You Are Loved

Hi Everyone,

This lovely Blossoming Basket is perfect to let someone know how special they are.

The set is available for free with a qualifying order of £45 during Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-a-bration event which ends 31st March.

For more details click here!

My card has been made by stamping the image with Memento ink on to Whisper White card stock.

I have used Stampin’ Blends to colour it in. The markers blend beautifully. The flowers use Pink Pirouette and Rich Razzleberry, which give the petals dimension.

The coloured panel was mounted on to dome Fresh Fig card stock.

Pear Pizzazz shimmer ribbon was added to the bottom before adhering to an Old Olive card base.

The sentiment from the set was cut with the Tailored Tag punch to create a hexagon. A small bow was added to finish off.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Eclectic Rainbow #GDP127

Good Morning,

The Global Design Project gas theme challenge this week…….. Sale-a-bration!

The design team have made some amazing cards. You can see them all here!

My project uses the wonderful Eclectic Expressions stamp set and Shimmer Ribbon.

I started by stamping the rainbow of splatters across the middle of a Whisper White card panel.

The panel was wiped over with an embossing buddy to ensure the ink was completely dry. With clear versamark ink, I stamped the circle image from the set randomly over the card. Clear embossing powder was poured over and heat set.

With a sponge brayer, Soft Sky ink was applied over the top. The circles act as a resist, remaining white.

The panel was adhered to a Basic Grey card base.

Basic Grey and Bermuda Bay shimmer ribbon was adhered to the card with a little Fast Fuse ensuring this would be covered by the sentiment.

The sentiment was stamped in black ink and added to the card with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Here for You

Hi Everyone,

I just love these mini note cards in the Spring Summer catalogue.

Last week the team were discussing the colour trends that can be seen on the high street. From linen to homeware, soft pastel shades of mint, pink, taupe and grey are popular right now.

These colours inspired the card today.

Butterflies from the Blossoming Basket Sale-a-bration set were stamped with Pool Party, Blushing Bride and Smoky Slate ink.

The coordinating card stock colours were cut with punches, 1 inch, 1-1/8 inch scallop and 1-1/4 inch. These were adhered with snail adhesive.

Some Basic Grey shimmer ribbon, (also a Sale-a-bration item), was added in a zig-zag to the card base. The circles were added over the top.

The sentiment was stamped on to a strip of Whisper White card stock.

To accommodate the ribbon and card stock layer beneath, this was adhered using dimensionals at each end.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Daisy Fancy Fold Card

Good Morning,

Welcome to February’s InspireInk blog hop. The theme for this month is:-

Fancy Fold

I decided to make a stepper style card and the Daisy Delight suite of products.

The card base was cut at the usual 4-1/8 (10.5cm).

Then score the long side as follows using the Stampin’ Trimmer:

At 12.5cm, 23.4cm and 25.8cm score down to 2.5cm.

Rotate the card 180 degrees and then score at 15cm down to 8cm.

Turn the card to the short side. Make a cut between upper and lower most short score lines.

Gently fold along the score lines and the card will take shape. Burnish the creases.

Mats were cut from Wisteria Wonder card stock. These measure;

7.6cm by 14.6cm

3.5cm by 9.8cm

2.1cm by 10.4cm

The corresponding DSP layers measure;

7.2cm by 14.2cm

9.5cm by 3.1cm

1.9cm by 10.1cm

Four daisies were stamped and punched. These were adhered together in pairs to form two full flowers.

The sentiments were stamped in Calypso Coral ink.

The flames were stamped in Peekaboo Peach ink. The base of each flame was stamped off slightly before adding to the card. Some Wink of Stella adds some sparkle.

For Making My Birthday Happy

Good Morning Everyone,

Here’s another simple card that uses minimal supplies, ideal for a new crafter.

I have used Very Vanilla card stock for the card base.

The stamps come from the Playful Backgrounds set. The open circles were state first with Emerald Envy ink. The closed circles were stamped off once to give a lighter shade of colour.

The sentiment is from the All Things Thanks set. This was stamped and cut with the Tailored Tag punch.

As an optional extra, some card stock was cut with the Pretty Label punch. The Tailored Tag fits on top of this beautifully.

Some Striped Grosgrain ribbon was adhered to the card in a zigzag fashion, the label was then added over the top with dimensionals.

Just Thanks!

Happy Sunday,

Today’s card is simplicity itself, really easy to make even if you are new to card making.

The card base has been made in my usual way. Cut A4 lengthways at 4-1/8 inches, (10.5cm) then score at 5-7/8 inches, (15cm).

A white card layer measuring 3-7/8 inches, (9.8cm) by 5-5/8 inches, (14.3cm) was used to stamp on.

Using Sweet Sugarplum ink, I stamped the splatters from the Touches of Texture stamp set.

The word “Thanks!” was taken from the You Move Me set. This was stamped on to a strip of Whisper White card stock, the end was cut with the Triple Banner punch.

The butterfly was cut using the the coordinating dies in both Sweet Sugarplum and Whisper White card stock.

The two pieces were bent slightly along the body and adhered together with glue dots. This was then added to the card with dimensionals.

Team Card Swap

Hi there,

I am part of a great Stampin’ Up! team. At each new catalogue launch we take part in a card swap, sharing our ideas with each other.

So now everyone has received their card, I am sharing it with you!

I used the Magical Day bundle.

I started by colouring my dragons with Stampin’ Blends.

The image was die cut with the coordinating framelits. By chance, the image fits perfectly on top of a Starburst punch. This was punched from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper and then mounted on to a Stitched Circle die cut from Soft Sky card stock.

The card base was made using Emerald Envy card stock.

A 2 inch strip of Eastern Palace DSP was wrapped with some vellum and adhered across the centre of the card.

The sentiment was stamped in Emerald Envy ink. A few Calypso Coral enamels shapes pulled the colours together.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Happy Friday!

There is a new sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This one is from Narelle.

The design team have provided lots of inspiration. You can see their projects here!

This is my entry for this week. I have gone for a monochrome design featuring Dapper Denim.

The card base was made from Whisper White card stock.

A Whisper White layer was adhered to a piece of Dapper Denim card stock.

Myths & Magic washi tape was adhered across the middle of the card. The other strip was created by cutting a strip to a banner and adding score lines with the Simply Scored tool.

For the focal point, the leafy wreath from the Hello Friend stamp set was stamp with Dapper Denim ink and die cut with the largest Stitched Circle.

A smaller Stitched Circle in Whisper White was adhered to a Dapper Denim Starburst.

The sentiment was cut with a 1-1/4 inch punch and adhered to a 1-3/8 Dapper Denim scalloped circle.

The three elements were layered together with dimensionals then adhered to the card vase with Fat Fuse adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Hugs Hugs Hugs #GDP125

Hi Everyone,

Its a colour challenge at the Global Design Project this week. You can see what the design team created here!

This is my project.

As it is also Valentine’s Day today, I thought some hearts would be nice, though I wanted to make something to give a friend rather than a partner.

I used the word hugs from the Lovely Inside and Out set. This was stamped in all three colours for the challenge. A Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the clear mount stamps.

The speckles from the same set embellished the left hand edge. The ink was stamped off twice first.

The heart is from the Sure Do Love You set. Ink was stamped off only once.

Unusually for me, this is a one layer card. The stamped panel was mounted on to a Dapper Denim card base.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

The card base was made with Very Vanilla card stock.

Gold foil DSP from the Bundle of Love collection was layered on to Bermuda Bay card stock.

The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous set and stamped in Bermuda Bay ink.

Some enamel shapes were added to complete the card.
