Another Wonderful Year – Stampin' with inkybutterfly

This week’s sketch from the Freshly Made Design Team offers lots of scope. There is plenty of inspiration on the blog, see it here!

For my design, I started by using the Subtle embossing folder to add texture to a white card layer.

A hint of Balmy Blue ink was sponged along the edges before adding to a Whisper White card base.

A 2-1/2 inch strip of Animal Expedition designer series paper was adhered to the card.

Some Wood Textures designer series paper was cut at 2 inches and then cut down to size. This piece was adhered with dimensionals.

Call Me Clover ink was used to stamp the sentiment on to a strip of white card stock.

Some Copper Metallic thread was looped and secured on to the DSP. The sentiment was then added over the top with dimensionals.

Three Sahara Sand adhesive sequins were added for some extra texture.

The Inspire.Create design team have created some wonderful projects with this card sketch challenge. You can see them all here!

I used the sketch to help with the design of this year’s Father’s Day card.

I chose Blueberry Bushel as the main colour for the design.

I cut and scored a card base in the usual way and then used the Maps Dynamic Textures embossing folder to emboss the front.

A 2 inch strip of Blueberry Bushel DSP was adhered to a 2-1/2 inch piece of Lemon Lime Twist card stock. Night of Navy Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the panel and then adhered to the card base with dimensionals.

I used the Another Wonderful Year stamp set and Blueberry Bushel ink to stamp the sentiment on to a 1/2 inch strip of Whisper White card stock.

Dimensional adhesive was used to secure the sentiment to the card.
