Smart Stampin’ International Instagram hop – New Mini Catalogue!

Hello Everyone,

This evening I’m bringing you a card I made for the Smart Stampin’ International Instagram hop!

You can hop through all the projects from my post @stampinwithinkybutterfly

Our theme this time is “New Mini Catalogue”!

This was the card I really wanted to make with this beautiful new Winterly Treetops bundle.

The wreath is made in two pieces for this design.

Everything was coloured with Stampin’ Blends markers for that Christmassy feel.

I wanted to add the sentiment as a popped up element. This fitted inside one of the new Christmas Labels dies – another lovely set.

For the background, I used the Birch embossing folder – so pretty on the Basic Beige cardstock!

The supplies used will be available to purchase from 4th September 2024!

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Thanks for stopping by today and happy Stampin’!

First Christmas Card for 2024!

Hello Everyone,

So here it is, the first Christmas card of 2024. This one is very simple though, using some festive colours with the layout.

I used the Perennial Postage dies to cut a panel, which I blended with some Poppy Parade ink. I probably should have added more than I did… It looks a bit pink!

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial….

Layers of Basic White and Gold Foil were added before wrapping some metallic trim. The panel was then added to Shaded Spruce card base.

I used the online exclusive Greetings of the Season stamp set to create the sentiment, which I cut out with the Modern Oval punch.

This version uses Bubble Bath, Soft Seafoam and Smoky Slate which turned out much prettier, in my opinion.

The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Thanks for stopping by today and happy Stampin’!

I used a scrap of Summer Splash cardstock to create a banner to go across the rectangle and wrapped some bakers twine.

Inspire Create Challenge #175 – Sketch Challenge!

Hello Everyone,

Today’s card is made for the latest Inspire Create Challenge Design Team!

For Challenge #175 we are using a sketch to inspire our projects!

You can see the other design team projects and take part in the challenge by clicking below!

As usual, I prefer a portrait layout, so I have rotated the sketch for my design.

I added Pretty Peacock ink to the background panel with a blending brush.

The Distressed Tile embossing folder was then used for a letterpress technique with Wild Wheat ink.

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial…

I find that the results are best with two passes through the die cut machine.

I used my paper trimmer to slice the panel into sections.

A Heartfelt Hexagon was added at the intersection. Sketched Butterflies dies were substituted for gems or pearls!

Try other colour combinations… This one is more muted, with Copper Clay and Basic Beige.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Creating a Dimensional Background with Nested Essentials Dies!

Hello Everyone,

Here’s another background idea for you, this time using the Nested Essentials dies!

Six die cuts are needed, I used 3 in Basic White, 2 in Pool Party and 1 in Night of Navy.

The sentiment is taken from Wonderful Thoughts and stamped with Blueberry Bushel ink.

A combination of Thoughtful Wishes and Sentimental Park created the foliage and flowers. Some Wink of Stella pulled some colour from the stamped outline.

This card used Calypso Coral and Petal Pink, not my favourite colours, but look great together in this layout.

I also creating this version when I was designing today’s project. This one uses the smaller shape in Basic White. The flowers are in Melon Mambo and the sentiment in Pebbled Path.
