Just Add Ink #421

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to another Just Add Ink challenge entry…. This week the team has provided this sketch as inspiration. All their projects can be seen here!

I thought I would try Colouring on Vellum for this project. I picked out a geometric pattern and pale coloured Stampin’ Blend markers.

  1. Highland Heather
  2. Mint Macaron
  3. Petal Pink
  4. Flirty Flamingo
  5. Soft Sea Foam

The piece was adhered to a white card base.

The same markers were used to colour the decorative circle image from the Painted Glass stamp set.

This was adhered to a Soft Sea Foam starburst and a Pearlized Doily.

The sentiment was stamped simply with black ink.

The Delicate Trio punch was used to round the corners.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

Thanks for stopping by today and happy Stampin’!

Autumnal Thank You #FMS349

Hi Everyone,

Welcome back to my usual Friday post when I create a project using a sketch from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

This one leaves plenty of room for creativity…. The design team have made some great inspirational projects. You can them all on the FMS blog here!

I couldn’t resist getting out the Blended Seasons stamp set once again for this challenge.

I started by using post it notes to section off the portion at the bottom. The section was coloured with Daffodil Delight ink and a sponge dauber. The leaves from the stamp set were then added using Stazon black ink.

I then coloured the leaves with Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze watercolour Pencils. A blender pen was used to smooth out the lines.

Stazon black ink was then used to add the sentiment across the top.

The panel was adhered to a Pumpkin Pie card base.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.

To make the card, the floral image was stamped with Stazon Ink and allowed to dry.

Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green and Garden Green watercolour Pencils were used to shade the image. A blender pen was used to smooth out the Colouring.

The panel was adhered to a Granny Apple Green layer, which in turn was added to a Gorgeous Grape card base with dimensionals.

Gray Granite ink was used to stamp the lovely sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

For George

Hello Everyone,

Last week we said goodbye to one of our colleagues who was moving on to pursue her dream career.

As she loves butterflies, I knew exactly which set to use.

The large butterfly from the Beautiful Day was stamped with Stazon ink and allowed to dry completely.

In the meantime, the base was prepared by layering Whisper White card stock on to Gray Granite card stock. Some Bermuda Bay ink was used to add some texture to the background.

The sentiment was stamped with Melon Mambo ink and layered on to Smoky Slate card stock. The corners were rounded with the Detailed Trio punch.

The butterfly was coloured using watercolour pencils and blender pens. A bone folder was used to add shape the wings which were secured with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

Today is also the last day to enjoy the Designer Series Paper sale and take advantage of the amazing joining offer.

Many Marvellous Markers

Good Morning Everybody,

Today’s project is a special thank you to my fab upline Sam Hammond …. Not only does she love rainbows, but I have used the Many Marvellous Marker collection which I only have because of her amazing generosity.

I have used the “acrylic block technique” to make this colourful background.

By adding ink from the stampin’ write markers on to the block, lightly spritzing with water and then stamping this on to watercolour paper – that’s it!

Leave it to dry and then cut it to size.

The stampin’ write markers can be used for stamping too! The sentiment from All Things Thanks was coloured with three markers, Smoky Slate, Basic Grey and Basic Black for a gradient effect.

I finished the card with black bakers twine and rhinestones.

I hope you enjoyed this project. To get your hands on these marvellous products click the links below.

Half Full

What an amazing weekend! Becoming a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator was the best decision ever.

Yesterday was a team day put together by my upline Sam Hammond and Caroline Helwigh.

During the day, we had the opportunity to work with the Half Full stamp set.

I made three cards in the time we had… including a Christmas card with not a wine glass in sight!

The images were coloured using blender pens and ink. I can’t wait to try watercolour pencils and Stampin’ Blends with this set too!

Once coloured, the images were layered up and simply attached to card bases.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

For Mum

Good Morning!

I made this card especially for my mother-in-law’s birthday last weekend.

I used the beautiful Stampin’ Blends to colour the rose image. The darkest shades of Cherry Cobbler were used in the centre, gradually blending in the lighter shades of Calypso Coral towards the edges.

The leaves were coloured with Old Olive markers. The dark shade was added along the veins of the leaves and then blended with the light marker.

The dies were used to cut a black outline image and the sentiment.

The fine tip glue pen was used to adhere the delicate outline. The sentiment was raised on dimensionals. The panel was added to a Calypso Coral card base.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.
