Smart Stampin’ International Insta-hop – Case the Catalogue!

Hello Everyone,

This evening I’m bringing you a card I made for the Smart Stampin’ International Instagram hop!

You can hop through all the projects from my post @stampinwithinkybutterfly

Our theme this time is “Case the Catalogue”!

This bundle isn’t my normal go to style but I loved the little trees, mountains and stylised snowflakes!

My card is inspired by the design on page 32 of the mini catalogue. I flipped it to a portrait layout and picked different colours.

I love how it turned out, what do you think?

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Thanks for stopping by today and happy Stampin’!

Project Share Project Blog Hop – September 2024 – Embossing!

Good Morning Everybody,

Welcome to this month’s Project Share Project blog hop. Our theme this month is Embossing!

See the other projects by using the links below, or use the “Next” button at the bottom of this post!

Heather Forgan – Stamp With Nellie

Victoria Littlewood – Vickie Lou Designs

Jayne Frank – Craft with Jayne

I’ve been experimenting with variations of the Joseph’s Coat technique.

For this one, I used pinks and purples to colour the some Basic White cardstock.

The flowers from the Labelled with Love stamp set wre used to stamp over the background with versamark ink. These were then heat embossed with clear powder.

Berry Burst ink was added over the top of the embossing allowing the background colours to show through.

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial…

This version is more traditional, in that it uses black ink to create the resist. The background was coloured with subtles inks.

And for these….

I used the brights inks with the butterflies, and added Night of Navy.

For something completely different, I went for an ombre background of Coastal Cabana, Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock!

Click below to move on to Heather’s project!

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Hello Everyone,

I think this is my favourite set in the 2024 Annual Catalogue from Stampin’ Up!

I’ve shared so many cards with this, but here’s a fun layout using the fabulous Spotlight on Nature dies.

The butterflies were stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink… Great blue colour… And die cut them out.

Each was was adhered to a circle from the Spotlight on Nature die set.

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial….

The background had a little ink added to create some contrast.

I heat embossed the sentiment on coordinating cardstock and finished with some grey pearls.

This version uses Berry Burst for bright bold look.

Smart Stampin’ International Instagram hop – New Mini Catalogue!

Hello Everyone,

This evening I’m bringing you a card I made for the Smart Stampin’ International Instagram hop!

You can hop through all the projects from my post @stampinwithinkybutterfly

Our theme this time is “New Mini Catalogue”!

This was the card I really wanted to make with this beautiful new Winterly Treetops bundle.

The wreath is made in two pieces for this design.

Everything was coloured with Stampin’ Blends markers for that Christmassy feel.

I wanted to add the sentiment as a popped up element. This fitted inside one of the new Christmas Labels dies – another lovely set.

For the background, I used the Birch embossing folder – so pretty on the Basic Beige cardstock!

The supplies used will be available to purchase from 4th September 2024!

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Thanks for stopping by today and happy Stampin’!

First Christmas Card for 2024!

Hello Everyone,

So here it is, the first Christmas card of 2024. This one is very simple though, using some festive colours with the layout.

I used the Perennial Postage dies to cut a panel, which I blended with some Poppy Parade ink. I probably should have added more than I did… It looks a bit pink!

You can see how I made this card in my video tutorial….

Layers of Basic White and Gold Foil were added before wrapping some metallic trim. The panel was then added to Shaded Spruce card base.

I used the online exclusive Greetings of the Season stamp set to create the sentiment, which I cut out with the Modern Oval punch.

This version uses Bubble Bath, Soft Seafoam and Smoky Slate which turned out much prettier, in my opinion.

The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.

Hello Everyone,

Today I’m bringing you the card I shared over on Instagram for this month’s Crafty Challenge….

You can hop through all the projects from my post @stampinwithinkybutterfly

This sketch is so flexible… I’m keeping it nice and simple.

The rectangle was cut using the Everyday Details dies. I added Pretty in Pink and Petunia Pop ink with a Blending Brush and layered it on to black cardstock.

I used a scrap of Summer Splash cardstock to create a banner to go across the rectangle and wrapped some bakers twine.

The sentiment was stamped onto black cardstock and heat embossed in white.

The card base is made with Basic Beige cardstock with an embossed background.

This version uses Copper Clay, Wild Wheat and Boho Blue on a Very Vanilla card base.

The supplies used are listed and linked to the online store below.

I would love to be your demonstrator.
