Pinch Punch – first of the month! where did the last 3 months go!

I have a lovely bright card for you today. Rich Razzleberry is a beautiful colour, one of many that feature in this designer paper.

I have allowed the pink colour to be the star of the show by creating a wider border than usual. The addition of Copper Metallic Thread provides some interest before adding the sentiment which has been created with the Layering Circle Framelits.

Good Morning! I hope it is sunny where you are today!

I have used this wonderful coordinating stamp and designer paper combo today.

The Night of Navy card stock really lift the paper from the background.

The sentiment banner has been curved for some added dimension. This has been adhered using Fast Fuse as this is super sticky.

The flowers are stamped on to Crumb Cake card which I then fussy cut out. The petals were curled to create a more realistic look. The rhinestones add a bit of bling…we all like a bit of bling!

Hey Crafters!

So I have had this designer paper for a while but have finally unleashed it with this card…. and it turned out great!

Some simple layering with Delightful Dijon really makes the paper “pop”. The ribbon adds some texture, but I decided to tie this into a knot rather than a bow.

All it needed was a sentiment. I chose this one from the Suite Sayings set, but you could choose anything to suit the occasion.

Here are some other colour combos to try, (Pacific Point, Elegant Eggplant, Garden Green, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Cherry Cobbler).

We are now into the final days of Sale-a-bration. Get your free products while they are still available. 

To make today’s project, I layered the Carried Away designer paper on to Watermelon Wonder card stock. The ribbon was tied around this and secured with a knot.

The xard base was randomly stamped in Smokey Slate ink. The panel was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The setiment wad stamped in Night of Navy ink and layered onto circlrs cut from Watermelon Wonder card stock.

The matching envelope was made using the envelope punch board following the instructions printed on the board.

Good Morning Crafters,

Today I bring you this beautifully simple card a friend would be glad to receive.

I cut the designer series paper to 4 by 5 3/4 inches which was adhered flat to the card base.

Using the layering square dies, I cut the largest scallop in Island Indigo. Plain squares were cut in Crumb Cake and Whisper White.

The sentiment from the Suite Sayings stamp set was stamped with Island Indigo ink. These were layered together and added to the card.

The Blossom Bunch and Petite Petal punches were used to make the flowers. A rhinestone was added to each flower centre and arranged on the card.

Hello again Crafty friends,

For this project, I started by layering the patterned paper on to some Delightful Dijon card, to fit on to an A6 card base.

On a piece of Very Vanilla measuring 4 by 2 1/2 inches, I stamped a greeting from the Paisleys and Posies stamp set using Dapper Denim ink. The edges of the panel were decorated with another stamp from the set also using Dapper Denim and Mint Macaron ink.

This was layered on to a piece of Delightful Dijon card measuring 4 by 2 3/4 inches. I adhered this to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For a different look, swap the card stock colour to any of the other colours featured in the paper.

Hi Crafters,

A clean and simple card project today.

The Hey Chick stamp set is only available as a free product choice with a qualifying order during the Sale-a-bration event, while stocks last. This will end 31st March. Once they’re gone…they’re gone!

I started by stamping the chick and sentiment with Archival Ink on to  a piece of Whisper White card measuring 3 7/8 by 5 5/8.

The image was coloured using a barely damp aqua painter. Whisper White will not take a lot of water. The colours used were Watermelon Wonder, Daffodil Delight and Soft Sky.

Once dry, this was layered on to a piece of Daffodil Delight card and added to the card base.

Hello and Good Morning!

Very simple make today, but very effective I think.

Starting at the bottom, I stamped 3 flowers from Sunshine Sayings stamp using elegant Eggplant ink. I repeated this at the top. Additional flowers were stamped in Perfect Plum and Wisteria Wonder.

The sentiment from the same stamp set was also stamped in Elegant Eggplant and cut in to a banner. This was added to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals and finished off with some rhinestones.

Hi Crafters,

I thought I would share a Mother’s Day card with you today.

To start I layered some Crumb Cake card on to some Whisper White card. I then wrapped the ribbon around this before adhering to a 6 by 4 inch card base.

I then added a lace doily towards the right hand side of the card.

On some White card stock, I stamped some of the elements from the Falling Flowers stamp set, which I then die cut with the coordinating May Flowers framelits. These were arranged on to the card as pictured.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment in Flirty Flamingo ink, which I then free-hand cut in to a banner. I added this to the card, tucking it in under some of the flowers.

Isn’t it cute! so pleased with this.

Hello Crafters,

I have a quick and simple card to share with you today.

The lace borders were stamped dirst with Pink Pirouetteink, approximately 1 1/2 inches apart.

Using post-it notes mask off the borders and stamp the flowers in black ink.

Stamp the sentiment and cut with the Classic label punch. Adhere this to a piece of ribbon, (3 inches), then add to the card.

I have a 3D project for you today. Aren’t these SO cute!

To make the box, start with a piece of Basic Black card cut to 8 1/2 by 6 1/2 inches.

Score the long side at 2, 4, 6 and 8 inches.

Score the short side at 2, 4 and 6 inches.

