the white layer and added the doily on top. This was all adhered to the card base with Fast Fuse.

For the purple/gold card:

I didn’t have enough Elegant Eggplant card stock to make the card base so I used Very Vanilla instead. As a result I have two card layers on this version.

The remaining steps are the same, but used Wisteria Wonder ink, gold embossing powder, gold doily & metallic edge ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online shop below.

Bike Ride

Hi there,

This is the first project I have made with this stamp set so this is a bit of an experiment.

The bicycle is made up from three stamps, the frame, tyres and wheel rims. These were stamped with Crushed Curry and Smokey Slate ink. The saddle, pedal and handles were filled in with Island Indigo ink.

These elements, along with the basket and rear rack, were die cut with the matching framelits and assembled with glue dots.

The background was ink blended using Soft Sky and Sahara Sand. The grass was stamped using an image from the Fabulous Flamingo set.

I wrapped some Island Indigo Ombre Ribbon and Copper Trim around the bottom before adhering this to an Island Indigo card base.

The sentiment was taken from Sunshine Sayings and stamped with Crushed Curry ink. Both this and the bicycle were adhered to the card with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project, the supplies used are listed and linked to the online shop below.

Beautiful Season

I have the great pleasure of joining my fellow team members in this wonderful blog hop.

Everyone will be sharing projects they have created with products from the Autumn Winter catalogue that launched at the beginning of the month.

There’s plenty of inspiration to be had, I hope you enjoy it.

My project features the Snowflake Sentiments bundle.

To create the background, I first stamped the larger snowflake in versamark ink. These were heat set with clear embossing powder.

I then sponged over the piece with Pool Party ink. The embossing powder resists the ink, leaving the snowflakes white. Allow this to completely dry.

The second snowflake stamp was then stamped with versamark ink and heat set with clear powder.

Once again, I sponged over the piece. First, I used Marina Mist ink, allowing it to blend. This revealed Pool Party snowflakes.

I then added a touch of Dapper Denim to the edge creating an ombre effect.

The decorative edge was created with the coordinating dies. Both were cut from Whisper White card stock and adhered along the left hand side of the panel.

The card base was made from Dapper Denim card stock.

I added a sentiment from the Hearts Come Home stamp set, and some rhinestones for some winter sparkle.

All in a Row

Hey folks,

Today I have combined some great bright pastel colours to create this project.

The card base is made from Peekaboo Peach card stock. A white card layer measuring 4 by 5 3/4 inches was adhered to this.

Lemon Lime Twist card was cut 1/4 inch smaller.

The images were stamped on to a piece of Whisper White 3 5/8 by 5 3/8 inches.

I drew a light pencil line one inch from the bottom edge, then stamped the stems in Lemon Lime Twist ink.

The flowers were added to each stem in Flirty Flamingo ink, and filled in with Powder Pink ink.

I adhered this to the Lemon Lime Twist card stock and added the striped ribbon.

The sentiment was stamped with Peekaboo Peach ink.

The stamped panel was then added to the card base with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Tomorrow’s post will be part of a team blog hop. Everyone participating is sharing their creations with the new catalogue products. Be sure to hop along!

Poppies

Hi there,

Welcome to week 2 of this months Pootler’s Design Team projects.

The featured stamp set is Flirty Flowers, and today I am using the lovely poppy image.

I have stuck with the traditional red poppy colour and with some careful selective inking, manage to stamp the stalks. I used Real Red and Wild Wasabi inks.

The white layer was matted on to Cherry Cobbler card stock.

Some beautiful white sheer ribbon was tied around before adding to a Crumb Cake card base.

The sentiment has been taken from Sunshine Sayings. I was thinking about Remembrance Day and the message it brings. This was cut with the smallest scalloped square from the Layering Squares framelit set, and then added with a dimensional.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Pretty in Pink

Good Morning,

I do love the Daisy Delight stamp set and matching punch. Quick and beautiful results every time.

The card base is made from Pink Pirouette card stock. The tiny daisy motif was added along both long edges with matching ink. It’s subtle but gives it a little something.

The white layer is narrower than usual, just 2 3/4 inches wide. This was stamped with a motif from the Dare to Dream hostess set.

The sentiment is from Daisy Delight and stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink. This was adhered flat to the card base.

I stamped the daisy twice and punched these plus a plain white one. These were shaped using a ball tool and foam mat, then layered together with glue dots.

I used the new punch to cut sine leaves from Colour Theory DSP.

