Carols of Christmas

Hello Everyone,

Christmas comes round early for crafters, and Stampin’ UP! have released a new stamp set to help us get started.

This is Carols of Christmas and is available as a bundle with coordinating dies.

I have used traditional green and red for this project.

The card base is made from Tranquil Tide card stock.

I used the matching dies in the bundle to create a decorative white layer. I wanted to pull in some red so I cut a piece a fraction smaller to sit behind it.

The sentiment was stamped in Tranquil Tide ink, die cut with a layering square framelit and then added to a Real Red scalloped square.

The baubles were stamped on to the card with Smoky Slate ink. I stamped these again on to some scrap with Garden Green ink and die cut them. These were added to the card with mini dimensionals.

Finally, I added some pine boughs with I die cut from Pear Pizzazz card stock.

I hope you enjoyed this project. You can shop now by clicking on the supply links below.

Bits n Pieces

The colours used are Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral and Tranquil Tide.

I stamped the sketchy flower from the Pieces and Patterns stamp set on to some Whisper White card.

I added two strips of Calypso Coral ombre ribbon.

The sentiment was made into a “rosette”. The starburst punch came in handy to help create this effect. I added “tails” using Calypso Coral card.

I hope you liked this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.

Thinking of You

Hey there Everybody,

In a complete contrast to yesterday, this card is understated but elegant. There are sadly unfortunate occasions where this kind of card is needed.

I cut black card stock lengthways at 4 1/8 inches and then scored the width at 5 7/8 inches to make the card base.

The background layer of Very Vanilla card stock was embossed with the Petal Burst embossing folder.

For the centre piece, I stamped the sentiment in clear versamark ink then heat embossed this with gold powder. This was cut out with the Starburst punch and adhered to a Vanilla Stitched Circle die cut.

A scalloped circle was then die cut from black card stock. Before adhering the sentiment, I attached some Metallic Edge ribbon, which I then wrapped around the background layer before adding to the card base.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The products used are listed and linked to the shop below.

Now is a great time to join Stampin’ UP! There’s a new Autumn/Winter catalogue launching soon for customers, but Demonstrators get to see it early! ….. And it is fab-u-lous!!

If you wanna see what’s coming, find out about SU by following the link in the menu. I’d love to take some lovely new team mates to our On Stage event in November.

The sentiment, also from the Climbing Orchid set and stamped with Sweet Sugarplum ink.

Colour Blend

Good Morning,

A bright sunshiny card to share with you today.

The tiny flower from the Swirly Bird stamp set was stamped over a piece of Very Vanilla card with versamark ink. The images were covered with clear embossing powder and heat set.

Using sponge daubers, I added ink to the background, starting with the lightest colour. The edges of each colour were blended together. I used So Saffron, Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay – my favourites! The embossed flowers resist the ink.

The sentiment is from Sunshine Sayings, simply stamped with black ink on to a strip of Very Vanilla card.

Copper Delight

Hi there,

Here’s another idea for using the Pattern Party masks.

I started by making a black card base which I then wiped with an embossing buddy.

Versamark ink was pressed through the mask onto the black card. I added some copper embossing powder and heat set.

The sentiment was stamped on to half inch strips of coloured card stock  in black ink. I used Island Indigo, Lemon Lime Twist and Melon Mambo.

I finished the card with copper thread and copper trim tied in to a bow.

Why, Thank You!

Good Morning,

It’s the last day of school term and this is the card I made for my daughter to give to her teacher.

I cut some Crumb Cake card stock using the third largest die from the layering squares framelits.

The pencils from the Pieces and Patterns set were stamped in Early Espresso ink. This wasadhered to a piece of Tranquil Tide card stock cut with a Stitched Shape framelit.

The card base is made from Soft Suede card stock. To this I added a layer of Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Colour Theory DSP.

I finally adhered the square to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the same set was stamped at the bottom of the card with Early Espresso ink.

I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed and linked below.
