Good morning,
I thought I would share these boxes I have made to house some Christmas gifts. So pleased with them.
Sadly, the Year of Cheer DSP has now sold out, but the dimensions can be applied to any other card stock.
The box has been designed to be 3-1/2 inches cubed when complete.
For the base I cut card stock to 10-1/2 inches square and scored all four sides at 3-1/2 inches.
Each corner was cut away, leaving only a tab for adhesive. Bring the sides together and secure with strong double sided tape.
The lid is reinforced and used a full sheet of 12 by 12 inch DSP or card stock.
To ensure the lid fitted over the base, leave a small (about 1/16 inch) gap next to the left hand butt bar of the Simply Scored tool.
Each side was scored at 1-3/4 and 4-1/4. Cut away three sections, (an ‘L’ shape) from each corner and form a tab for adhering the box together. The lid was assembled by bringing the sides in first to make each corner. The additional tabs were then folded in and secured with strong double sided tape.
Copper Trim and Gold Natural Trim were wrapped around each box.
Matching tags were cut from the waste card stock using the Everyday Label punch.
I hope you enjoyed this project. The supplies used are listed below.
Also check out the sale, some products have already sold out. The clearance rack has also been updated with some items significantly reduced.
Thanks for stopping by and happy Stampin’!