Cut away card stock as illustrated in the photo below. Note that at the bottom only the 1st and 3rd sections have been wedged so that the base remains neat and completely square when completed.

Using the Layering Square framelit #7, (counting in from the largest), cut 5 glimmer squares. Add these onto the 4 sides and lid of the box.

Add fast fuse to the tab, (right most on the photo), and wrap around to form the box. Fold in the side flaps, rear flap and then secure using the front flap in place with fast fuse.

Stamp the sentiment with coordinating ink and punch out using the Classic Label punch. Adhere to the box with glue dots.

Finally, punch out 3 glimmer flowers with the Petite Petal punch and adhere with glue dots.

Hi there Crafters,

Welcome to project number 3! featuring glimmer paper.

For this project I worked on a white layer, 3 3/8 by 4 7/8 inches, then adhered this to the card base.

First of all, I decided on the positioning of the ribbon. This was adhered using fast fuse, with the ends wrapped around the back.

The sentiment was punched out with the Decorative Label punch. I positioned the stamping towards the bottom of the label and then cut it down length-ways using my Stampin’ Trimmer.

Before adhering this down, I added some stamping from the Swirly Bird stamp set. I chose matching ink for the swirls and a neutral for the splatter effect. The sentiment was adhered flat, but up against the ribbon, to look like a banner.

Finally, I added 3 punched flowers. You will see from the photo, the single flower matched the ink colour.

I love this project – really cute, I hope you have enjoyed it too.

Hello again Crafters!

Here’s my 2nd glimmer paper project. This also uses another beautiful product…lace doilies, these are wonderful.

Starting with a Stampin’ Up! note card as a base, I cut a piece of coordinating card stock to 3 3/8 by 4 7/8 inches.  I added some detail with a stamp from Dragonfly Dreams, (this is completely optional).  This was stuck down with tape.

To build the central sentiment I used a number of layers.

Uppermost is the smallest of the Stitched Shapes, with a sentiment (of your choice). Behind this is some matching card stock cut using a Scalloped Circle #7, (counting in from the largest). Then there is a plain circle, cut using die #6. The glimmer piece was cut using a scalloped die #5. You may wish to use less layers than I have. This would work equally well using punches you may have already.

The doily and sentiment layers were place centrally on the card base. The finishing touch is a butterfly from Papillon Potpourri.

Hello Crafters,

This week I am featuring Glimmer Paper. This wonderful set of papers, (well card really), is available only as part of Sale-A-Bration. This is one of 15 FREE items that may be added to a qualifying order of £45, spend £90 choose 2 items etc. This event ends 31st March and stock is flying, so don’t miss out, get in quick. All the stamping on this project was done using the Avant Garden photopolymer set, (also available as a Sale-A-Bration item).

The glimmer paper comes as a pack of 12 6×6 inch sheets. There are 3 colours in the pack, Bermuda Bay, Sweet Sugarplum and Mint Macaron. I used the matching inks to stamp all the images.

Using a Stampin’ Up! note card as a base, I cut a the glimmer paper to 3 3/8 by 4 7/8 inches and a Whisper White layer at 3 1/8 by 4 5/8. This I stamped all over with the dots from Avant Garden. This was adhered to the glimmer paper with glue dots, (I found this was better than wet glue or tape).

Using the 2nd largest scalloped layering oval die, I cut another piece of glimmer paper, than a Whisper White Stitched Oval, (2nd largest). On this I stamped the sentiment and added the large flower from Avant Garden. I did not want this to be too strong so this was stamped off once first. The 2 layers were adhered together with glue dots.

The complete oval topper was placed on the card using dimensionals. Really simple to create and looks stunning, clean and bright with no fuss. Extra embellishments could be added, but I wanted the glimmer to shine!

Hello again Crafters,

I have the great pleasure of taking part in this blog hop. I hope you enjoy all the projects that have been created by my fellow Pootlers.

I love the simplicity of this card. 

This uses the Sweet Cupcake photopolymer with coordinating Cupcake Cutouts Framelits.

Each candle was stamped using a single ink colour. The base layer was stamped with 2nd generation ink, with the second layer added without stamping off first.

Colours used were Watermelon Wonder, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Cucumber Crush, Island Indigo, Sweet Sugarplum and Elegant Eggplant, with So Saffron used for the flames. The sentiment was stamped with Early Espresso.

The background was lifted by adding some splatters from the Gorgeous Grunge set with Smokey Slate ink.

All the elements were diecut and added to the cardbase using dimensionals.

5 projects made with a single 12×12 sheet of DSP…and some left over.

Small box made with the envelope punch board, decorated with DSP.

Hexagonal box made using the Window Box thinlits, also de orated with DSP.

The gift bag punch board was used to create a mini bag….. (Just big enough for a creme egg). Long ribbon handles eere attached with glue dots and hidden behind DSP.

The remaining DSP was used to make layers for a 6×4 card and a notecard. Tip Top Taupe cardstock was used as a mat.

Tags and sentiments were stamped in Early Espresso ink. Metallic ribbon was used to finish each project.
