Hello – Just Add Ink #410

Good Morning!

The challenge this week is to use this colourful image as inspiration for a project.

You can see what the design team have made by clicking here!

For me, it was the colours that stood out, along with the bunting and the word ‘hello’.

And this is what I came up with.

The deep green of the wall in the image was mirrored by the Tranquil Tide card base. Clear Versamark ink was used to stamp bunting from the new Pick a Pennant stamp set across the background.

I picked out Pineapple Punch, Grapefruit Grove and the brand new Petal Pink inks to stamp more bunting across a piece of white card stock. This was layered onto Berry Burst and Tempting Turquoise card stock.

I used the Lined Alphabet stamp set to create the word ‘hello’. This was stamped in Versamark ink and then heat embossed with gold powder. The letters were coloured with Bermuda Bay watercolour pencil.

To finish the card, I took the idea of the spots in the background, and added Tranquil Tide pearls from the set of Artisan Pearls.

I hope you enjoyed this project. Some of the supplies used are listed below and are available from 1st June.

Thanks for stopping by today and Happy Stampin’!

Good Times! Just Add Ink 408

Happy Monday!

I am taking part in this week’s Just Add Ink colour challenge today.

The design team have made some fabulous samples. You can see them here.

These are the colours for the challenge. Whilst they shout out florals, I wanted to do something different.

I decided to build a background and make the sentiment the feature.

I picked out the Happy Celebrations set because I liked the idea of using triangles to make my background.

The card base is made with Wild Wasabi card stock.

Layers were cut from Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz and adhered these together.

A separate Whisper White layer WS cut for stamping. The triangles were stamped with Pear Pizzazz and Powder Pink inks. I used first, second and third generation ink to get a range of shades in the same colour.

The stamped panel was adhered to the other layers. Some Powder Pink finely woven ribbon was added at the bottom. This was then secured to the card base with dimensionals.

The “celebrate” and “good times” sentiments were stamped separately with Wild Wasabi ink and trimmed to size. These were added to the card using dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

To Think of You – Just Add Ink #406

Hi there Everybody,

I am taking part in the Just Add Ink challenge today.

This week is a sketch challenge. The design team have made some stunning samples. You can see them here!

I went all in and made six cards in different colour ways;

Marina Mist, Always Artichoke, Perfect Plum, Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise and Elegant Eggplant.

To make each circular topper, I stamped the sentiment and beaded circle from the Eastern Beauty stamp set. This was cut with a 2-1/4 inch punch.

Each card base was stamped with coordinating ink using the larger circle stamp from the set.

Black and White striped paper from the Tutti-Frutti DSP stack was cut in to 1-1/2 inch strips and then adhered at an angle.

The sentiment topper was added to the card base with dimensionals. A few black rhinestones finished the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Magical Day Shaker – Just Add Ink #404

Hi Everyone,

I am taking part in this week’s Just Add Ink Challenge.

This time the task is to create a Shaker card…. Not something I make a lot!

Pop over to the Just Add Ink blog to see what the design team have made.

Here is what I created.

I just love the Magical Day stamp bundle … It is such a shame it will be retiring at the end of May.

The card base is made with Pink Pirouette card stock. Some Daffodil Delight striped paper from the Tutti-Frutti collection was adhered to the front.

I chose to make a heart shaped aperture from Pink Pirouette card stock. Some Window Sheet adhered to the back with Fast Fuse.

Adhesive foam strips were applied around the aperture and the edge of the card stock.

Gold glitter flakes and some sequins were placed in the centre of the card. The aperture was then adhered over the top.

The sentiment from the stamp set was stamped with Pink Pirouette ink and cut with the Everyday Label punch. This was adhered with dimensionals withe some Silver metallic thread looped behind.

Three unicorns were coloured with Stampin’ Blend markers.

I hope that you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Foil & Feathers – Just Add Ink #402

Hello Everyone,

I am joining the Just Add Ink Challenge again this week. The theme is:

To see what the design team created, click here!

This is my project. I chose foil and feathers!

I went all in with the card base and used a piece of the Foil Frenzy collection. I love this Soft Sky foiling.

The little budgies are from the Bird Banter stamp set. They were stamped on Very Vanilla card stock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers.

I used a Stitched Circle framelit to cut the image. This was adhered flat towards the left edge of the card front.

The sentiment is added simply using a small banner, which I layered with some Soft Sky card stock to complement the foil.

Finally, three “feathers” were stamped and cut from Soft Sky card stock. These are actually the little stylised leaves from the Daisy Delight stamp set!

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.