The elements were arranged on the card and some white enamel accents finish it off.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online shop below.

Christmas Feeling

Good Morning,

Today’s project features the ghhgfh stamp set.

There are two large images in the set. The first, I used to create an interesting effect on a card layer. I randomly stamped with Pear Pizzazz and Wild Wasabi ink. I mat and layered this on to Lemon Lime Twist card stock and then on to a Tranquil Tide card base.

The main image was stamped in Archival Black ink. This was coloured with watercolour pencils and blender pens.

The wording from the same set, was stamped with Calypso Coral ink.

Thankful

Good Morning!

Another beautiful layering set from Stampin’ UP! This is Painted Harvest.

To create the background, the flowers were stamped with So Saffron and Crumb Cake ink.

An additional flower was made by stamping the first layer with Crushed Curry ink, then the second layer in Tangerine Tango. This was fussy cut to create an embellishment.

Leaves were stamped with Pear Pizzazz ink and cut with the coordinating punch.

Before assembling the card, a sentiment was stamped with Cajun Craze ink.

The flower and leaves were added to the background and then adhered to a Tangerine Tango card base.

Finally, I added a few Glitter Enamel Dots and a spattering of Wink of Stellar to add some sparkle.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are linked below.

Awesome

Hello there,

So who said flamingos had to be pink? I love how this turned out.

I have used this stamp before, with a very similar design and traditional pink colours.

The bird has been stamped in Soft Sky, Marina Mist and Night of Navy ink.

Pear Pizzazz and Bermuda Bay were used for the water.

The scenery was built up with Pear Pizzazz, Wild Wasabi and Old Olive inks.

For some contrast, Fresh Fig card stock was used to make the card base. I used the same ink for the sentiment.

Red and Black

Hi there,

I have the very great pleasure of being on the Pootlers Design Team for the month of September.

Please be sure to stop by my friends’ posts too. You will find the links to these other fantastic projects at http://www.pootles.co.uk

The featured stamp set is Flirty Flowers from the annual catalogue.

I have adapted a design I used a couples of weeks ago, which I really liked.

The card base is made from black card stock. A Cherry Cobbler card layer was cut to 4 by 5 3/4 inches.

A piece of Whisper White measuring 3 7/8 by 5 5/8 inches was used for the stamping. Basic Black and Real Red inks were used to stamp the flowers, leaving 2 inches blank at the top.

Cherry Cobbler Stitched Ribbon was added across the card stock and then adhered to the Cherry Cobbler card layer. This was added to the card base.

The sentiment was stamped in Real Red ink and cut with a Stitched Shape framelit. Layering Squares were then used to cut black and red layers.

These were adhered together with Fast Fuse and added to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finally, I added some bling with some Basic Rhinestones.

I hope you enjoyed this project. Thanks for stopping by and happy stampin’!

Good Morning!

A card to make the turn if the weather this week, autumn is on its way!

On a piece of Crumb Cake, I used versamark ink to stamp leaves from the Colorful Seasons set, which I then embossed with white powder.

I repeated this process with copper embossing powder.

The smaller solid leaf was then added in between for another layer of interest. These were not heat embossed but left as a watermark.

The piece was mounted on to a white card base. A sentiment from the same set was embossed with gold powder on Very Vanilla card and cut to a banner.

Some copper thread and copper trim were adhered behind the sentiment before adhering to the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the shop below.

Good Tidings

Good Morning,

Layering stamp sets seem to be all the rage at the moment. This holly branch combines a number of stamps for a realistic effect.

For the leaves I used Wild Wasabi and Garden Green inks to get a rich dark green colour.

The berries were first stamped in Calypso Coral, with Real Red for the second layer.

The branch used Soft Suede and Early Espresso ink.

The sentiment, I opted for Crushed Curry for a “gold” look with out getting the embossing powders out…. Sort of like a vintage card may have looked.

To tie the yellow in, I adhered this on to a So Saffron card layer and added some lovely new Quilted Christmas ribbon down the side. This was all added to a Garden Green card base, with a couple of rhinestones.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are linked to the shop below.

Beautiful Season

Hi there,

I have another card featuring new products for you.

This great tree is a layering stamp. The base layer was stamped in Tranquil Tide ink.

I chose to use versamark ink for the second layer so I could heat emboss with white powder for a snow effect.

The border was die cut with the Card Front Builder die set.

Some red card stock was adhered behind the white layer, and the sentiment added.

The panel was added to a Tranquil Tide card base, to match the foliage of the tree.
