Holly Berry Burst

Good Morning,

Two more retiring stamp sets being put to use to make this card. I have used some different colour combinations too.

To make the stamped background, I have used the large holly design and Very Vanilla card stock.

Emerald Envy and Tranquil Tide created a very rich colour for the leaves. For the berries, I used Berry Burst and Fresh Fig.

The background was matted on to Berry Burst and Emerald Envy card stock. Fresh Fig finely woven ribbon and copper trim were wrapped around this before adhering to the card base.

The sentiment was stamped in Berry Burst ink and also matted on to Berry Burst and Emerald Envy card stock cut with Layering Square dies.

Finally, a bow was tied from Fresh Fig ribbon and added below the sentiment topper.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Frosted Leaves

Good Morning,

Today’s card uses the “little stamps” from the Good Tidings set. I have also used nontraditional colours.

The card base is made from thick Whisper White card stock. A Whisper White card layer was added on to this.

The piece of card stock used for stamping measures 3 by 4-3/4 inches.

The stamps are two-step images. The holly leaves were stamped in Smoky Slate. Where the images overlap, the colour will appear slightly darker.

The berries are stamped with Tempting Turquoise. The first layer was stamped off once first.

The stamped panel was adhered to a piece of Tempting Turquoise card stock, 3-1/8 by 4-7/8 inches.

Some metallic edge ribbon was adhered across the panel before adding to the card base.

The sentiment was stamped with Basic Grey ink and cut with a layering oval. A larger scalloped oval was also cut from Tempting Turquoise card stock. This was added to the card with dimensionals.

A small knot of ribbon finished off the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Good Tidings #GDP113

Hi there,

It is a Colour Challenge over at the Global Design Project this week!

Click here to see what the Design Team created to inspire us!

This combo screamed Christmas!

I have used the Good Tidings stamp set to make a background. The layers are stamped with same colour ink, but the first was stamped off to give a lighter shade. This was mounted on to Cherry Cobbler card stock and then on to a Pool Party card base.

The sentiment, I stamped in Pear Pizzazz and used the Layering Square framelit to cut it out.

I wanted a narrow border of red peeking out from behind this, so I cut this with my trimmer.

Finally, this was added to a Pol Party Scalloped square, and the on to the card with dimensionals.

A small bow tied from Pool Party Shimmer ribbon completed the card.

I hope you enjoyed the project today. Thanks for stopping by and happy stampin’!

Good Tidings

Good Morning,

Layering stamp sets seem to be all the rage at the moment. This holly branch combines a number of stamps for a realistic effect.

For the leaves I used Wild Wasabi and Garden Green inks to get a rich dark green colour.

The berries were first stamped in Calypso Coral, with Real Red for the second layer.

The branch used Soft Suede and Early Espresso ink.

The sentiment, I opted for Crushed Curry for a “gold” look with out getting the embossing powders out…. Sort of like a vintage card may have looked.

To tie the yellow in, I adhered this on to a So Saffron card layer and added some lovely new Quilted Christmas ribbon down the side. This was all added to a Garden Green card base, with a couple of rhinestones.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are linked to the shop below.

Happy Stampin’!
