Good Morning,
It’s Wednesday – that means its Global Design Project day. This week is a sketch challenge.
You can see what the design team created here.
… And this is my interpretation of the sketch…
The card base is made with Real Red card stock which was stamped using the Brushstrokes background and Real Red ink.
I used Birthday Memories DSP to create the topper. Two strips were cut to 1-1/2 by 4 inches and matted on to Early Espresso card stock. Some Whisper White bakers twine and Linen thread were wrapped around the topper before adhering to the card base with dimensionals.
The sentiment was taken from Happy Birthday Gorgeous and stamped in Real Red ink. This was cut with the Starburst punch.
To complete the topper, this was layered on to another Starburst cut from Early Espresso and a Crumb Cake stitched circle. This was adhered flat to the card.
I substituted the heart from the sketch with a circle. A 1-1/4 inch punch was used to cut a cake from another sheet of DSP. This was added to Real Red and Crumb Cake circles. This was adhered to the card with dimensionals.
The finishing touch was to add some rhinestones.
I hope you enjoyed this project.
Thanks for stopping by and happy stampin’!
Verity x

Love this! I struggle with how to use these papers….I just want to look at them, they’re so cute, but to actually use them on something is a challenge! I might have to CASE this because it’s super fun!

How fun! I love this panel of paper and, like LeAnne, have struggled with how to showcase it. This is perfect! What a fun card! Thanks for playing along with this week’s sketch challenge at Global Design Project!
